4 games left...predict the Bills' final record
dpberr replied to Spurna's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
10-6 *and* playoffs because nothing would be more Billsy to do than grind the gears of 80% of the fan base that wants Rex Ryan fired. Not only does Ryan get the Bills to the playoffs, he's essentially here until he decides not to be. He'll probably even pick off the wild card just for spite. Besides, the NFL would love that story and the owners would go to the Pegulas and say "see, you've got a decent team now. No more excuses, go build a new stadium." I think that the Bills fan base would not be happy if Rex Ryan/Tyrod Taylor got the Bills into the playoffs. Just a hunch. -
I enjoy JDM's take on the Negan character. I laugh a lot at what he says and how he says it. Intentional or not, watching him with Judith toned down the "He's an absolute monster!" angle. There was some decent plot movement in last night's episode.

Christmas Gift Idea...seeking advice
dpberr replied to USMCBillsFan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Whenever I see commercials for these I think of Colossus: The Forbin Project. Today you're asking it cute questions on 80s music or wine selections to go with the chicken dish. Tomorrow, it's telling you that your showers are too long and cuts off the hot water after 2 minutes and directs that all carbohydrates be removed from the house since it detected a slight increase in your BMI. -
Jay Cutler is the most unhappiest man I've ever seen. Gifted athlete, his career is what he's good at, millionaire, beautiful wife and children.... And he looks completely miserable. I don't want him on a Bills team because he doesn't enjoy playing football and I think you need that to be fundamentally successful as an NFL player.

I've only seen them installed in PA (where I live) when it's 1) hooked up to relatively inexpensive natural gas and 2) there is uniquely heavy demand for water (lots of consecutive showers) that overwhelms a typical tank unit that'd be desperately trying to heat water to lukewarm temperature. Heating water is an inherently inefficient process. We've just made it less inefficient as time has gone on.
-
IMO, stick with the traditional tank system because an electric tankless water heater pulls a crazy amount of amps. Your standard tank pulls 25-30. The basic tankless water heaters pull nearly 3-4 times that - you're right away wiring for 120 amp pull. That's why most TWH are gas. Since they pull so much, you'll probably need to invest in some electrical work prior. And you're certainly not hooking it up to a generator if the power goes out. A standard tank - it's possible. Tankless water heaters require experience to install. Nearly any plumber can do a water heater. Tankless is more specialized. If something goes wrong and anywhere you have heat+water+time, it will, a traditional tank heater is less expensive to fix. In the absolute dire event you need water and you lack power, you have gallons of water to access with a standard tank.

Virginia Beach perhaps? Again, another dumb plot point because if they are looking for weapons, they've got Norfolk in the area and it's in really big letters on maps.

The non-sand covered female walker who looked like Heath on the bridge was the worst plot point in the history of the show and they've had some doozies. The best part of that episode was the Talking Dead with Alana Masterson in knee high stockings. Need more of that and less "Last relevant in the 1990s celebrities"

Plane Carrying Brazillian Soccer Team Crashes; 76 Dead
dpberr replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If you want to learn more about why and how air disasters occur, take a look at the Youtube videos made by Allec Joshua Ibay. He combines Flight Simulator 2004 with the black box recordings to recreate the problems/issues that led to crashes and near crashes. He's covered crashes from the 70s to present. Very interesting stuff. In some cases the downright negligence of the flight crew and/or the mechanic crew is appalling. -
Given that it is the Bills and the drought will not go out without a fight - The Bills will win in convincing fashion against every team but the Browns. The Bills will make Derek Carr look mortal and Cody Kessler immortal.
-
Wentz was great early on because nobody had tape on him and nobody really knew Pederson's offensive game plan. Other contributing factors are a significantly depleted offensive line and the lack of a good WR corps.
-
IMO Simon stands a good chance of dying to 1) elevate and grow Dwight's future story line and 2) much like Heath, the actor has other commitments.

Remember the slogan contest we had here a few months ago? Based on some of those hilarious submissions, I'm of the opinion many of you are qualified candidates and should apply. -
The Chiefs Have Real Problems
dpberr replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You asked for miracles Theo...I give you the Kansas... City...Chiefs. (In response to the concept that one of the AFC West teams has to plummet for the Bills to have a shot.) -
No problem. Just didn't want you to think that you had to run out and make that investment if you didn't necessarily want to.

Bill O'Brien is a terrible NFL coach. That punt on 4th and 4 was emasculating. He's a coach who cares more about not making mistakes rather than winning. Loser.

I don't fault Trump for not "going after" Clinton. I've been of the opinion she's elderly and ill and all it's going to do is make him look petty. The President of the United States shouldn't be marshaling that amount of resources to go after a private citizen. Besides, just because he's not going to appoint special prosecutors and all that jazz doesn't mean the she and Bill are entirely off the hook. The FBI will probably continue its active investigations into the Foundation.

Judith and Carl's hair are the safest characters on the show. I imagine the network is extremely sensitive to any plot ideas that kill infants - even off screen. Carl's hair was able to fight off both Jessie the experienced hairdresser *and* consistent showering to fight another day.
-
You may not have to replace the entire heater unless it's ancient or you just simply want to. That sounds like one of the elements has failed. The majority of water heaters have two elements, a lower and upper. 9 out of 10 times the lower one fails first simply because it's down in the muck and corrodes faster.

I think Talking Dead has run its course. At this point, I'm sick of seeing 3/4 of the guests they have on and most of the cast members look like they are there because they are required to be. I applaud that they keep trying to keep Kevin Smith relevant.

Aaron Rodgers looks completely uninterested in playing football this year.

Whoops, I meant portable. I changed my question.

I read an interesting theory over the weekend: Father Gabriel buried some weapons in Maggie's grave. While the Saviors took the RPG launcher, Abraham had a whole bag of grenades to go with the launcher and only one was used. It's likely that not all of the firearms were inventoried. Wouldn't be the first time the tactic was used. Rick buried his Season 1 bag of weapons outside Terminus.

Thoughts on portable generators? The house has a transfer switch installed. Judging on what's in the box, I'm looking for at least 6500 kW output. I have a 100 gallon propane tank on the property. However, I'm not committed to a propane generator because of that. Thoughts on brands or fuel types based on experience?
