  1. He should sue, if true. Blatant, no doubt name discrimination. No different from "He's got a last name of Abraamowitz. He *must* be Jewish." or "Mykell, he's obvious a black man, right?"
  2. I think this 2017 team will exceed expectations much to the chagrin of the tanking theorists and draft nerds, including our General Manager. You have a lot of guys - Alexander, Taylor, McDermott, Dareus, White, Hughes, Gaines, etc. who all have something to prove this year - and that desire provides a foundation for over-achievement.
  3. I voted no. The blue in the logo clashes with the blue on the helmet. The red stripe makes it look too Giantsy. A white stripe and facemask might improve it. It is absolutely astounding that the team will spend a lot of money on all these fancy uniform combos but be stubborn about giving the fans what they want - the 90s era uniforms and end zones.
  4. I'd argue that CB has actually improved. Gaines and White tackle players and are zone corners. Gilmore didn't like tackling at all and Darby couldn't play zone. You could say Gilmore/Darby are the more talented athletes but I offer that Gaines and White are the better football players.
  5. Terry Pegula isn't going to pay for a tank season and the NFL isn't going to encourage or help a tank season. It's not coming.
  6. I don't put AB's retirement on the front office. I think all players are both the steam hammer and John Henry in their careers. It's knowing when you're which. However, I think the front office made it easier on him when they traded for *another* slot receiver who happened to be younger, faster and in his prime.
  7. 10-6. Defense will perform better under McDermott. Bills have stashed picks. By cosmic rule, team will outperform expectations.
  8. You don't trade players who are two games into their professional career. If you hadn't worked your job in over a year, you'd be rusty and slow your first couple weeks too.
  9. Don't tell this to the tanking aficionados.
  10. Since we've loaded up on all these draft picks... ...we will easily, and I highlight easily make it to the playoffs. Hell, AFC Championship Game. We are all Bills fans. We all know how it works. Oh, and of course, college football will have several blue chip QBs that we will miss out on due to our lower than expected draft slot.
  11. Honest question here - I'm having a hard time figuring out how 1800s United States Confederacy and 1930s European Fascism have any relation to one another. Aren't they pretty much the opposite of one another? Is there any historical or legitimate connection whatsoever between the two?
  12. You're right. Plenty of players have had the problem and subsequent surgeries and seem to do ok. With Watkins and that particular foot, however, IMO it appears to be a chronic issue. Re-injuring it is inevitable. I think he dinged it in practice earlier this month and the front office saw the writing on the wall.
  13. I'll support the move by the Front Office albeit for a different reason. I think they know that the foot isn't right and won't be right.
  14. Ragland and Henderson aren't in "playing" shape. You need camp and real playing time to do that. It's why Shaq Lawson looks completely different from how he looked last year. I'd be patient with both men. They will improve with more playing time.
  15. Football reminds me a lot of cigarette smoking. Everyone did it and permitted it until the health concerns and dangers became part of the mainstream conversation.
  16. I agree that the issue is the floor gasket and the flange plate. If there is a leak, you won't necessarily see it as it's leaking into the floor. This requires immediate attention IMO. New toilet gets a new gasket, and preferably one of the new rubber ones. In a toilet install, it's crucial to seat the toilet slowly and carefully over this gasket.
  17. Lots of relatives in Texas and I'm a Spurs fan so I've seen a good bit. My recommendation is to visit Texas in the winter. December/January it's quite pleasant.
  18. The Bills and Patriots having identical records when they meet for the first time this upcoming season.
  19. He won't last the season in San Diego. Bad vibes already.
  20. It's better than the "Carolina Shag" station they have on presently. Although Yacht Rock and Carolina Shag aren't my favorites, I do like that Sirius XM puts together oddball stations like this to expand horizons.
  21. I'm convinced Gruden and Cowher will negotiate every contract for the rest of their lives with the "well, I could always go back to coaching you know...." Who was a successful coach that came back after a long hiatus? Dick Vermeil with the Rams? I can't think of anyone else.
  22. I have zero. I've worked for two employers where they were expressly prohibited. I agree that it seems everyone has them these days.
  23. Prostitution is the last frontier of "vice" that states can make legal, and therefore, tax. Given that several states, including PA, are in deep, deep trouble with pensions and budgets, I don't think the legalization of prostitution is a far-fetched idea.
  24. I don't think it's been mentioned but my vote is for: All British comedy. Benny Hill, Mr. Bean, the ladies from Absolutely Fabulous - never understood it's appeal.
  25. As I have gotten older, the more I've enjoyed listening to it. I've had more exposure to it due to things like Pandora, satellite radio and to a degree, movies. I started listening to Claude Debussy more after Ocean's 11 used "Clair de Lune" and started listening more to Beethoven due to John McTiernan's use of his work in his Die Hard films (1 and 3).
