I dont get your reference because I dont care about the new jersey devils however, while I dont think the Patriots will lose to either the bengals or the dolphins, its any given sunday in the NFL and I wouldnt at all be surprised. The Patriots offense sucks, crazy things happen. I can dream that the division dream isnt dead.

Im optimistic!! I just felt that we were gonna smash and dominate the broncos - first game all season I felt that way. And I just felt they were gonna do the same to the Cowboys. Thought we could hang with the Ravens but would lose a close one. So my nastradamus self will go ahead and say we take care of business Sunday night. Agreed. GET OPTIMISTIC!! We can play with any team in this league, and can win in a lot of ways. Cannot wait for the playoffs (especially on a three game winning streak).

Jets, Dallas, Denver....those are real defenses. Josh led us to wins against those defenses. Or are those not real enough? Gotta be one of the top 2 defenses (NE/Balt) who are some of the only defenses capable of running cover 0 against QBs to fit that narrative?

He was not good on the long ball last year, he just hit a couple so people remember those. This has been a career problem for him. Love the kid, think hes the franchise QB weve been waiting for, but that is an area he needs to somehow figure out.

Literally yesterday lol. Knox made a helluva one armed catch while being interfered with. Agreed our TEs didnt play well yesterday outside of that one catch by Knox, otherwise he had a particularly bad day.

Big drops by Bease and Knox altered the outcome of this game for sure (knox also got abused on the sake/fumble). Defense was lights out, contained the best offense in the league for much of the game. We were in this game, it stings, but they are the class of the NFL so it was an expected loss (gave us a 40% chance and seemed right). On to the Steelers, wrap ourselves up a playoff spot!

I understand your sentiment. But WHY on Earth would you want to sacrifice this win and have the AFC run through Baltimore when WE WIN THE GAME and then we control the AFC running through ORCHARD PARK!????

Im worried about Ingram/Edwards and the their entire inside rushing game...they are gonna get their yards, we gotta stuff the middle, which we have NOT been good at for two seasons now. HOPEFULLY we have fixed it (kind of) by scheme changes and adding Liuget, but we will find out sunday. We HAVE to gameplan to FIRST stop the middle rushes.

Jam the middle of the field with bodies who are holding their lanes/gaps, and then FORCE contain on Lamar with whoever you designate. Easier said than done, but thats whats gotta happen. Force TE/WR to outside releases to take away easy completions from slants. Easier said than done, but thats whats gotta happen. Force Lamar to throw to the outside instead of the middle of the field. Ravens are a great offense....gonna take a complete effort and some outstanding individual plays to hold them under 20.

The context is that this is just what McDermott preaches, dont get too high, dont get too low. Take each game as one of 16, in a vacuum if you will. Trust me though, these guys know that this is a huge game, but they are TRYING to just treat it as another game. The McDermott Process.

just jumping into this convo. Welcome. No doubt we have had an "easy schedule". We cant control that. We can only win the games we play. Its the NFL, any team can win on any given day. We have mostly taken care of business and good teams do that. Have you guys had a harder schedule, ABSOLUTELY! Have you dominated most of that schedule, ABSOLUTELY! I have been super impressed by the offensive rushing attack. Scheme is great and plays to Lamars strengths. More NFL coordinators could learn from playing to their players strengths like Roman does. With that said, I give us about a 40% chance of winning, which is about the highest I would give any NFL Team right now against you guys. Gotta play a complete game in all three phases to beat the Ravens right now. How we can win: win the turnover and field position battle. Force Lamar into what he doesnt do well in the passing game by taking away the short stuff, and the middle stuff. I haven't really seen Lamar throw to the hashes at all, so make him prove he can do that. Stuff the middle of the field in both the rush and pass game. Thats the best chance at success. Easy to say, DIFFICULT to do. But thats gotta be the game plan. Id say good luck sunday but I dont mean that at all haha.

This is EXACTLY what I have seen. He throws to the middle of the field really well, and usually guys are wide open. He hasn't shown a lot of deep balls, or most importantly, passes to the outside. Defense needs to scheme up a way to force those outside throws....jam the middle of the field with LBs and move the safeties up inside the hash to take away as many middle field throws as possible. Should be the focus on stopping the passing game. The run game is another issue, but hopefully those ideas go hand in hand. Crowd the box/the middle and dare Lamar to be able to beat you over the top. I don't know that he can. Their offense is plenty dangerous without having to do that though. Gotta force them into trying that if possible
