  1. I do agree that it makes you question the decision to keep Yeldon over Shady ($$$$ probably) or some other RB like Murphy. My guess is they like his pass catching ability (when all three RBs are healthy and active) and special teams ability. You can never fully prepare for injuries at EVERY position, and I think Beane has done a pretty damn great job with roster construction. So if this is our area of weakness during injury then so be it... Gore doesnt need to be kept fresh just because hes old, he needs to be kept fresh because hes the only true RB with Devin out.
  2. Nope, hate that. We are good enough to move the ball 30-40 yards to get into FG range. Thats loser mentality. (not you, from coach McD) And for whats its worth I think they were prepared to push the ball down the field but McKenzie screwed up and got the penalty, and then the first play screen didnt go anywhere so they just licked their wounds and left the field. Call the TO, go for a downfield pass and see what happens.
  3. MOST IMPORTANTLY, it will allow us to establish a run game early since we wont be concerned with keeping Frank the Tank fresh for the fourth quarter...cannot wait for that.
  4. Unless its going into halftime, then we just sit on our thumbs... Seriously. 45 seconds, one of the strongest arms in the league, a good kicker and 3 TOs and we decide to just go into halftime??? I don't care that we took a penalty to start that drive, its 5 yards, that shouldnt dictate or change the desire to go get a FG right before half....
  5. Devin Singletary. Once he is back, we will run the ball more earlier in the game, which will open everything up throughout the game. We wont have to show some pass plays that we have had to show early. Coaches wanna keep Frank fresh for the 2nd half, so we are going pass heavy to begin. With Devin back, we can spread the rock around and pound early.
  6. A couple of things: I think we see a kind of pass heavy opening so far this season because we only have one RB that the team trusts to tote the rock, and they don't want him to be worn out in the 4th quarter (which worked out GREAT today because a fresh Gore rammed the ball down their throat to seal the deal)...once we get Singletary back I think we will be a bit more "balanced" with pass to run ratio. (39 called pass plays to 27 rushes, six of those runs coming in the last 4 minutes). Cody Ford needs to figure out his footwork on speed rushes....he is getting ROASTED and its gonna get Josh Killed (already has), and the solution CAN'T be to give him Lee Smith as help because he has struggled in pass pro so far this season too. Once we establish the run early (when we have Singletary back after the bye) I think everything in the passing game will open, and our 3rd quarter woes will be easier to overcome. That HAS been the biggest concern so far in the early part of the season. GO FREAKIN BILLS!!!! 4-1 about to be 5-1 with a huge showdown with the Eagles at home. LETS F'ING GO!
  7. ewwwwwwwww, who is that horse looking thing?
  8. right, so two OTs active (Ford and Dawkins)....is also rare.... unless, as I suggested, they are confident that Ty can play, desipte not practicing all week (also rare) with, as you say, Bates is depth for the oline
  9. it would be very rare for a team to go into a game with the limited amount of active tackles they currently have too, wouldnt it? So, one of these things is gonna be rare, whether he plays or not (unless they for some reason put another tackle on the roster).
  10. so maybe they are confident Ty can go on Sunday, and have just been keeping him out of practice as a precaution?
  11. to me, Kit means what heroin addicts use to shoot up, thats pretty wordly
  12. if you mean what uni's they are wearing, blue on white
  13. if you have a running threat at QB though it still keeps it all in play
  14. this is not stated anywhere, in anything, that the NFL has made public...so unknown. I would guess it could happen immediately, but thats just my guess.
  15. it could be, it could also be he's not allowed to discuss anything at all about someone in the protocol under the NFL rules
  16. well technically WR2, Beasley is WR 3 due to him playing the slot...but yea, I agree. Need to continue to build to protect Josh
  17. bring your ponchos and have fun!
  18. I mean, I guess if running for 30 yards a game is a running threat, then sure? That's his highest total this year. For his career he averages around 20 yards per game. He isn't really a runner. He was in college so maybe thats what people remember about him? (I guess unless were comparing his mobility to that of Tom Brady lol, but the point is there are many QBs in this league who are more of a running threat than Mariota).
  19. Poyer and Hyde have also been given the freedom to "freelance" on certain plays given their own interpretation of what the offense is going to do, based on their film study. So if an offense is looking for tendencies from our safeties given certain looks, they arent seeing them because its a spur of the moment decision. Its been quite incredible actually. So these players themselves are due a lot of the credit as well as the coaching staff. It's hard to prepare for a defense that is quite literally changing pre play. (this is from Micah's and Leslie's own mouths for the record)
  20. I was aware of the inaccruacies when I wroted it
  21. oh grammar nazis, how clever, first time anyones every done that
  22. WHY IS THIS SO FRIGGIN HARD FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND???? ITS NOT LIKE ITS A GD HAMSTRING!!!! ITS EITHER YOUR CLEARED OR YOUR NOT!!!!!
  23. I am wondering if he has no symptoms tomorrow morning, can the team doc and independent neurologist assigned to the team clear him the same day? meaning he can practice tomorrow if cleared?
