  4. chan doesnt award contracts, that would be the Front Office
  5. when Williams was out I thought I saw a LOT more of Dareus at nose with carrington/edwards at DE...i dont mind that lineup as much as I mind Heard/Troup in at NT...
  6. congrats indeed! love self promoting threads!! thumbs up man! hope all is well and healthy...
  7. he would go a long way towards winning me over if he has a solid day against the eagles, and particularly Mike Vick....what scares me almost more than Vick is Shady McCoy....who do we have that can shadow him and make sure he doesnt catch 10 balls for 150 plus yards outta the backfield? especially with how crappy we have played against the screen game this season....THAT worries me to no end...
  8. he will probably be the 1st DB off the board...do we want to be that team/will we have the opp. to be that team?
  9. on a crazy IPA kick right now, trying to try them all...have already tried a lot in my years but am revisiting now....post your fave IPA (thats India Pale Ale) for those who are really newbs to the burr world.. Few of my Faves: - Dogfish Head 60 min IPA (and obviously their 120 min) - Stone IPA - Saranac IPA Please divulge!
  10. does anyone know for sure what an NFL official's yearly schedule actually consists of? And how much they are paid?
  11. pretty sure Ralphs lawyers already have all that outlined, its all already in the lawbooks, and Ralphie pays a good buck to have his estate planned Not to mention Al is just turning over control of the team to his son Mark I believe, so it will stay in the family, which Ralph has already said is NOT his plan, he will sell....
  12. we also passed on David Harris that year too (when we took Poz) I believe....that ole saying about hindsight though...oh well
  13. why hasent anyone said the obvious, maybe its not a new owner they are announcing (b/c like others mentioned, no way Ralph sells the team when hes alive), maybe they are announcing who the new owner(team of owners) WILL be when Ralph dies, like a succession plan....that makes more sense
  14. laught all you want at their slogan, but their hotdogs do honestly taste like they are from a higher authority
  15. ill take a Hebrew National with yellow mustard allllll day long...
  16. im just distracted by your avatar picture
  17. I always just thought it was b/c he is always trying to say the right thing at the right time?
  18. I start Sproles and hes a fantasy monster, PPR League, and he hasent finished with less than 18 points yet...
  19. vick may or may not be out, latest news is its only a contusion, not a fracture...id say he will probably play against us... Very tough tests coming up (after cincy, so we BEST take care of business)....the giants dont scare me though...we will have our wills tested though, hopefully our DBs can handle the weapons we will face
  20. 10 million dollars a year to Fitz is OUTRAGEOUS money and Buddy would need to be put down like an aged dog if he gave him that kind of money....when paying a player who will be a free agent/is a free agent, you dont offer him double what some other team would, you simply offer more...6 or 7 million (and thats pushing it to the top) would adequately get it done...if you think some other team is going to pay Fitz 10 mill a year, you sir, are out of your F'ing mind... and where was it reported Stevie and the bills are "miles apart" on contract talks...I havent even seen reports that they are talking...please link/explain
  21. riiiighttt, but patrick willis was an animal in college and dominated those boys, and was a first round pick because of it... Sheppard was pretty good in college, didnt dominate every game by any means, and was passed up by every team at least twice for reasons...lets keep it in perspective
  22. First off I have slowly come around to Fitzpatrick - yes I really was wishing Cam Newton somehow fell to us at number 3 (but im happy with Dareus). I truly think he will be special in this league. That said, I think Fitz is better than serviceable and has learned Chan's offense and can utilize most of his weapons at RB and WR...however, if he regresses and/or doesnt improve on last years numbers (including wins) and we are stuck drafting in the top 10 again...we most likely will need to address the QB situation in the draft...with that said, id love for Fitz to continue to figure it out and be able to be a stop gap QB for the next 5 years....if he fails and we fail, and we have to address the QB...a quick look at the potential top 10 QB's - I know were getting ahead of ourselves because they still have to play this season and alot can happen, and the Bills still need to play their season and alot can happen... Andrew Luck, Stanford 6'4, 235 - nothing really needs to be said about him, I think he could have potentially hurt himself as the number one pick by not coming out last season...if he has any type of struggles or even if one of the other QBs has an amazing year (or potential future HOF LT emerges), Luck COULD lose out as the number 1...but all signs point to Luck being the number one pick - unless someone like Carolina who just drafted their QB of the future is in the top spot again... Landry Jones, Oklahoma 6'4, 220 - improved in every category in 2010 from his already good 2009 numbers...prototype pocket passer, but with great pocket mobility...has obviously benefited from good offensive lines and continuity at a solid college FB program in the Sooners...seems to have good touch on all passes and great poise and confidence (filled in for injured Sam Bradford and did phenomenol as a freshman)...passing efficieny rating is great, TD numbers are great, and low interception numbers (14 as a fresh, 12 as a soph)...arm strength looks solid side note - mission trip to Haiti, he claims opened his eyes that theres more to life than football, seems really "heady" for a young college QB Matt Barkley, USC 6'2, 220 - similar to Jones, improved in every category in 2010...hasent been able to "light it up" for a full season yet from a yardage standpoint, but has also suffered from a program in serious transition (suspensions, NCAA sanctions and penalties, scholarship restrictions)...and hasent had all of the weapons at his disposal as Jones...certainly has one of the strongest arms in the college game and that has always been his strength, as long as he continues to improve his accuracy and efficiency he could easily push for top QB billing, a lot rides on this year for Barkley - and a average season could force him back to USC for another year Nick Foles, Arizona 6'5, 245 - also continues to improve...left Michigan St 3 years ago for sunny Arizona and an offense that should better suit his styles and comfort...biggest knock on him has been his over tendancy to check down too often, something he continued to do last season, but still looked to take chances, perhaps his check downs are because of lack of true play makers at the skill positions at Zona? He has a strong arm and everything pro scouts look for that translate to the next level. Threw for more yardage last year than in 2009 and completion percentage and rating both rose significantly. Probably wont crack the top 10 but could be someone available middle to late first round if Fitz is the problem but someohow the bills manage to win 8-10 games despite him (which is doubtful) Other Notables: Kirk Cousins, Michigan St 6'3, 205 (won starting gig after Foles bolted for Zona, keeps getting better but probably a 2nd rounder) Ryan Lindley, SD St 6'4, 215 (very pro ready, pro style offense, great TD to INT ratio entire career, and his efficiency, completion percentage, rating and yardages have gone up every year, a strong year this year and he could be in first round discussion)
  23. hes always been rather weak against the run...as far as plugging holes is concerned, many of his tackles were exactly like Poz's tackles...I almost think of him as a slower, older Poz? With that said, we should still sign him, hes better than Torbor and Davis...its so crazy to me that we are OK with those two as starters (and maybe sheppard if he ever comes to play)
