  1. short passing game is built for all weather at the ralph...you can throw 5 yards ins and outs in the rain...
  2. again, Revis will be in one side of the field, not mirroring Stevie...see how the Jets play D against the Patriots, thats the D they will use
  3. Ive said it before and ill say it again, because of our offense and because of how Rexy has played Revis against similar style spread offenses (like the Patriots), Revis will most likely NOT just be locked onto Stevie all game, they will put Revis on an island on whichever side of the field they choose to lock down that entire side, and worry about the other 2/3rds of the field...Stevie will still get his catches, as will all our other WRs... against teams with one stud WR (Andre Johnson/Calvin Johnson/Fitzgerald) then they match Revis up 1 on 1 all game and take away their best player...on a team that runs an open offense that doesnt channel/live and die through one player (like us), they will take away one side of the field by using Revis like that and to answer the OP, YES, Revis is that good (and its good coaching/scheme as well) I would be SHOCKED if they give Stevie that much respect to "waste" Revis on just him considering the Bills propensity to spread the love
  4. with our "spread the ball around" mentality on offense, Revis will not be matched on any one WR, instead he will take a side of the field and shut it down, its what hes done against the patriots in the past (and the steelers sunday, but the steelers did a great job of playing despite him)- so, on offense we do what we have been doing to every team, spread the ball around and hit the open man, and pound the rock with Freddie - key to the game will be Wood on Paea (sp?) hes a mountain of a man and if we can move him consistently when hes in the game, we can bang the rock all day...the Jets CAN be run on and must be to win this game (also as others mentioned, screens and draws are a must to nullify any pass rush) On defense, same as the skins' plan...stuff the run (skins are a better rushing team) and beat your 1 on 1 matchups along the front, and mix in some blitzes to force turnovers...
  5. I dont think franchising Stevie is the worst option if a deal cant be done....if he wants to be paid like top 10 WR and we dont think he deserves it for a full contract, let him play one year under the top money and see if he produces like it...if you extend out his numbers from our first half of the season he finishes with rougly 75 catches, 900 yards and 8 TDs, thats NOT worth a contract of 5 years/50 million...so if thats what he wants, franchise him and see if he improves those numbers and if he doesnt, then he (and the leauge) will see he isnt worth top 10 money perfect situation for a franchise tag actually
  6. I actually think you have had a better year than bruuuuuuceeeeee, not career though, sorry...thats a different story
  7. this is what Corey does EVERY WEEK on special teams....he is an absolute beast...why do we not play him at linebacker? especially in goal line/short yardage situations? he better at least be a reserve linebacker for us haha, man can he tackle/hit... hes a special teams monster at the very least and needs to be a bill for the rest of his career
  8. while Im generally pessimistic and think thats crazy to say (because being a life long bills fan does that to you), I think you could be right...weve had an incredibly difficult schedule, dominated some teams, came from behind against some teams, held on to leads against some teams, and lost to two playoff-hunt teams...offense ranks as one of best units in league in almost every category and the defense MIGHT be putting it together If we beat the Jets and Boys' I think this discussion you have started here becomes a national topic/story (for better or worse)
  9. While I do tend to agree with you about putting Dareus at NT, or DT, that doesnt necessary "get the best 11 on the field"...considering our weakness is OLB, not ILB...playing both Barnett and Shepp puts our best LBs out there...I would be pleased to see 4-3 like we have been seeing, and when we do go 3-4, play Dareus at NT and put Kyle at DE, because he is more of a "freestyler" than a gap controller anyway I dont think it necessary matters who starts where or what defense we first put on the field, it was evident yesterday that the defense was firing on all cylinders, regardless if it was from the 3-4, 4-3, nickel base, etc. They players were beating their 1 on 1 match ups. and thats what needs to happen week in and week out...
  10. this O-line group is just golden....regardless of who plays where/what injuries happen...they just get it done
  11. get to remote location, weapons, high walls, fortified compound....survive ANY end of the world scenario...
  12. and I guess I kind of take a little of it back, Rush - Rush has some great tunes and its own sound, but then for some reason I feel like they go to synthetic and thats the Rush that all sounds the same to me...but the first album, Rush, is kind of heavy metal/bluesy and I enjoy that...
  13. they showed his achilles? wow...was it an MRI, xray? does it look OK? hopefully a bit strained at the least, but ruptured would be nice
  14. i truly dont understand how anyone can be a fan of Rush...every song sounds the same (and lame), no veriations to the same bland prog-rock...its a dammm shame that one of the best bassists ever wasted his career in such a sh*tty band....but rock on Rushheads
  15. agreed 100 percent, have hated on Kelsay (and rightfully so) for the previous years of his career...because he was very underwhelming...however, last year he played well after he adjusted to life in the 3-4 and earlier this season prior to the injury he really was pretty solid at generating pressure and setting the edge...i think his return will be a help for sure
  16. great slate of games? not if you live in buffalo and have to watch the Dolphins/Giants for the 1 oclock game...if only the pats/steelers played in that 1 oclock slot.....oh well, if wishes were horses...
  17. not that im doubting you, but I am haha..do you have links for this information about paying income tax in each state they play games in???
  18. the "Answer" as hes referred to by Tony Soprano and his merry medley of mobsters
  19. sure she wasent just escaping to sign that lucrative Playboy deal? when Heff calls, you come-a runninnnn...
  20. Personally i love the Lions attitude, care for your teamates and F the world, from the coach on down..thats how a team should be Say what you want about Schwartz, but hes always got his players backs, runs a tight ship, hired the right coordinators and is instilling a completely different mentality in an organization that is accustomed to losing....punch the other guys in the face, and sometimes he means that literally Say what you want about Suh and his cheap shots, he plays the game angry and id DEF rather have him on my team than on the opponents team, nightmare to game plan for, and even when you do, he blows it apart and wears you down... And on offense the team is just explosive, and Calvin Johnson is plain uncoverable this year... You can all hate on the Lions all you want, but they are playing good football right now and changing a culture that has been stagnant and poor for too long...."gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelete" PS - if this were our bills doing the same things and posting that record, none of you would say the "Schtick" is getting old (and is it really a "schtick" if they really, truly are just a bunch of tough guys?)
  21. THIS great writer, great book, AMAZING directors, and very well executed acting across the board = success AND - to whoever said the Road was great book but didnt translate well to the screen...I think thats kind of an odd statement considering the book and movie were exactly alike (aside from the few scenes taken out of the movie by producers/editors because it was "too graphic" for general audience, EX: the baby being on the spitt over the fire at the canibals house) Otherwise I think the movie was very good at depicting the harsh post-apocolyptic world, as well as the close bond between father and son..what exactly were you not a fan of in the movie?
  22. I know its not a movie, but Breaking Bad (television show) has an amazing score, and I know the same guy has done them all (and this is def. his first real shot)...cant remember his name and too lazy to open another int. browswer to look...but the guy is good and hopefully gets a crack at some big time movies
