  1. i find it interesting that he voluntarily left a job as a d-cordinator to take a d-line job at green bay....
  2. FINALLY my boy Manuel is gettin some love from TBD - I was on an island for a long time....guess we just needed to talk "Parcells" and people start coming around haha... for real, im not saying Manuel is gauranteed to light the world on fire from jumpstreet....I just think he has all of the tools, has done it week in and week out against the best competition in college ball, and can still grow in mechanics (which arent bad) and accurarcy (which isnt bad) with the right coach/offensive scheme...he seems to be "the best of the bunch" and im willing to take a gamble on him - especially in round two....
  3. what do you guys use for cleaner and then lubricant? just curious...thinkin bout switching brands and wondering what my fellow TBDers use....
  4. the wire is the best show ever created BB is in the top 3-5 fo sho
  5. already been reported he received permission, no?
  6. came in to say this....you beat me, you win...im not worthy has he for SURE said hes going back to Bama? Maybe he wants to three-peat - and I wouldnt doubt they will have you seen a picture of his uber-gay chest tattoo though? it makes me question his mental accumen
  7. creative coaches please! coaches with experience, and coaches who will adapt to fit the roster the only thing I care about is NO MORE forcing square pegs to fit circular holes!
  8. ahhhhhh, college football section....where good posts go to die
  9. cool, yea the last dinner plans came down to ACME or Red Fish - so we will plan for ACME and then Red Fish if weather is bad or wait is beyond terrible we booked a city trip/katrina trip with Celebration Tours instead of doing a swamp tour (winter) - so hopefully that will let us view a little more of the city than what we will accomplish walking around FQ and uptown... Thanks again for all your help in helping us plan our trip...ill def let ya know how it turns out! looking forward to the Big Easy
  10. some have never had oysters so want to try them there...but apparently the grilled oysters are unique to ACME or something? (im personally not into oysters at all - i will be eating my fill of shrimp) - but if you say its worth the wait, then ill back off trying to talk them out of it.......and about the wait, if we go at peak hours and the waits long, I can go get a hand grenade (the drink) or hurricane and bring it while I wait, correct? that actually sounds like quite the plan
  11. question for NoSaint (and anyone else in New Orleans or who has a suggestion) my group really wants a fresh seafood rest. night (I told them, its all fresh seafood) - but they particularly want oysters...they seem to be set on ACME Oyster Bar...my question, is it worth the long wait? we are going for dinner one of the nights, so it will be packed (probably sunday night) - is there another, better oyster place option that I can sway them too rather than ACME?
  12. thought I would dig this bad boy up for all of us Irish fans... historic night tonight, im feeling pretty nervous right now.....even though we have had a hell of a season, I still hear a lot of people claiming ND isnt for real, and "wait till they play Bama" - well heres the chance LETS GO ND!!!
  13. wellll, this was supposed to be a good game
  14. not a good start by seattle's much loved defense
  15. YESSSS, I have prevailed : ) (suck it 26cornerblitz)
  16. really cool that they put Lewis on the field for last kneel down....classy move Harbaugh
  17. this thread should be merged with mine, with mine taking the lead as it was posted one minute before this copy cat abomination : )
  18. the battle of the athletic rookies QBs - and two over achieving defenses!!! should be a good game!
  19. His D-coordinator at SU was Scott Shafer....not saying he will come along with Dougie Fresh (he may be offered the head job at SU or somewhere else) but I dont think he would be a bad choice at all - was the d-cord at Stanford under Harbaugh, Harbaugh said he was "one of the most creative defensive minds in football" - of course his friend would talk him up, however, Stanford had a top 10 D in the country under Shafer - d-cord at SU, brought them from in the 120's in total defense to a top 20 unit... his self described defensive style is: "Scheme is overrated, I've always believed that. What's not overrated is getting your kids to play with great effort, great attitude and great enthusiasm. Those are things we can control on a daily basis, and that will be my primary goal. . . . The philosophy of our defense is attack-oriented, attack and react. We want to be a defense this is multiple, that is always putting pressure and forcing the hand of the offense. We want to be a penetrating defense. If you're going to (ask) what our objectives are? The one thing we want to do is stop the run, force them to throw the ball on first down, create negative plays on first down . . . and get ourselves in position to force them to throw the ball. Get them one-dimensional. We don't want to be a defense that sits back. We want to be a defense that creates turnovers and scores touchdowns" It does look as if he fits the mold of "balls so big they scrape the ground when he walks
  20. I thought it was amusing
  21. hahaha, OK....the facts: Lewis's white suit worn the night of the murders was never found, witnesses described said man in a white suit with a knife.......Lewis and his two buddies were put on trial for the murders, Lewis copped a deal to testify against his two buddies in exchange for immunity (probably told his buddies he would "take care of them" monetarily), then all the witnesses stop talking/cant remember anything....Lewis pays the victims families an unspecified amount of money to settle out of court in civil suit.....where theres smoke, theres fire baby.... but you can keep living in a fantasy world where the baddest man on earth didnt get away with stabbing two people
  22. lol @ trestman love....dude didnt coach football, he coached canadian football I do agree about "exhaustive search" being the wrong term, however....perhaps intentions were an exhaustive search, they interviewed Marrone and thought "jesus, this IS the guy, no doubt about it" and signed him.....he was being interviewed by other clubs
  23. i LOVE ray lewis - fave football player of all time, sad day that this is his last NFL game with that said.....he still killed people with a knife, and I dont care
