hahahahaha, excellent...
-
correct, and thats what buff news has been reporting since 820 this morning....and its a ONE TIME get outta jail free card at the 7 year mark, if they dont leave then, they have to fulfill final years on lease....
-
why arent you people referring to the BUFFALO NEWS article rather than some hack AM station??
-
thats the way I read it as well, at the 7 year mark, they can opt out, or fulfull the remaining 3 years... any way ya slice it...im happy (but I guess that means Im stuck with the Bills for a while haha) lol, shut up
-
of course bills fans would be crying about this 7 year clause....so think of it like a 7 year lease instead of a 10 year lease, any way you slice it, gauranteed (unless some rich owner wants to give NYS 400 mill) Bills in buffalo for 7 more seasons - and way more than likely, for the long term....nice job bills and NYS - not to mention NY taxpayers only foot 95 million of the total bill....im liking it

If Nix is able to resign Byrd and Levitre???
PaattMaann replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no it isnt....unless I am totally clueless, I thought - starting this upcoming offseason/season - teams HAD to spend their cap money to at least a certain point (that would obviously be over what we normally allow ourselves to spend) ? And we have spent money the past two off seasons....im not worried about us spending money to keep Byrd and Levitre, i think it comes down to if THEY want to stay here (and honestly, I think Byrd will be gone - in two years since we will franchise him, and Levitre will long-term deal it up with us, he LOVES buffalo) -
Eric Wood: "Toronto series is a joke"
PaattMaann replied to 5 Wide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
eric woods fragileness is a joke (is fragileness a word?) reallly, I love eric wood, think he is an AWESOME lineman, just wish he had Levitre's body/stamina/whateveritisthatmakeshimnotgethurt im sure the toronto series does suck for the players....but it makes the team money and helps keep them in Buffalo...so we just live with it.... -
ideally.....when we draft at number 5 overall, id like us to snag Te'o...then trade back into the first round (as buddy has recently said, there comes a time as a franchise when you need to trade up to grab your guy") and take a chance at grabbing our "franchise guy"....

the fact is, the bills make a lot of money off of selling those games to Toronto....it is a terrible product on the field? yes (but it is when its played in Buffalo anyway). do the Toronto fans suck? yes. But if they want to keep giving money to the bills (and living with terrible attendance and poor NFL games), who cares? bills are making money and staying in buffalo the REAL problem with this team is poor coaching and QB play.....focus on fixing those, not crying because the Bills are trying to survive in a depressed economy in a small (poor) city... -

ok, where is your info that they DONT try to sell advertising and luxury boxes to Toronto businesses?? it would seem incredibly stupid to EXCLUDE ANY business from trying to buy luxury boxes why would a Toronto business want to buy luxury seats for a sport they/their clients dont care about, and why would that same company want to advertise to Americans who would never be around their business in order to use their services/products? I have a feeling THATS why those things dont happen, not that Russ Brandon (the evil devil man - who actually does a very good job at making this terrible team money) is actively trying NOT to do those things but def. instead of having a reasonable argument, just resort to "name calling" like russ brandons mom...classy -

you dont think they have attempted to SELL luxury boxes to toronto business? you dont think they try to SELL advertising to toronto businesses? lol.... maybe im in the minority, but im FINE with "giving" away a home game to Toronto every year if it keeps generating revenue to the Bills and allows them to stay in Buffalo (even though at this point id be glad if they move to LA/London) - its expanding the Bills market/reach - the same thing they are doing by holding training camps in Rochester, expanding the brand to try and generate as much revenue as possible so the Bills can remain viable in a small city market like Buffalo....its playing one game on a neutral playing field instead of a home game....whats the big deal if its whats keeping the Bills economically viable and in Buffalo full time? Personally I think Brandon is a master at marketing and making money for this team....thank god hes not running the football side of the operation anymore, but as far as the business side....hes solid in my opinion (the ownership needs to be decided, unfortuantely meaning Ralph has to die, before any real "change" happens at OBD) -
thanks for the link, ill have to keep checking back because he is currently out of stock I live in Buffalo

Nirvana back together with new singer!
PaattMaann replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in Off the Wall Archives
agree mostly about most acts being terrible Clapton is still a god, and his three song set was great, especially the acoustic blues number he did in the beginning Keys has a great voice, but I too hated the addition of put your cell phones in the air if you hate drunk uncle you should just kill yourself -
Marcus Easley should be evaluated
PaattMaann replied to Donald Duck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Easley was evaluated, his medical issues are no longer a problem -
J.J. Watt/terrific player and better person
PaattMaann replied to JohnC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we should have drafted watt #3 with his 11.5 career college sacks but for realsies, love hearing great stories about pro-athletes rather than the negative ones....the ole "a few rotten apples..." thing is very true -
I wish that I could

Rush inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame!
PaattMaann replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in Off the Wall Archives
actually really like 2112 (well, side one, side two - meh, not so much) - kinda like the whole "concept album" aspect of it... havent listened to "new rush" - I would be more interested in it if its not all synthesized garbage, as you say it is.. but ill stick to my main point, which was the rush bores me (2112, side one, aside) and ill take a major pass -
well this is certainly a mixed bag of reviews...for the last two posters...thanks for the in depth review of why you disliked/liked respectively...lol

couldnt agree more about voice....makes me want to puke all over however, calling Geddy Lee a "decent" bass player is a joke haha....hes an outstanding bass player, and to disagree with that is...well....there IS no disagreeing with that id put all of those bands in the "bores me" category as well, sans the Stones listen to Sticky Fingers, Exile and Tattoo You and tell me those are all the same albums lol (and actually I was referring to the general song writing progression and sound that Rush spews being all the same - all synthesized ****) -
Any interest in Josh Gordon in Supplemental Draft
PaattMaann replied to Smiley Dear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hahahahha, what use would Gordon be on our team??? so he could run deep and have Fitz throw a 4 yard out (that would be inaccurately placed and hit the turf)? Gordon would need a QB who can throw the ball downfield, we aint got one of those... -

PaattMaann replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in Off the Wall Archives
put me on board with the "Rush bores me" crowd....its the same **** over and over and over again....too bad an amazing bassist wasted his entire career in this band...he could have done some amazing **** with a real band to the poster wondering about the rock and roll hall of fame....GO...if you like music, GO! I went this past fall when we went to Cleveland for the bills game, spent the weekend in the city, first thing we did was RnR HOF....spent three hours there, could have/should have spent double that...it was Grateful Dead exhibit on top two floors (always changes) and I could have spent two alone up there, just great artifacts in general....cool seeing the clothes (and how incredibly small some of these people were) - best part is set lists/hand written song lyrics....
