  1. LoLoL. Exactly. Can't miss what we never had. Would have been nice if he could play, but this isn't that big a deal. At least it happened now and not down the line. And for all we know it's not a serious injury anyway. Chillax.
  2. Nelson and Parrish usually operate out of the slot in four WR sets with Johnson and Evans on the outside. Nelson always seems to make a play. He's fine in the slot. That height is a matchup nightmare.
  3. Then they should take him if a Franchise QB is not available. McGee is going to be a nickel corner soon with the way his health has been. Corner is a nickel. Florence's contract is up. They need a starter there soon or one to groom as a starter. Wouldn't be a bad pick. Especially if it's Peterson from LSU. Have you seen him play much? Elite athlete and good defender. Aggressive in run support and can cover.
  4. For everything you just said the Bills could have won that game and the last three. They do need to run more. But Fitz has a knack for making great plays, but then killing the team with a crucial mistake at the worst time. Yesterday they could not run the rock though. They had to throw. Oline has to run block infinitely better than they did yesterday.
  5. No they don't. He is not the QB of the future and once the Bills draft one and Fitz in number two he probably won't even be on the roster.
  6. Two years in really. Last year he missed all but a game and a half. Let things play out. DB's get beat. All of them. Players have bad plays and bad games. All of them. McKelvin will be fine.
  7. That's their job to ask him questions. If they didn't ask him about his lack of productivity the past few seasons they should not be reporters. Their job is to get information not make friends. That's why a lot of journalism is bad today. Everybody wants to be in the spotlight and be friends with the people they cover. No reason to feel embarrassed. Different reporters. Different news outlets. They will each ask the question because you never know, a guy might give a different answer or offer a different insight than he did to the guy/lady that asked previously. Like when you were a kid your mother might ask you why you were late getting home; you answer then she asks you the same question in a different way, see if you slip up... Not a big deal.
  8. Why do some of you get upset about something that has not happened? The guy can say what they want to do. It does not mean it will happen. Why do some others of you assume the Bills will A.) move. B.) have to play multiple games in Canada to stay in the region C.) There is nobody who can buy the team and keep them in the area. Bills could have moved years ago multiple different times. Mr. Wilson wasn't interested. You truly think a businessman has no plan for his business once he passes on? Really? Because we don't know what it is does not mean it doesn't exist. I would bet there is a plan and I would bet most people will be happy with that plan when all is said and done. Bills aren't going anywhere. You'd do better to concern yourselves with getting the local politicians to keep working on that waterfront development.
  9. Most people who answer the question will have no experience with Buffalo and never would have set foot in WNY. They will be going off what they "heard" which is usually inaccurate or greatly exaggerated. Somebody once told me it snowed in Buffalo in July. They didn't know I was from WNY and they were SERIOUS... Buffalo could be a diamond if the state and local gov't actually got their .... together. As it is it's still a has a lot to like.
  10. The food is better? No way. I'm from WNY originally, grew up in DC and now I live out west. Food is NOT better unless you want to eat Mexican food everyday. The other things, as I said earlier need not be compared. Of course San Diego weather will be different because it's in a different regional climate. It doesn't make Diego a better place. Just different. Economics better? You do realize unemployment in Cali is around 12 % officially right? Which makes it probably more like over 15 %. And you do realize the state of California is broke right? Broke! And that includes Diego. No jobs, no jobs, no jobs, no jobs. The scenery is beautiful in Diego. Buffalo has different architecture, weather, nature than you find on the west coast. Buffalo has it's beautiful scenery too in the city and in the outer regions if you care to recognize it. It's not a nicer place to live. Just a different place. Just like Florida would be a different place or Montana would be different place or Washington state would be a different place. One man's chicken is another man's steak. Because one thinks of San Diego as a steak doesn't make that the case for everybody else. The question is why do those who view Diego as a steak need to convince everyone else that it should be a steak for them too?
  11. This is the problem. Analysis like yours. Sand Diego is a great place. There is no reason to compare the two cities. Buffalo has great things in and of itself. Just like any other city has great things about it centered around the culture of the specific region.
  12. Oh really? Please give us a list. The most recent example I can think of was Green Bay a couple seasons ago and they STRUGGLED mightily. Then last year they got Matthews and lo and behold. Players make the difference and if you don't have the players it doesn't matter what the coach calls. Aaron Kampman LEFT BECAUSE HE DID NOT FIT THE SYSTEM and was struggling with the 3-4. They got Raji in the draft that year and he Struggled too. He's just now starting to play well for them. Matthews being drafted last season made the biggest difference. He's a guy who fit what they wanted to do and he's an impact player. It's not brain surgery. Impact players rule. Bills don't have that on their defense. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d80ea8c1d&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true
  13. Because you aren't paying attention. Mathews is STRUGGLING in San Diego. And that was B4 he got injured. How come Bills fans all of a sudden don't like ANY draft pick?
  14. Yeah Nix is on the road looking at QB's sure. But don't think he's not also looking at other players as well. He is. That's what they do. Bills are also looking for defensive playmakers. A team can win with Fitz if they have a dominant defense. If not then he's good enough to lose more than they win. I don't think Fitz is a franchise QB; I think he is a good QB with talent and heart who can win his share under the right circumstances. But he needs a dominant defense because he is good for a few bad throws every game. Need a defense who can make up for those mistakes by not giving up points. Clayborne will probably be an OLB when all is said and done. Just what the Bills need.
  15. Think about it this way. A team can't trade down just because they want to. They need a partner and a player who the other team believes is worth giving up the bounty they would have to give up to get the Bills spot. The Bills spot looks like it will be in the top 5. If the Bills don't think there is a player available at that spot at either of those two positions who they are confident in there's a good chance other teams might feel the same way. Which makes trading down near impossible. Personally, I think it would be good for them to trade down even if Luck and Locker are there and they look good in workouts. The Bills have too many holes to fill to have one pick per round. A team probably would trade up to get one of those guys if they perform well leading up to the draft. In that scenario the Bills could probably get several picks/young players to rebuild with and that would be a good thing if people are serious about seeing them rebuild more quickly. Get that extra 2nd & 3rd this year, a couple picks next year and a young player with upside. A QB alone won't do it. This draft could be very deep with good QB prospects and some might be available in the 12- 20 range for the Bills to pick. As far as DB I understand why you say that, but don't rule it out and don't forget this: McGee is turning 30 soon. He will be the nickel back. Florence will be over 30. Youboty and Corner are nickel backs, not starters. The only young DB with star athleticism and potential is McKelvin. He will need a running mate on the other side sooner than later. That's just the way it is. If they draft a Patrick Peterson or Prince Amukamara that wouldn't be a bad thing. Both of those guys are over 6 feet and solidly built with great speed. You wouldn't want that in the Bills secondary? BPA with a history of production is Nix' draft strategy. It could happen.
  16. I'm a Bullets fan. Emailed Ted Leonsis back in June when he officially took over the team with some things I wanted to see change about the organization. Lo and behold a couple weeks later I have an email in my inbox from Ted addressing my suggestions. Yes, he is a breath of fresh air.
  17. This is a large part of it. That and consumerism. People in this country have gotten into an immediate gratification syndrome that gets worse and worse everyday. Nothing wrong with wanting or getting things. But that doesn't mean they can be gotten overnight.
  18. A has been at age 26? If he's healthy he is worth a shot. He'd be the best OLB on the team by far.
  19. I don't understand how that makes sense. Cut Edwards. Traded Lynch. Cut Meredith. Picked up Urbik and Wrotto. Nix sees what's going on. Don't just tell us there are always options. Tell us specifically what options since you know there are so many out there. What should they trade for? Who should they trade or trade for? Options just for the sake of options do the Bills no good. They don't have much to trade that's worth anything. A team makes a trade when it makes sense to make a trade. Not just to show the fans something is going on. Trades can be made in the off-season too. They are rebuilding. It will take time. Accept it. Moves for a rebuilding team can come at any point in time not just before a tread deadline. Lee Evans is their best asset at this point. He can be traded in the off-season for picks as well as now. So why trade him now? McKelvin would get the Bills something. Should they trade him? No. Kyle Williams and Jairus Byrd might get you something, maybe even Whitner. Trade them? I doubt it. They have to have someone to line up on Sundays.
  20. Austin won't be available at pick three unless the Bills get a couple extra first or second rounder and take him in one of those two rounds. Ponder might be a first rounder depending on his workouts. Cameron Heyward is seen as a very good tackle, but in what system? He's not a NT so he would have to play DE for the Bills. Does he have DE potential? Also keep in mind that DE take a while to "get it." so you might not see a quick return on that investment. Better to get an MLB/OLB with that pick if possible. But I like the way you're thinking.
  21. Sharron Angle is a better option? Maybe you should try a 3rd party candidate.
