  1. The O-line was fine the other day. Especially in run blocking. Nothing much to speak of for an O-line after a game is a good thing. No sacks and all the backs were able to get yards.
  2. Dude you don't even know what the defense was or what his responsibilities were on the play. Could have been his guy then again maybe not. Unless you called the defense you don't know. As a safety his main job is to not let anyone get behind him and to make the tackle. He did both on that play. Could have been a LB was supposed to be in that zone.
  3. Probably because he catches all types of venom for what he says about the Bills because it is never what we want to hear. Then they play and unfortunately we can't say he's wrong. Like he said, we'll see what type of team we have. Hopefully they will be at least decent.
  4. That's all they should do in the pre-season. No reason to show your offense before the season. That being said it's not about the plays it's about the execution and they can't execute. They look embarrassing.
  5. You are just sad in general. Go be miserable by yourself. LoL
  6. Who said he has no speed? He's fast enough or he wouldn't be on the field. He doesn't need to be a track star to play at high level. Art Monk, Steve Largent, Fred Biletnikoff, Michael Irvin all in the HOF; Cris Carter will be. Guess what? None of them were considered burners either. Yet they all got open and often times deep too. Go back and study the game. Hope it works out!!!
  7. I wouldn't say there's not a lot of talent. They have talent. They are just unproven.
  8. They will pay him one way or the other. Watch and see.
  9. You are right, you're employers would have found someone else because I am assuming you work in a field outside of professonial athletics. It is a different industry and we can't compare our situations to their situations. It's different. Revis isn't throwing a tantrum. He's using his right to hold out for what he believes he is worth; no crime in that. He will get it or the owner will keep it. Everybody loves to get mad at the players, but the owners are making billions of dollars.
  10. You don't know that they will need an OT or OG next season. What if players you think are terrible actually take the next step and play well? But we need help at OLB or DE? Let the season play out before you start drafting for 2011. If OL are needed they can get them through Free Agency as well.
  11. Really? And he was going to start over Wood or Levitre? So basically with the nine pick you wanted Nix to take a player who would be a back up O-lineman and would have no impact on the game at all? I don't understand how that makes sense. Spiller will play; he will line up at receiver, he will return kicks, he will get carries. Even if he's not starting he can make an impact on the game. A back up OG won't unless there's a serious injury.
  12. The Skins did what they do. Got big names, but ones with a clock running on them. Their young receivers still have not stepped up. Signed LJ and Parker, but they are older and have been banged up like Portis. Is Brown over his injury? They could go either way.
  13. Every team will lose games this season. I'm glad you know so much. What's the lotto number?
  14. Or if the new management engages talents of the workers there that were not tapped into before they can also get better production and overall results. Leadership matters.
  15. I think that's crazy. There are no guarantees. Jim Kelly was what the 14th pick. Dan Marino was 27 I believe. And neither one of those were top 10 picks. Tim Couch was. Ryan Leaf was. Jamarcus Russell was. I could go on, but you should get the point. LOSING is no remedy. Win and win as much as possible.
  16. Luckily for us last season is over and they're starting a new one. We shall see what they do. First live action is next week.
  17. He's a straight fool. I don't believe he played a down of anything to make the statement he did. Losing is NEVER a remedy for a competitor. What if they lose games and their "franchise" QB turns out to be Ryan Leaf? Or Tim Couch? Or Jamarcus Russell. I'm tired of all these media folks and "fans" talking slick. The games are played in September and the results have yet to be determined. I expect the Bills to win just like I do every year, and damn it, everybody in that organization better be expecting the same thing. On paper they don't have the talent of other teams in the division, but the game is played on the field and there are plenty of young players with an opportunity to make their name. That's what I expect to happen and that can lead to wins.
  18. The perspective is that a so called sports talk show should be talking about sports more than they talk about various "drafts." The local teams should be a topic of conversation as well as national sports stories. It seems from what I read that these guys talk very little sports and very little about local sports outside of the Sabres. That's poor. They need to get some real sports hosts in those jobs.
  19. How did they waste his time? They don't owe him anything. They practice tonight. If he wants to see it he can stick around or keep it movin'.
  20. McCoy doesn't have that strong an arm. Folks here complain about Trent's arm and he has a stronger one than McCoy. And teams passed on Clausen A LOT. No sure things at QB this year. I'm glad they focused on the lines and players who have big play ability. It also tells you that they feel they can better coach the talent that is already here in comparison to the previous regime.
  21. From what you've read. Then you haven't read accounts of him getting in the backfield consistently, huh? I guess that doesn't fit what you choose to want to believe. The hit on Jackson was not all that cheap either. Watch the video. The whistle had not even blown yet. And what has he said that has you convinced he thinks he's an all pro? Only thing I've read is him talking about needing to work hard, having to step up and play better, etc. You Maybin haters still have your tampons in a bunch because he held out and had a non-existent impact on last season. Fine. I understand that. But all this he talks too much or acts a certain way, blah, blah is straight Bull.
  22. 80 players and two get hurt (not including people coming back from injuries and not practicing) and you are worried? Those are great odds. They are not even considered season ending injuries. So calm down. Every team is having players get hurt and miss time. It's a physical game and these guys haven't played contact football for six months. Notice how early in camp the injuries occurred? Their bodies will get used to the contact and when the season starts they will be better prepared for the nature of the game. Consistent contact now is a VERY GOOD THING.
  23. The greatest player in your opinion. He had plenty of help. They had good squads in the 60's and the early 80's as well. During Kelly's time he had benefit of the best assortment of talent the team ever had at one time. No Andre Reed, No Thurman, No Lofton, No Bruce, No Biscuit, No Odomes, No Talley, No Tasker, No Hull, Ballard, Wolford, Ritcher, Davis, Parker, Metzelaars, McKeller, Christie, Norwood, Marv Levy and many others, no Super Bowls. It wasn't all Jim and it never is just one player. It's a team game. Kelly was great, but he wasn't the only reason they went to Super Bowls. Bradshaw was great too, but how great without two Hall of Fame receivers, a Hall of Fame RB, Hall of Fame Center and that defense? Not to mention Chuck Knoll.
  24. You make a whole lot of assumptions based on one year of football. That's not even an intelligent way to judge any player. I'm glad you think he will be a bust. Now go have a seat somewhere and think up something else to post about. This is past old.
