  1. Everybody is saying LT, but I would rather the Bills go defense in round 1 and 2. The best medicine for the Jets, Patriots and Dolphins offense is a badass defense.
  2. Naaman Roosevelt. Don't need Gerhart. Jackson and Lynch are good. Gerhart is too similar to them. That's why Gailey said he would like a scat back because they don't have that type of RB. Sub Gerhart for McCluster or someone of that type. Any LT? Be careful what you wish for. Any LT might not be better than Bell. Get the right LT and if he's not there draft a better player at another position of need who can play right away. No need to draft a LT that has to develop. We already have Bell and Meredith for that.
  3. You and your wife are in my prayers, my friend. Hang tough. Things will turn around for the better.
  4. True. L.A. can do without football very easily. And Qualcomm is a dump! Chargers could very well move.
  5. He's not slow at all. He's a good player. That being said don't get rid of Lynch and take Gerhart. If you get rid of Lynch you take Spiller or get McCluster.
  6. What weakness did you see in McClain? I didn't see much when I watched him play. Runs the defense well, gets to the ball, tackles well...
  7. McGahee and Lynch don't have nearly the explosion of Spiller. Not even close. Linemen can be found. They don't have to be taken high in the draft. I would rather have Spiller or McClain or Morgan, who are the best at their position than take the 4th or 5th best LT. They need impact at number 9. Period.
  8. Go to Buffalobills.com and watch the draft luncheon. Nix doesn't agree with you about having a LT.
  9. If they take Spiller nobody should be upset. The guy can score every time he touches the ball from anywhere on the field. He can run, he can catch, he can return and yes, he can run between the tackles too and score. The kind of player who makes up for a lot of deficiencies around him.
  10. That right price is a 2nd. Outside that keep him because he can play. No reason to give him away.
  11. He did look good on the video. That's different than looking good with a pass rush coming while trying to read a defense from one side of the field to the other. Not saying he won't, but all of the QB's look good in sweats right now. I would say most of the guys playing want to improve their game and work hard at doing so. They just don't get followed around with cameras like Tebow. Imagine if nobody followed him around constantly you wouldn't know anything about his work ethic for certain. But you could solidly assume he's a worker because he's been successful and he's about to get drafted.
  12. Goodell has already set the precedent though. If a player brings dishonor to the reputation of the league he's eligible for suspension. I don't like that he's the judge and jury either. But this is how he is choosing to run things so Roethlisberger will probably get a taste of it soon. At the end of the day the NFL is a private business and like any other company the head can suspend "employees" for continued irresponsible behavior. Two sexual assault allegations in a year's time is a serious red flag. Not that B.R. is guilty of assault, but he's obviously putting himself into bad situations and that probably includes too much alcohol (serious issue), an attitude of entitlement (serious issue) and bad judgement (recurring serious issue). He's definitely put a black eye on the league and his organization with these occurrences. Goodell has no choice but to suspend him or he loses credibility amongst his employees and a good number of fans. He cannot be seen to have double standards in regard to these "incidents".
  13. No. Campbell won't go for anything in the top three because the Redskins have no leverage. I would be surprised if they keep him around at his salary to ride the bench. And they need picks. That extra 2nd rounder could be a scat back depending on what they do at 9. Or that extra 2nd could be a nose tackle or OLB. Or that extra 2nd could be packaged with their original 2nd rounder to get into the 1st round to grab a LT, NT or QB.
  14. Disagree totally. Like you said Spiller is a stud. He wouldn't be wasted behind the Bills line because a guy like Spiller can score from anywhere on the field at any time without great blocking. He's quick, fast and explosive. He can catch well. He can be split out at WR. He can return punts and kicks. He even runs between the tackles. The Bills don't have a player like him on offense outside of Lee and Lee needs a QB with an arm to make an impact. Spiller just needs a hand off, a pitch or a screen pass. Any QB on their roster can throw a screen pass or a five yard slant.
  15. Agreed. Bills need value at 9. If one the top 3 OT's are available, fine. But if not, I would rather take high impact, i.e. Spiller if he's there. Especially if they trade Lynch.
  16. His personal conduct was to be in a bar bathroom with some young girl and get himself in the middle of a second sexual assault allegation. An accusation doesn't make it true, but to be accused of something that serious within a year makes one wonder what he's doing to put himself in these positions. Personal conduct is about representing the league. Being accused of thing Ben was is a black eye for the league.
  17. Big Ben's firs accuser has filed a civil suit. It's caught up in procedural haggling right now, but it has been filed. Goodell has brought this on himself. Pacman might have plead out, but he still was not convicted. Can't have two sets of rules. A leader has to be consistent or he will lose respect. Don't think the players aren't watching what happens.
  18. The Ravens just had Bryant in for a visit and have been rumored to be very interested in him. With that locker room I wouldn't anticipate any issues out of Bryant. And it's not like he has legal troubles. He's just a knucklehead from time to time so the character thing is way overblown. Marshall is a problem because he wants money. His talent is unquestionable. Lynch might be gone, don't think Whitner will be.
  19. You do realize he had a torn tendons in his toe, right? That had something to do with not stepping into throws. 28 TD's to 4 Int's. He threw well enough. And he had to hold the ball because passing was the only way they were going to keep up with that terrible defense they had and mediocre running game.
  20. Maybe so, but the games I saw him in he was far from impressive. I would describe him as a game manager type of QB without much game. Nothing he did stood out. Not his arm, not his accuracy, not his mobility, not his decision making, am I being too hard him?
  21. Crompton was straight TERRIBLE the entire time he was at Tennessee. I mean I really saw no redeeming value in his game.
  22. Say what? Where are you getting that info from?? He's 6'3 that's not short. His arm strength is good enough. Mallet and Locker might stink it up next season or get injured and not be top of the draft QB's so I wish everyone would calm down about Mallet and Locker being better options next season. I saw too many Notre Dame games since they're always on; Clausen has good pocket presence. He looks to throw more than run, from what I saw, but he can run if necessary. Panic? Dude led 4 last minute come back drives for winning scores. Is that an indicator of panic? I don't know if they should take him at 9. I would rather the Bills trade down and pick up another pick. I think Clausen could be had later in the draft. But if they did take him, wherever they took him, I wouldn't be upset about.
