  1. They aren't competent in your mind, why? You say they don't need to be famous and then the next line you speak of their needing to be somewhat competent and there's a reason why we haven't heard of them. Point 1: You seem to tie their competency into their Q rating. So it seems for you they need to have name recognition in order to gain your respect. Which is an inaccurate way to judge any of these coaches. I would say the fact that they have been coaches in professional football or major college football would speak to their competency. There are many coaches in the world. They haven't gotten as far as they have because they are bad coaches. Point 2: Yeah, the reason you haven't heard of them is because they are assistant coaches. Name us the assistant coaches on Pete Carroll's staff in Seattle or Jacksonville's. Quick what about the 49ers or the Broncos. BTW, do it without going to their team sites and looking it up. Unless you are in the world of pro football you probably wouldn't know any coach except ones who are pointed out to you by the media during a game or in "rumored" reports of HC jobs or Coordinator jobs.
  2. What young potential? You don't know what you get with the 2nd round pick. You know what you get with McNabb. And the Bills need a QB, no? There are many ways to wheel and deal through the draft. If they give up a 2nd whose to say they won't acquire another one from another deal?
  3. The Bills were 6-10 true enough. But if you review the season, if they had any type of offense, they could have been 10-6. Even with that horrible line. QB was a big reason for their troubles. If they were to give up a 2nd rounder McNabb should be better than that second rounder.
  4. Myron Rolle won't be close to the 6th round. LOL... I'd say he goes in round 2 at the latest. If he had come out last year he would have been in the 1st round.
  5. Exactly. LoL. I don't understand what folks would be complaining about.
  6. What would be wrong with rolling up to a game in a Lamborghini or talking about a Rolls Royce. Has nothing to do with anything. Do you know what kind of car Fred drives? No? Because it doesn't matter and has nothing to do with anything. Whether you "accept" it or not.
  7. Please. You can say no to Vick, but you are a fool if you think they should keep Fitz as QB or Edwards.
  8. Most coaches who are hired by any team have no name recognition beyond professional or collegiate coaching circles. The only reason you or me have heard of any assistant coach is because the media pointed them out. The Bills stunk the past three years and a lot of their fired coaches were hired quickly by other teams. Unless you are in coaching circles in the professional or college ranks the bottom line is you have no idea what you're talking about and neither do the rest of us. The proof will come in September. And I like Nix. He has done what he said he would do so far. So what makes him a joke?
  9. Does not matter. Technique is technique whether its used in 3 downs or 4.
  10. Give us a break. The Bills have been a BAD to mediocre football team for the past decade. No playoffs. I want the players who give them the best chance to win. If that's Vick, and he is better than any QB currently on the roster, then so be it. The dogs he killed are not coming back. He was rightfully convicted. Served his time. It's over. Let it go.
  11. The Juice is No. 1: athletically dominant. Could only be stopped by injury or bad coaches. O.J. kept the Bills in the spotlight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoK_KGz1rHU Bruce and Thurman are not far behind. Dominant as well when they played.
  12. You don't draft a guard that high. And you don't draft a guy that high to move him to another position. If they go LT they should take a guy who has played LT and been successful. You want him in the bottom of the first round or second round, go ahead.
  13. And the funny thing is that at 91 the man has built multiple businesses that are worth near a billion dollars. His football operations might be lacking, but his business sense has served him well.
  14. You can't say this as a fact. Some people defend Michael Vick because they are fans of the Bills; a football organization whose mission is to win football games. Vick is a better QB than any on the current roster, no matter what people want to make up to say otherwise. He might be able to help the Bills win more football games than the current lineup of QB's and should therefore be considered for the roster. Some people defend Vick because the man was tried, convicted and served his time for his criminal actions. I fall into both camps. And I have been a member of Amnesty International for years and work with foster youth on weekly basis. I don't see how, in a system designed for rehabilitation, no one wants to allow rehabilitation to take place.
  15. Some slave owners used to put their actual slaves into pit as well to fight as entertainment.
  16. That's the problem. You don't know who is employed by any team or company in any walk of life. Michael Vick isn't a new phenomenon. Bernie Madoff worked for someone at some point. We could go on and on. Just because you don't hear of something doesn't mean something isn't going on within a company. Where do you draw the line? You don't think it should be in the NFL why? He served his time. He has to work somewhere. If people in the NFL are willing to hire him and he has the skills to work there what's the issue?
  17. Yes, he's an upgrade. He's accomplished more than either of the QB's we have combined. There is no baggage he brings if people don't create any.
  18. How good was the Bills line last year? Is that Kugler's fault or the fault of talent evaluators who fielded the team? Did they have injuries? Did the QB hold the ball too long? Charles ran for 1500 yards. Their line wasn't all bad. Step down off the ledge.
  19. And Giants fans could say the same about us and Fewell or Steelers fans about us and Kugler and on and on... Nobody is ever happy when their team isn't winning. They are mad D'Alessandris after their RB ran for 1500 yards? Hmmmmm... It doesn't make me nervous at all. Let's be real. 98 percent of this board don't know one coach from the other and never heard of any of the coaches on any team except for a very precious few. All that 98 percent knows is what is told to them from message boards (other people who don't know) or the media. If a report comes out through a recognizable reporter that this is a great staff everybody would do backflips and change their tune. If these same reporters say it's terrible everyone will complain even more. The true test is the games and how the team performs. As well as the FA period and the draft. Those are the biggest two things. Coaching is important, but players are more important.
  20. McGee is not an inferior player at all.
  21. McNeill is easily the LT they should be looking at. Keep Gandy. Clifton is rumored to be considering retirement. Gaither could work too at RT.
  22. McClain is better. See his Pro Bowl appearance. Richardson is better. See his multiple Pro Bowl appearances. And watch their games. McClain is a bigger threat in the running game. Richardson is a more consistent blocker.
  23. Pennington has a weak arm. He wouldn't make it into November. Didn't you hear Buddy say they need a strong arm QB to fight the elements?
  24. LOLOLOL. On the serious though, I want as many knowledgeable football people at OBD as possible; no matter what age.
