A coach of mine used to say it’s more important who is playing at the end of the game versus who is starting. And everyone should know by now that McD has a culture that players need to earn their playing time. If Nathan Peterman started a game over JA, I’m not worried about Bishop if he isn’t the “starter” over Damar Hamlin or Mike Edwards yet.

Won’t surprise me if they need to ease him in or more. He’s coming off of a major injury. More important he’s at full strength by later in the season than early on.

I think it’s either a Super Bowl win, or at least some league-wide accolades like MVP or OPOY. Otherwise, I think it’s still debatable with some of the other names being thrown around v Allen.

Of the WRs you mentioned, I would actually put Wayne in first. And I’d put Ward right on a level with Holt or slightly above. Both have SBs and while Holt has more career yardage, Ward actually has more receptions. And like you said, Ward did a ton of the dirty work on the field too. And then I’d put Jimmy Smith a notch below Ward and Holt, given slightly less in stat production and I believe no SB. When J. Smith ever gets in, not sure given some of these other guys ahead of him plus the wave of WRs that will keep coming moving forward.

I was talking to a Chiefs fan last week, and it came up that I’m a Bills fan. Without any prodding from my end, he started by saying JA is the best QB in the game. And went on to say JA would be way better off playing for Andy Reid rather than McD. Which I agree with, but would still love to see McD help this team finally get a ring this upcoming season for as hard as we all know the guy works.

Looks like him and I both agree, that he shouldn’t have been out there last year!!
