He’s had his team on the verge of winning the division with Tua as his QB. If both teams had Josh as QB, Miami wins the division last year.
-
He scares me a lot more than Saleh and the players generally seem to love playing for him. Only reason he hasn’t won the division yet is because we have Josh. Good move by the Dolphins.

I’m really hoping we can revisit this thread at the end of the year, and say that you were way off!

Our PS is stacked

Unlike you, I like to reflect on predictions and their eventual outcomes, and this seemed to be an appropriate thread to mark the end of Zappe’s time in New England. Sorry if this offended you though.

There was so much promise for Zappe:

Rams’ LB Ernest Jones IV wants a trade
strive_for_five_guy replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree it’s not a Cody Ford situation. I actually think they should flip Elam for best possible pick they can get at this point, but I also get the point that he’s nice depth to have in the CB room. I just think they have other CB depth that they trust just as much, so they’d get better value trading him. -

If Elam is our 3rd or 4th CB at this point, it doesn’t really matter if he was a 1st rounder now. It’s a sunk cost. -
Keon is apparently the Rainman of naming random NBA superstars, and then even remembering which ones he already said.

Not sure if Von is out of the woods yet. Zay Jones’ incident happened mid-November of last year, whereas Von was end of November. If the league decides these cases in chronological order, Von may be next. Agree it’s questionable how the league is deciding each case, although here’s the actual policy: https://nflpaweb.blob.core.windows.net/website/Departments/Salary-Cap-Agent-Admin/2022-NFL-Personal-Conduct-Policy.pdf

You’re gonna get a bag of beans if you tried trading Morrow or Morris. They’d be silly to trade one of their two starting-level RBs, it’s a long season and they’re going to need more than one guy. And it wouldn’t make any sense to trade Epenesa when they just resigned the guy in the offseason and he’s in the prime of his career.
-
Just going to have Elam ride the pine another season though? Given Beane has traded the likes of Sammy Watkins or Ronald Darby away, wouldn’t shock me if he does the same with Elam to at least get some kind of pick in return. Don’t know that the rest of our DB room has much trade value, but we seem to have a pretty deep CB room and I don’t know how much better Elam is versus the rest of the backups.
-
Ka’iir Elam to Pittsburgh, for Kyle Allen and a pick. For all the injuries we’ve had, thinking the CB room is one where someone solid will need to be released unless there’s a trade. And this helps to bolster our backup QB situation.

Tua Throwing Bombs With His Mouth!

Having had a couple bad bosses in my career, can totally relate to what Tua had to say. Love the candid nature of his comments. -
Or comes up two days ago, lol:

Funny, a few weeks ago all of the training camp reviews were about how well the offense was playing and some around here saying we would have the greatest offense ever. A couple meaningless preseason games later where MVP candidate JA has played one quarter, and some are now ready to jump off a bridge. Come on people, pull yourselves together!
