The real problem with this team
....lybob replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The real problem with this team is a QB who can't make a defense cover the whole field and a lack of nasty on the defense -you don't need 11 serial killers but 3-4 guys with that Ray Lewis attitude to physically dominate would make a big difference. -
Sure, we don't subsidize corn and cotton anymore........oh wait Free trade is a myth ..... free-ish trade is possible between countries of relatively equal technology levels and economies but vanishes the moment one party feels disadvantaged in an industry they consider vital.

The Oline is one of the reasons I've given up my support of Fitz - there has been times when Bills QBs have been pretty bad but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because the Oline was a train wreck and the receivers couldn't get a step of separation- this is not one of those times -Fitz has been given very good protection and his receivers have been open he just can't hit them unless they are in the center portion of the field within 20-25 yards.

I'd probably put Anderson on IR and bring on Jarron Gilbert, why not get a look at him against real competition.

First Time in 43 Months Unemployment Drops to 7.8%
....lybob replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Does anyone have a break down of job loss vs gain comparing the private sector with the public sector? and if it's job losses in the public sector that are really holding down employment numbers wouldn't the right consider that a good thing? -
First Time in 43 Months Unemployment Drops to 7.8%
....lybob replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Unemployment figures are doctored, it didn't start with Obama it's been going on a long time and it's not just unemployment numbers it's inflation numbers, GDP, life expectancy, trade numbers etc etc etc and outside of government it's corporate earnings, the value of assets, oil reserves etc etc, and it's not just an American phenomena it's world wide. -
Why are people A$$s?= internet culture Why is it so prevalent on PPP? = irreconcilable positions If one side thinks America's decline is caused by New Deal and Great Society programs turning people into soft unproductive parasites, and an over-regulating nanny state stifling businesses. And the other side thinks America's decline is caused by neoliberalism, financialization of the economy, pervasive fraud, crony capitalism, a two tier justice system and imperial overreach there is just not a lot of room for agreement on the solution for America's decline - which is the one thing they agree on.

I don't know what's up with Mario- there are two ways to be bad, looking like you are giving it all you got and not getting anywhere (Kelsay) and looking like you are going through the motions (Mario)- I almost wish Mario has an undisclosed injury because otherwise he's just letting his teammates down because I can't believe he's playing anywhere near his potential.

Herm Edwards: Buffalo Bills Defense Is "Enigmatic"
....lybob replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Enigmatic? I don't think so, the defense has some talent but one thing it lacks is guys who make WRs and TEs hear footsteps, RBs look for a soft spot , and make OLinemen want to quit. As far as I see the only nasty on this team is the center to RT of our offense line- it's not like NE is filled with them but Wilfork, Hightower and Spikes were trying to hurt people , their OL really beat our DL in physicality- Searcy and Bradham can both hit but neither are going to get in very much. -
If Fitz gets injured this year the Bills are worse this year but maybe better from season end on - There are things I like about Fitz but when you hear about a QB who can make all the throws that ain't Fitzs- The problem of course is that Franchise QBs don't grow on trees and pigpen, TJAX, and VY all have their own short comings. As frustrating as it would be for everyone I'm pretty close to thinking that the Bills should continue their youth movement - dump Lindell, Thigpen, Kelsay, Spencer Johnson- resign Levitre and Byrd now but the most important thing is to get in position to grab a high level QB.

Romney opens 5 point lead over Obama

Romney lost the lead in very very very very very likely voters but still leads in very very very very very very extremely totally likely voters. -
How's Aaron Maybin been doing?
....lybob replied to Wayne Fontes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you draft a guy who's 50lbs less than the idea weight for the position and you use a first round pick, that's on you- don't blame the toy poodle cause he can't pull your sled and you came last in the Iditarod. -
Bills Worked out Donte Stallworth Today

I'd rather bring back Fendi Onobun as a WR -
T. Jackson vs. R. Fitz Stats
....lybob replied to BigBallzMcgee's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm a Fitz supporter as a somewhat limited QB who never the less can win when supported by a good cast but in this last game he surprised me by not just making some bad throws (expected) but by making a lot of bad decisions (unexpected) - if we are going to get a sloppy mental performance then I'd I rather get VY back who has play making upside. -
WAH! WAH! It's all about me!
....lybob replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
An easy fix - Olerud could put in a large HD display that digitally removes the Chinese pine or if that is too intrusive someone could probably set up some head gear to do the same thing. -

Did the Bills really reach for T.J. Graham?

Did the Bills really reach for T.J. Graham?
....lybob replied to Damond Talbot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did the Bills reach on Graham? probably but so what, I thought they took TY Hilton with the pick when I first heard it, - I liked Mohamed Sanu, WR, Donald Stephenson OT, Brandon Brooks OG, Demario Davis LB, and Michael Egnew TE for that pick and as far as I know none of those guys are ripping it up in camp- Brandon Wilson wasn't even on my radar because he's 5,11 200lb and as right now Drew Brees is the only guy who has made that work recently - I'll give Seattle credit for taking him but I wouldn't give the Bills grief for not taking him. -
Is the Secondary going to be the weak link on Defense?
....lybob replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. I think our defense will look much improved with Mark Anderson at RDE instead of Kelsay- Kelsay doesn't have the quickness to run by an OT and doesn't have the power to push an OT into the QB, he does make some hustle plays when things break down and if you want to give him credit for being around the ball well OK but a quality RDE would have had some big blindside hits on Roethlisberger considering the pocket he didn't have to step-up in. The truth is I'd rather see Jarron Gilbert at RDE than Kelsay if Mark Anderson couldn't go. 2. Aaron Williams has the size you love in a CB but could be a bit better in his turn and run, he's not quite the Athlete Gilmore is but that could be compensated for by a little better technique- worst comes to worse and I wouldn't mind seeing Justin Rodgers get a shot, he impressed me last year and in camp until he was injured. 3. Still have high hopes for Sheppard but I wouldn't mind the Bills moving Barnett to MLB and Bradham to WOLB if Sheppard doesn't improve. -
Sarcasm of course - never disliked Youboty but while he could be OK as a back-up he'd always be that guy you're looking to replace with someone a little bit better.

To me it looked like VY started well had some bad WR and OL play and just said !@#$ it and started to throw the ball up for grabs- like I'm not letting these jokers get me cut I'll get myself cut thank you very much- maybe the guy never had any adversity all the way through college and doesn't have the mental strength to handle it.
