  1. This game was memorable because it was the only NFL game I ever watched from the sidelines. The Edinboro band performed that day, and they had some special sideline seats set up for them. My handicap friend was helping them with some announcements, and I volunteered to help push his wheelchair. We were so low sometimes you couldn't see the games because the players on the sideline were in the way.
  2. So many Bills fans are absolutely certain Allen is going to be a bust. He could be another Kyle Boller. He could also be another Brett Favre. No one knows right now. A lot of the negative opinions come because some other "expert" said so.
  3. Glenn might be a more attactive option to a Giants team trying to win one more with Eli. Got to look at what they would want to do.
  4. I can't be optimistic at least until I know who the new GM is. If they get someone who has a connection with McDermott, then I'll be a tad optimistic. Having a GM/coach on the same page will be an improvement. Why gut the whole scouting staff, though? Why not let the new GM decide who to retain and who to replace with his own people? I also can't overlook what Pegula has done to the Sabres. He gutted them too, only two months before the draft, rather than right after. Not real smart. He's going to have to give McDermott an company more patience, because I see the Bills taking a step back before they start moving forward.
  5. Maybin. He had two years of eligibility left and should have stayed in school longer. If we're talking the first rounds overall, then the Whitner/McCargo draft was the worst ever. Taking Whitner over Ngata was compounded by taking McCargo later in round 1. Whitner had been projected to go around 24 on some earlier mocks that year, which is where McCargo was taken. A Ngata/Whitner draft would have been pretty good.
  6. More like TT 2.0. Consider this tidbit on him from CBS Sports: "Compares to: Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills: Watson is taller and slimmer than Taylor but offers similar dual-threat abilities, as well as a history of proving doubters wrong."
  7. I don't think the organization made a mistake by picking EJ. In a weak draft for QB's, taking the one with the highest upside is not a bad way to go. The mistake was putting the team in a position where they almost had to take a QB in round one. My fear is that they haven't learned from this and end up putting the team in the same position this year.
  8. I can't see him as an upgrade. We'd be better off sticking with Tyrod.
  9. I'm too poor to get NFL Sunday Ticket, so I don't see that many complete games anymore. Why was he so bad as DC?
  10. Pettine as a DC only. Now that we've spent the last two years switching D personnel to a 3-4, I hate starting over again. The defense needs discipline more than anything else. Lynn will be the HC somewhere if not in Buffalo.
  11. I just got back from Buffalo Wild Wings where I was watching him. It was only a small sample, but he didn't look real impressive.
  12. All to appease a disgruntled fan base? Winning is what will appease a disgruntled fan base. I don't see how firing Roman now will result in any more wins.
  13. I remember him well. He killed a loaded fantasy football team I had one year.
  14. This article is BS. I can't believe that there are any Bills fans, at least under the age of 50, that are upset that none of our QB's are white. The only thing that matters is if they can play or not.
