  1. I'll weep a little but I'll get over it.
  2. right now the exclusion is 5.12 million with 35% rate over that, in 2013 the exclusion goes back to 1.0 million and 55% over that.
  3. Let me guess - love Ayn Rand, gaga over Mises and Hayek, don't worry it's mental virus that life will eventually cure you of. since you labeled your link to the Wasserman Article as "Debbie Wasserman Schultz apparently has her own Swiss accounts" I question your reading comprehension so I'm going to link you to a video instead.
  4. Romney and Wasserman two peas in a pod putting profit ahead of patriotism, and they both avoided military service I'm not sure how that Wasserman biotch got out of service but I've started digging and I'll find out. Romney and Wasserman both unfit to be President.
  5. If you are using the linked article as a disparagement of the Cuban health system then you either didn't bother to read the article or you are deeply stupid.
  6. well you got her alright she is every bit as unworthy to be President as Romney.
  7. Back up DT is the most interesting battle to me because of relative strengths and weaknesses. The question is what does DW want from his DTs. Size? Heard- 6,6 340- guy is massive (and this is after losing a little weight)- relatively young 26 and cheap, didn't get to play much until the last half of the season, occasionally looked lost (bad fit for NT or DE), did have a massive game in the season final against Pats 5 Tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble, inconsistent conditioning. Has a chance if conditioning/weight is good. Troup- 6,3 327- if healthy maybe the stoutest guy after Dareus, injuries (back) are the big concern - must be 100% healthy in training camp to have a chance. Athleticism? Gilbert- 6,5 290- Athletic freak, long arms (36in), and frame to gain 20lbs if needed- the question is how much does he want it. Carrington- 6,5 301- Decent athlete for the position, certainly looks like a football player, had 10.5 and 9 sacks seasons in college, but has yet to look special for the Bills- can he shine as a DT after playing less than spectacular football at DE and OLB Experience? Spencer Johnson and Dwan Edwards both about 6,3 300, both a little over 30, both could be described as solid, both would be paid rather well as backups, surprisingly to me Spencer Johnson on the depth chart is currently list as #2 LDE.
  8. Is Romney a dirty tax cheat? my guesses 1. Romney has excellent hygiene 2. Romney has followed the letter of the law. 3. While he has done nothing illegal politically it again shows he's not one of us, it shows the rich have advantages and many of these advantages are not the natural kind (born taller, smarter, or better looking) but engineered through owning law-makers.
  9. I'd say in order MW, MD, KW- there are guys who can blow by the Oline and guys who can push through the Oline and guys who can anchor against the Oline but very few who can do all three at a high level.
  10. again yep- these principled stands against regulation are usually just so much hot air, more just a stand against a regulation that is going to cost them money, and I'm sure there are a lot of bad regulations that they are justified to rail against, but most I read about seem to be corporations not wanting to pay for an externality.
  11. yep both parties are owned by big corporations, my order would be FIRE, military industry, Energy, big Pharm, big Farm, and telecommunications/entertainment but I'm sure arguments could be made- use to be the Dems had much bigger obligation to labor and lawyers but not really since Clinton. Pro Business? pro big business or pro corporate would be more accurate I don't see much pro bias towards small and medium size businesses, and of course Pro anyone who writes me a check would be more accurate still as congressmen will support those on the terrorist list (MEK) if they contribute generously.
  12. I agree with you - as I said I wouldn't advocate a war to get out of economic crisis.
  13. I would agree that I don't advocate war as a means to solve a deflationary economic crisis - but I would say massive difficult undertakings provide benefits that Bean counters don't appreciate, The things you learn doing or failing to do the near impossible are priceless.
  14. during the war - full employment( unemployment 23.6% in 1932 unemployment 1.9% by 1945),increases in job skills, advances in manufacturing techniques, Research and Development, factory floor space, after the war the GI bill, pent up housing demand, baby boom, interstate Highway, exports to Europe and Japan, Space program.
  15. how many ships, planes, and tanks were built for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars? - what was the industrial expansion? my contention wouldn't be that war per say spurs the economy but that huge investment in industrial expansion, productive capability and putting to work unused labor does-btw when the war ended Europe and Asia was in shambles, we implemented the Marshall Plan for Europe and later an economic plan for Japan- That economic aid wasn't just beneficial to the countries that received the aid but also to American industries at least until Europe and Japan became strong competitors.
  16. It's been a long time but I thought Rothbard's hypothesis was that FED easy money inflationary policies in the 1920's led to the market distortions and bubbles that caused the crash in 1929 and depression afterwards, then he criticizes both Hoover and FDR for government intervention- of course he comes from a totally Austrian school of economics perspective- a Keynesian would say FDR deserves blame for raising taxes and cutting Federal spending too soon or maybe Fed money tightening policy in 36-37. Many (weirdly IMO) point to the fact that economic growth didn't really take off until WW2 started as a way to dismiss Keynesian economics but what was the war except unbridled government deficit spending AKA stimulus.
  17. That pretty much seems to be the PPP consensus- not as weighty as a twitter consensus- but a consensus none the less.
  18. could you see a guy looking like him getting any lead roles today - doubtful - "From Here To Eternity", "Emperor of the north", "Marty" all great performances
  19. Thirdrate- "This from a guy who celebrates and admires Caesar Chavez. Who are all the people that have left this board because they are conservative? Can you name them?" I wasn't talking about the board I was talking about the country in general and the Republican party in particular- Admire and Celebrate Chavez? no but I don't have anything much against him either- When you grow up maybe you'll learn most of these conflicts aren't between hero's and villains but usually between villains and other villains.
  20. I'm think someday real conservatives will come back and push the reactionary right-wing ideologues back to the fringes where they belong.
  21. Really ? when Romney has surrounded himself with John Bolton, Eric Edelrman, Robert Kagan, Eliot Cohen, Cofer Black and others others of their ilk- my guess is if you enjoyed Iraq and Afghanistan you will be happy if not I don't think you are going to like Mitts foreign policy too much.
  22. Almost as stupid as a state that spends 400 million to build a bridge to 45 people oh and a road to the bridge for another 25mil- almost as stupid as a state where they can't get their fuel in before the ice closes them off and has to beg for a coast guard ice breaker from Seattle and a Russian fuel tanker on the Federal dime because they're to cheap to fly the fuel in- of course we know Alaskans are smart because in 2011 they registered 32 patents while all California registered was 30750 patents, of course California has a much larger population so when you account for population differences Californians only produce 18x the patents per person as Alaskans- Alaskans = dumb dirty hippies without the peace love and understanding but with massive unearned egos.
  23. Merriman is a DE in a 4-3 defense, he could occasionally come in as a OLB in a specialty package M. Williams, Dareus, K Williams, Anderson Scott Barnett Merriman similar to one of the Giants defense formations where they use Kiwanuka as an OLB This would give the Bills the option of going 4-3-4, 5-2-4 or 5-1-5
  24. I was thinking about Colorado springs and I assure you there is not a Progressive anywhere near their government- As for the bullet train I'd rather see LA to Las Vegas be the first one but San Fran is hardly nowhere and if they need more money for police maybe they should spend the Billions they are spending on Drones for California police to do more hiring. Lake temperatures records go back to 1927, Ocean surface temperatures records go back to around 1850. You know the green house effect is not hard to understand, more greenhouse gases and all other things being equal the earth is going to retain more heat. I could talk to you about albedo, tilt, wobble, precessional cycle, orbital eccentricity, solar output or positive and negative feedback loops but of course it's all a big conspiracy from those lib scientist who want to take your Hummer away. So I repeat my heartfelt advice to the south and Mid-west to pray harder.
