Earth Day Activists Show How To Be Sensitive

1.Michael Brockers DT- probowl player in two years, a little raw but this guy is going to be a slightly bigger more athletic Marcus Stroud in a couple years and he can help in the Dline rotation right away- if we are really talking BPA I think this is the guy 2 Josh Robinson CB - Bills have to make up their minds on Mckelvin and I think would like to dump Florence's salary this year and McGee's next year. The Bills seem to really like Robinson's combination of ability and character. 3. Bobby Wagner LB- The Bills need LBs but I don't think they need a lot of immediate starters but really want developmental prospects and good special team guys. 4a Josh Norman CB 4b. Tom Compton OT - I think Bills like Hairston as a starter and unless a sure fire franchise LT like Kali drops they will look to the midrounds for smart developmental guys who can back up a couple positions. 5a Demario Davis LB 5b Miles Burris LB 6. Nate Potter OT 7a.Sean Richardson SS- In the 7th round the Bills look for a couple guys with better than average athletic ability to develop on the practice squade 7b.Frank Alexander DE WR was not addressed in this draft because 1. the Bills are deep at WR, 2. David Nelson is our basement at #2 WR, 3. Mike Wallace is the perfect compliment to Stevie Johnson he's not cheap but maybe could be had at a per year similar to Johnson's with a three year instead of five year contract - to pay for the contract the Bills could let go of Dwan Edwards, Spencer Johnson, Kelsay, and Florence which I think the Bills will do anyways, Wallace is a proven NFL WR who is coming into his prime and can make space for all of the Bills other receivers with his speed. If the Steelers are willing to give him up for less than a number #1 this year I think after the draft they'd be willing to give him up for a #1 next year.

Keuchly to me is a half step better than POZ and a step and a half worse than Patrick Willis- with all those tackles It'd be nice to see more tackles for a loss and a couple forced fumbles (zero), he did have a couple ints and is supposedly a good pass defender (I didn't see that too much from what I watched, but won't argue the point)so overall not my favorite pick at ten but I'll take the pick as a glimps of how the Bills really feel about Kevin Shepard.

Nothing against Umenyora but I like Anderson and Merriman just fine at RDE and Williams and either Kelsay or Moore just fine at LDE if anything I'd like to add 1 stud DT and I'm not even sure we need that. first DLine M Williams, Dareus, K Williams, Anderson second Dline Kelsay/Moore, 2DTs out Carrington/Heard/Troup/Gilbert/Ross, Merriman 4-3 Teams usually go 8-10 Dlinemen not sure what DW wants from his DTs if it's stoutness maybe Heard and Troup are good bets if it's inside pass rush then Carrington and Gilbert have the edge - Jay Ross is very similar to Troup in size and athletically- If the Bills are going young and cheap then Moore may get the nod over Kelsay. Edwards, Spencer Johnson and Kelsay all make very good money and none of them will be on the first Line so it will be interesting who makes it.

predict Bills first 3 picks-and predict how it plays out
....lybob replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills officially have the best off-season ever 1. Mo Claiborne CB 2. Stephen Hill WR 3. Bobby Wagner LB -
There's talk that Kalil could slide out of the top 10.
....lybob replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anything is possible if unlikely- here is my scenario for the Bills getting Claiborne 1. Indianapolis Andrew Luck QB 2. Washington Robert Griffin 3. Minnesota Matt Kalil 4. Cleveland Ryan Tannehill 5. Tampa Bay Trent Richardson 6. St. Louis Fletcher Cox 7. Jacksonville Justin Blackmon 8. Miami Michael Floyd 9. Carolina Quinton Coples 10 Buffalo Mo Claiborne -
Dream Scenario...FIrst four rounds
....lybob replied to SRivRoc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this is pretty good- I like Floyd a lot but going by Buddy's draft luncheon I don't think they are picking a WR with #1- going on what they said in the Luncheon I get something like this 1. Cordy Glenn OT- versatility makes him the pick 2. Lavonte David LB- speed and pass coverage ability is LB theme 3. Trumaine Johnson CB- size and press ability is CB theme 4a. Mychal Kendricks LB 4B Demario Davis LB 5a. Donald Stephenson OT- Good athletic ability but raw 5b Greg Childs WR- Big and fast but coming off an injury 6. Chris Greenwood CB- Big and fast but small school and raw 7a Bryan Anger P- 7b. Frank Alexander DE just judging by the Luncheon they want to come out of the draft with 2 OTs a higher round player who can compete right away and a lower round guy to develop , 3or more LBs , a couple of DBs, a later round WR who still has size and speed and a QB (which I didn't draft so UDFA) -
Give it up old man! your days of being the ruling narcissist on PPP are over, your attempts to feign off OC are pathetic, like a guy with a musket going up against a phaser rifle ( mainly because a musket is real and a phaser rifle is imaginary), also how do you expect your dull reality based history to compete with OC's expansive exciting imaginary history please just fade away gracefully instead of like a has been punch drunk fighter who didn't know his time was over.

My favorite draft day scenario in round 1
....lybob replied to offsides#76FredSmerlas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I could get a late round #1 (No additional picks) for Spiller and Richardson was there at 10 I'd make that move but that is because I have my doubts about Spiller carrying the ball 20-25 times game in game out- The Bills have needs at LT, LB, WR, CB and except at WR and LB I don't see a large drop off between 10 and 20-30, - In this draft there is not a lot of consensus after the first 6-7 players- ( Glenn, Martin, Adams) pick your poison, ( Gilmore, Kirkpatrick, Jenkins) who Knows, and while I think Floyd has separated himself from the second tier and now is in the top tier with Blackmon you have to consider that it might be Hill who is ultimately going to be the best WR from this draft. -

A Guy With a New Heart vs. Someone With None
....lybob replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
we really do blame Obama- really I'm not making this up- there are a lot of progressives who are really disappointed and pissed at Obama just not for the same reasons you guys on the right are. -

See that's where you're wrong - on the left we think he bent over backwards for republicans, Wall Street, war hawks, and so on- if we on the left had our way we'd been out of both wars, Had most of the Bush administration indicted for war crimes, thousands of bankers arrested and facing charges, legalized hemp, the end of warrantless searches wiretaps etc, a financial transaction tax, the Buffet rule, single payer healthcare, and much more - I know it must make your head explode to think there are a substantial number of people more (left, Liberal, Progressive) than Obama but it's true. -
I like it but boy there are a lot of ways the Bills can go.

Just When You Thought Americans Couldn't Get Any Fatter
....lybob replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Seriously when you see stuff like this the only conclusion you can come to is that they are trying to kill us. Also I don't eat out that often but what's with the push to put bacon on everything possible "do you want that drink with a bacon straw?" -
Here's the thing Birdog Libya the last place they interfered with is still a mess- infrastructure is still !@#$ed up, militias are fighting for territory or just looting or settling old scores , there is no central authority, and the portion of the country with oil wants to form it's own separate government which might lead to civil war- most of these conflicts aren't as simple as an united oppressed population rising up against it's tyrannical leaders- there are ethnic fractions and foreign intrigue- and at the end there is little guarantee of a lawful democratic government taking over- military juntas, theocratic government, or just a oligarchic regime from a different ethnic group are all more likely - in short I worry about any involvement by our government which to me has shown little competence in understanding the players, motivations, culture, or probable outcomes of actions- the admonishment "first do no harm" comes to mind even if it is not really part of the Hippocratic Oath.

K.Rivers LB traded to giants for 5th round pick
....lybob replied to sharebear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't say the guy has to be a pass rusher but I would say he has to be a big play maker- tackles for losses, sacks, forced fumbles, interceptions- one of the reasons I was interested in Mercilus was he had 9 forced fumbles to go along with all his sacks, I don't know if it's a skill that translates to the NFL though a high number of tackles are ok but I'm not spending a first or second on tackles down the field -

1. I think DW will platoon the DL- Mario Williams, Dareus, K Williams, Mark Anderson might play two thirds of plays with a second line like Carrington, Heard, Gilbert, Merriman playing a third- not sure if DW is all about speed in which case Heard and Troup are less likely to make it or if he likes at least one big DT in the middle- The Bills will have 17 players (not counting any more FA or Draft picks) vie for 9 spots- The Bills could have the best starting 4 in the NFL with the number two line as good as other Bills Team's starting line. 2. Nick Barnett, Shepard, Morrison look to be starting the season in regular downs- with Scott and a nickle corner replacing Shepard and Morrison on passing downs. I think the Bills are going to look for guys who can really run and be willing to take guys a little undersized if they are really athletic over a bigger guy who's a plodder- after the starters I'm guessing it will be Chris White and Moats along with 3-4 drafted LBs and another 3-4 UDFAs fighting over 4 spots 3. Wilson and Byrd look pretty good - CB is where I'm least sure if it will be a familiar name or a new comer starting.

Dick Durban The Scientist Wants More Coal-Fired
....lybob replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
2011 the US made less than 40% of it's electricity from coal ( that may be an aberration due to unseasonably warm weather but there is a overall downward trend in coal use). As for Coal it releases more CO2 per unit of energy but that is made up for by a power plant turbine's greater efficiency and the fact that Electric cars don't Idle- there are other efficiency losses from both sides but it pretty much comes out to a wash in the end- also remember it's easier to do CO2 sequestration and particulate control at a couple hundred stationary plants then to do the same on millions a vehicles. -
If that Big board is the real deal- I'd might like this- Heavy on LBs because we need at least three more that can fit in the 4-3 and fill out special teams 1.Michael Floyd WR- I really think Brockers is going to the pro-bowl after his third season but Floyd improves the team the most this year- I think Floyd is a step below legit #1s like AJ Green and Julio Jones but with his size and hands he will be a chain mover and red-zone threat plus he a good blocker for a WR. 2. Trumaine Johnson CB - strong consideration for Lavonte David but a big CB is harder to find than a smaller athletic LB 3. Bobby Wagner LB- Should be able to play all three LB positions will back up this year and vie for a starting job next year 4a. Josh Norman CB- another good size CB - but am I over emphasizing size over speed and ball skills?- 4b. Donald Stephenson OT- Good size and athletic ability but very raw 5a. Zerbie Sanders OT- very good size, some nasty and good experience but only average athletic ability 5b. Demario Davis LB- a tad undersized a little raw but very athletic and a hard worker and very good special teams guy. 6. Tank Carder LB- pretty athletic, smart, made plays, a little undersized 7a Vontaze Burfict LB- maybe not a great person and sucked it up in workouts but taking a chance that some of the ability he showed in 2010 can still found with good coaching 7b Travis Benjamin WR/PR- A Parrish type WR Overall this is a very hard draft to settle on players- very glad the Bills took care of DE in free agency because all five of DEs predicted as a possible #10 pick had something that made me a doubter- I really don't have a lot of love for any of the OTs after Kali- I Like a couple of the DTs a lot but DT is probably the place the Bills have the least need- Kuechly looks like a very safe pick but I don't think he has very much big play ability, he's probably better than POZ but I think he's going to have some of the same problems POZ had- I've been a little resistant to Floyd because do you want to spend the #10 pick on a number #2 WRs even if he's a really really really good #2 WR but he does seem like an almost perfect fit for the Bills, and he seems like he will be NFL ready right away which is good because I'm really desperate for the Bills to be in the playoff hunt.

I like the Browns #22 pick, and this is why
....lybob replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you are going to let McGee or Florence go this year (probably McGee) - next year McKelvin is a free agent who I don't think the Bills will pursue and Florence will start the season at 32.
