  1. I can only speak for myself, but I am absolutely not unified with the current "throw the bums out" messages on this board. I consider today's threads to be knee-jerk temper tantrums that do not provide quality thought or interesting reading. With that, my presence and participation will be significantly scaled back for about a week, hoping the outrage will cool.
  2. I actually think of Jones as our defensive MVP, allowing the other ten to do what they do. That said, I like Settle and am optimistic he is up to the challenge.
  3. I agree with this. It would be honorable in a number of ways: - Cincinnati; the coach, the team, the city, was selfless in their concern for Damar and the Bills. Give them the W and say thank you. - It would show our players that we care about their mental and emotional wellbeing - It would be a true, brotherly statement to Damar - his life and health is more important than the game. Something terrible happened last night. We can't make all outcomes be good.
  4. Well, young Mr. Rousseau is going to ring their New Year's bell tonight anyway.
  5. Congrats to Sal - a big moment! As far as an omen, yes. Youth will be served. #Rousseau
  6. Dial 1-800-Joey Bag-a-Donuts. The password is "Bengals overrated".
  7. Nyheim Hines. Cincinnati's defensive tendencies leave them vulnerable to short passes in the flat and YAC. Hines is going to introduce himself to Bills Mafia tonight, force the Bengals to adjust, and be a game ball reason why the Bills put up 37.
  8. I would rather be in downtown Buffalo, watching with the diehard locals. During the Sabres’ glory years, I believe there were large screen TVs set up outside the arena. My dream is a similar outdoor “plaza style” set up. I would come home for that. * I haven’t read through the thread. So, if this thought has already been shared, sorry.
  9. There is no “Cole situation”. He is a receiver on this team and will be used in a way the coaching staff believes brings the best value. Nothing more, nothing less.
  10. His performance today confirms my theory that he is willing to throw to any team but the Bills.
  11. Can't quibble with that. Buffalo Trace bourbon works for me, and no one's judgement is invites. Oh, FWIW, bourbon also makes you less nervous.
  12. I believe this is referred to as "whistling past the graveyard".
  13. I am rooting hard for the Bengals, as we drive for home field advantage. Regarding the Fins, revenge is a dish best served cold, and the sushi will be delicious.
  14. JK was our original swashbuckling bad-@$$ QB. We are blessed and can celebrate having both.
  15. Oh yes, and our four year run of success certainly reflects these never-ending decision making failures. 🙄
  16. Well stated, Mr. Montoya. You nailed it. While there is much to enjoy about our current Bills, likable players and an exciting style, it is the care and integrity of the Bills brand that I like most. The organization, built and led by McBeane, makes me proud. If I may add to your title, I would say the Bills are a player friendly franchise, where the Bills can grow as players and men. I am truly enjoying this ride.
  17. That team was so offensively dominant, that every time they committed a penalty, my thought was, "Cool. more yards for Thurman's and Kelly's stats". Fun times....like now.
  18. I'm supposed to be working right now. Instead, I'm hanging out on The Wall because last night in general, and specifically that drive, were just too good.
  19. For the OP, who is "kind of over the Hines experiment", The Athletic reminds us as football is about all eleven performing together: The Cook and Hines package returns with a vengeance ...offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey may have been keeping it in his back pocket for the Patriots game, as they used Cook and Hines on the field together a whopping 12 times throughout the game. While it doesn’t seem like a lot, that’s far more two-running back sets than the Bills had ever run previously. The Bills effectively used Hines in a similar way Brian Daboll used Isaiah McKenzie as a gadget receiver several years ago. And despite some plays that were duds, it was highly productive with some chunk plays. The Bills gained 78 yards on those 12 plays, for an average of 6.5 yards each time. Considering the Bills only averaged 4.6 yards per play on their other 60 plays, that Cook and Hines group gave them a major edge as it was sprinkled in throughout the game.
