  1. I agree about the Brown's...something that I never saw coming. Now if the two rookie LB's can come back later this year and in 2017 and play some decent ball, we should be stacked with good talent at LB for a few years. Gotta like that.
  2. Great game....finally a legit win in Foxboro!!! I'm still not sold on Taylor's throwing ability (stop throwing off your back right foot!), but these past two weeks have been awesome victories against great teams and coaches. I'd like to see this defense take it to the next level when Dareus comes back next week.
  3. Wow...no doubt! How the heck did Fitz pull off the 2nd coming of Joe Montana last week....how did that happen!!!!
  4. ^ Well said. We all know that Belicheat will be pulling out all the stops to shut down Shady next Sunday. Tyrod needs to throw the ball better than he did today and the defense needs to play just as good as it did today. If they can do that and avoid the dumb penalties and turnovers when it hurts the most, they at least stand a chance.
  5. The BN writers will heap on praise when they have a big win (yes, even Sully & Gleason) and they do point out in the game break-down's what they did right (as well as wrong). But when everything goes to hell in a hand basket? You better believe that the Buffalo sports media is going to let it be known...their job isn't to sugar coat the fact that the Bills are awful. It's like the poster said when he referenced the Browns and what a joke they are to the league and that we need to take a long, hard look in the mirror. Guess what? All NFL fans think the same way about the Bills...as well they should - because why? Because they ARE a joke! Can't you tell that even the almighty Vic Carruci writes as though he's about ready to throw in the towel? Good Lord...going from Buffalo (to NFL. com) to Cleveland and then back to Buffalo? It's a wonder the guy isn't hanging from the rafters by now!
  6. ^ Even clouding each season with booze, one still can't forget watching this team do the same thing year after year, but with different players and coaching. It really is mind blowing to believe that we have played like this for 16 years and running....just totally mind blowing.
  7. And if our returning offensive line couldn't stop Baltimore's D-Line (who the announcers said were not very good last year), then we are in trouble. Especially if we lose Glenn for any amount of time (although they still looked awful with him in there). Seriously, I didn't recognize anyone on their front seven except for Suggs...and they literally man-handled the o-line all day which made Taylor look uncomfortable and erratic. I know on any given Sunday, but damn...the offense just looked like they weren't prepared at all. And that is both on the players AND the coaches.
  8. And yet another night of soaking my liver in Manhattan's after watching crap. Some things never change, I suppose. What year is it anyway...2012, 2014, or 2008? Could have been watching any opening day game...same results. Dumb penalties, offense that plays not to win, defense that always gives up just enough yards and a couple of stupid special teams blunders. Terrah wants us to believe that this is a new team....ummmm, no it's not. No, it is not.
  9. Being that the Cardinals are my #2 team and have been for many, many years, I can agree to this. I actually mentioned to my friend last night that this was like watching 3 of the 4 Bills Super Bowl losses. Just crap from start to finish.
  10. I agree. When they were booting field goals, I kept saying "They aren't going to win by doing that...they need TD's to beat the Patriots!" That as well as "They ain't going to win if they don't put any pressure on Brady!" I remember...we did it for a 1/2 a game once and it actually worked! And the time management at the end of the game actually made our blundering coaching staff look halfway good. Man, that was God-awful!
  11. LOL...funny to read some of the game-time comments on here now. Go Cardinals!
  12. With the Cardinals being my 2nd favorite team going back to the days of Neil Lomax, this win will probably go down as one of the best ever for me. Right up there with the Bills AFC Championship over the Raiders (RIP Ted). I mentioned to my friend while watching the game last night about how Larry was one of my favorite players because he was such a class act. And then the end of the game happened and I literally wanted to weep...what a hell of a way to win a ball game. Such a deserving guy - I sure hope that the Cards can take it all. My dream would be to see them blow out the Patriots in the Super Bowl and watch Marsha and Gronk bawl like babies on the sideline.
  13. As others have said, this similar type of drunken behavior has been going on at the Ralph for years. Although I really don't get this new body-slamming and belly flopping onto the tailgating tables thing. If someone would have belly-flopped onto our table full of good food and beverages, they probably would have gotten their arses kicked by about ten people...and it never would have been caught or seen on video. It would have just been one of those water cooler moments at work the next day where you start with, "You wouldn't believe what this drunken idiot did at our tail-gate party yesterday...."
  14. If anyone has read Sully's non-Bills columns where he discusses his golf game, you know that he doesn't hesitate to beat himself up over his high handicap. Actually, I have to laugh because his golf game is about the same as mine...and I also beat myself up when I have stupid shots and blow a round, because I KNOW that I can perform better. Similarly when the Bills organization does something stupid, they SHOULD be called out for it...whether it's the players, coaches, GM or owner. There is always an opportunity for improvement, no matter how good you are (or think you are) and it's the local media (and the fans) that need to let them know about it it. I agree with some of the others that mentioned that when this city loses year after freaking year in the worst manners possible, how you can not help but be a bit of a Negative Nelly? If I had to write sports articles after every agonizing Bills or Sabres loss, I would have been fired somewhere between the Bills 4th Super Bowl loss and the Music City Miracle (if not before).
  15. I am actually a guy that normally doesn't mind Sully's articles. A lot of what he says is the truth...and sometimes Bills fans simply can't handle the truth. That being said, I thought that his articles yesterday and today were God-awful. Yesterday he was stating that we should root for Fitz and why root for Mario to have 3 sacks when we know that he is as good as gone? Yes, I like Fitz, but root for a hated division rival to beat us at home so they can go to the playoffs? Um, no. Today he sounded bitter because his prediction (as well as the other BN sports writers) were completely wrong. Then to throw salt in the wound, he said that chances are that the Bills would most likely be worse next year. Thanks for that last little boost of optimism there, Jerry!
  16. I agree...Cleveland is in shambles and this was after several on this forum were pulling for Pettine to become our head coach after one good season as a DC. They have a real mess on their hands now and I don't believe that having the #2 pick is going to revive them next season. Thanks for all of your insight, Bill....hope that you have a healthy 2016. Look forward to reading your post in Week One!
  17. Well I know one thing...he wouldn't have done squat here in this "hot mess defense" either.
  18. So I'm listening to Sounds of the Season with the TV off and a Southern Tier Gemini in my hand wondering what to do today? Perhaps that could be the extent of it? At least the Cardinals/Packers game is on at 4:30 today.
  19. ^^Super Bowl MVP too? Nahhh...no way he could steal Marsha's thunder.
  20. And feel free to insert Sam Bradford, Alex Smith, Blake Bortles...as well as two former Bills QB' s Fitzmagic and Cassel.
  21. Nope...didn't even turn the TV on today. Still fun to come in and read the posts though!
