  1. ^ That was my thought too...I knew the Browns were not going to win that game and that there would be some stupid BS call that would give the Pats the chance to win it. This is like Groundhog's Day every effin' year for Bills and Browns fans.
  2. DVR'ed it, turned it off & erased it before the 2nd quarter was over. Figured I could come on here for the analysis and read about just how pathetic of a game it really was. Another sad December for Bills fans.
  3. What I didn't get was Hackett's insistence that they keep trying to run behind guard just about every first down in the 2nd half? It was so obvious that they were calling the same plays and the Browns weren't fooled at all. Why do they seem so unwilling to run off tackle?
  4. Replay on the hit that knocked EJ out showed contact above the knee, but what about the play before where you could clearly see the Browns player going for his knees? I personally think that they were after EJ on every play he ran so they could get even for that Hoyer hit. As far as the Kiko hit, he will most likely be seeing a fine for that even though I really didn't see that as intentional. As people mentioned, it was just the awkward way that Hoyer was coming down. The stupid penalty on Williams however...that's a definite fine there. That was just plain dumb.
  5. I've always liked Dansby, but didn't watch much of him last year. Has he lost a lot of step?
  6. The Bills are like the guy that would pay $200 for a worn Taylor Made driver during the first day of a garage sale and then return to the same sale a few days later wondering what he could buy for a buck.
  7. Agree with you on all counts...it seemed like it took us forever to build a decent offensive line again from the glory years and then we just let one of our most dependable linemen walk without an offer? And before that splash out $5 million to a cornerback that can't hold a starting job, but is a good return guy? Yeah, $8 million is a lot for a guard, but I would have much rather re-signed him and passed on just about any of the contract extensions to people we have tendered thusfar.
  8. Ummm...don't we already have a QB that throws INT's at crucial points in games? No thanks.
  9. It's definitely a concern trying to reach for a QB when none of them are stand-out's like last year. You could get the next Wilson and perhaps be set for the future, or the next Leinhart & be in the same boat two or three years down the road. My vote goes to finding a QB in free agency, drafting one in the second or third and taking the best LB or WR with the #8 pick - I personally hope for Te'o because if he ends up being the next Matthews, Mayo, Willis or Miller, & goes to another team (especially in our division) I'm really gonna be sick.
  10. But you have to admit that they're better than Dockery, Preston, Peters, Butler and Walker back in 2008! I feel that we have been slowly building a better o-line than we've had in a loooong time. We definitely do not want to take a step backwards by not signing the most consistant lineman we have. If they let him go, we could easily end up with another Mike Gandy.
  11. I do not want to see them blow this o-line up...this would not be a good idea for a new or rookie QB. Franchise him if you have to, otherwise belly up to the bar and pay the man!
  12. But, but...he does these strange looking defensive packages that someone told me they call a "blitz" where they try to get to the other team's QB.
  13. Really had high hopes for him and Wanny, but after witnessing what we did this year...this had to happen. Hopefully they won't wait to try and get a good candidate in here so they're picking through the trash heap after all the other teams went out and signed their guy.
  14. Great for strength and conditioning...love the idea of overpaid, underperforming players shoveling the snow!
  15. Definitely the beard's fault. You would have thought that Fitz and Gailey would have learned from the Sabres....growing those stupid beards in thinking that you're going to win is a CURSE!!!!
  16. Glad that I decided to skip this one and watch SNL from DVR last night. Turned on Fox, laughed and turned the channel. Manhattans are tasting good tonight too...
  17. Hmmm...it does make one wonder if Seattle might watch game film and then "throw some things at us that we haven't seen before" when they play them next week? Think those Toronto Bills fans are pumped up for next Sunday yet???
  18. Maybe he and Fitz should grow a playoff beard....er wait.
  19. Git 'r'done, Buddy...pull the trigger on Red Skelton in 2013!
  20. ^The good thing is that the Crown doesn't give me the hangovers like say...Seagrams 7.
  21. I don't post a lot, but I do enjoy reading your threads every week...you speak a lot of truths Bill!
  22. It's all about Crown Royal Manhattans now...but I gotta work tomorrow.
  23. I guess Chan didn't read the Buffalo News article this morning where six great running backs were calling him out for not giving his main weapon more touches in a game. Orrrr...maybe he did and decided to run Spiller only seven times today just to spite them??? Yeah, that was definitely it...he was trying to outfox them just like he does the other team he is playing against by doing things like: Wasting precious seconds instead of calling time outs once a play is done and the clock is running Pulling the kicker out of 50 yard field goals and humiliating him in front of the home town fans Deferring the kick-off whenever you win the toss against teams like New England (especially when your defense is struggling) Calling three straight passes when you're trying to protect a lead Running a Wildcat formation on 3rd & 1 for no gain Not going for it on 4th and short when you're team clearly needs to build momentum Cutting your star punter Ad infinitum, ad nauseum... "This guy here's an affensive geen-eeuss...les keep 'im on board fer 'nother sayzun er two" - Buddy Nix.
  24. I am just amazed that anyone would actually PAY to watch this poor excuse of a football team anymore - it really shocks me that there are that many people that still go and see their games! I haven't gone to a game in at least five years and have no plans to anytime soon unless we have a better head coach that doesn't outcoach himself in crucial situations & they prove to me that they are worth my hard earned money. Kudos to all the die-hard Bills fans that can still sit in the cold, rain and snow and consistently watch this team fail time and time again. It's bad enough to sit at home or in a bar and watch it...I can't even imagine the feeling I would have if I wasted well over $100 and had to leave the stadium after a loss like today's stinker. And then they wonder why there are so many fights and crazy sh%t that goes on during and after the games? Look at the product that is presented to us week after week & year after year for God's sake! They don't think that people are gonna have a negative attitude after watching your coach make some of the stupidest calls in team history? And when we thought that it couldn't have been worse than Jauron, Williams or Mularkey....now we have to deal with THIS every Sunday???? If they move the team, it could only be a blessing to me at this point...maybe my chronic heartburn and heavy addiction to alcohol on Sunday's would finally disappear...you know, I think that I may have finally had it with this team?
