Amen brother....amen. And deep down, didn't you wonder how the Bills were going to screw it all up after taking the lead in the 1st half? Can't you say that you knew it was coming? I have to admit that I did...and this coming from a 30 year Bills fan. I just can't for the life of me realize why us Buffalo fans are tortured in the manner that we are? What did we EVER do to deserve this insanity? I just don't get it.

I can't...or I would be banned for life.

^^Someone needs a Snickers.

We would have won with my 96 year old grandmother coaching today.

Are we sure that wasn't Dick Jauron out there today?

I know...isn't it amazing? I was actually laughing....LAUGHING at the end of this game. It's gotten to the point where I am over the anger and frustration to the point where you just expect the worst and then laugh yourself silly when it all comes to fruition. PS - And all that....with only two beers during the game!

Yep...blow it all up the exact same way that they do every couple of years. Lather, rinse, repeat every two to three years. And four years from now, they'll still be figuring out ways to lose crucial games in Nov/Dec. Seriously....was anyone surprised by this loss? Really?

If you are shocked, disappointed or stunned by this loss then you are not a real Bills fan.

Seven things I learned from last night...

Despite being an RB, you could probably throw Danny Woodhead in there too. While obviously not a 1,000+ yard receiver, he would always sneak in those clutch catches when you'd least expect it. -
This. My body definitely wasn't liking me today at work. Didn't help that our A/C wasn't working so it was about 85 degrees in the office all day.

This is perhaps the one of the funniest posts that I have ever read in this forum...probably because I more or less emulated the same F-bomb laced mental breakdown in the 4th and stormed off to bed when it was 20-10. My body wasn't liking me today at work after staying up too late drinking during the game. This post helped get a good laugh out of me during my lunch break...thanks for sharing!

Hmmm...I thought it was the Dio song when I saw the title. I feel so betrayed! -
So would you say the season is over now? Before Halloween?

Had the Bills won in a dominant fashion today, I might have said yes. After today, no...absolutely not. You don't lose three home games and then one on the road to the worst team in football and expect to come out smelling like roses in the end. 6-10 or 7-9 looks & sounds more fathomable at this point - and even that is probably being optimistic. -
Failed Expectations, Rex Ryan is not a leader of men

Do the fans get to haze the players after they stink it up? -
Kinda like my avatar? Seriously on the injury thing...I have heard that excuse so many times about both the Bills and the Sabres over the years, I literally want to barf. Back-up players are paid very good money to come out there as an insurance plan when an injury occurs to the starter. Do they have to perform like an all-star? No, but they should be prepared and focused to play and try to avoid critical mistakes and penalties....heck, now that I think about it, our starters can't even do that!

time to cut EJ. Bring in Tebow as a backup

Heck, I would take Alex Van Pelt at this point. Maybe even (gulp) Billie Joe Hobert or Tuel Time? -

Phantom call on Robey =Royally Screwed in England
Bacchus44 replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was intentional...a little running joke between me and a friend. Based on how I realized how stupid it looked from the outside, I have changed my name to Bacchus44. Bacchus is my dog's name...named after the Roman God of alcohol - which is what I need to consume lots of in order to be a Bills and Sabres fan living in WNY! -

Yes, the Bills could have (and should have) played better so this call was a non-issue...but the fact is that this was an absolutely horrendous call. The more this type of stuff happens (and what happened in the Seattle/Lions game), the less interest that I have in watching anymore. Once you start hearing tons of people say that the games are being rigged by the refs for online sport gambling profitability, the more you really start to wonder if they are correct. It's one thing to make an honest mistake because you thought you knew what you were seeing, but these types of horrendous calls (some even after further review & with multiple refs watching) are ruining the game, IMO. This seems to have gotten much worse in the past 2-3 years, no? Yes, there have been bad calls made as far back as I have been watching football...but none as blatantly bad as the calls that I have witnessed in games lately. -
Has anyone noticed that we have a similar problem at QB that we have with the Sabres in net? No franchise QB or goalie so the GM rolls the dice on an unproven. They both get hurt and the back-ups that they have in place are total crap....and then the team just decides to suck & they are pretty much cellar dwellers for yet another season. It's gonna be yet another loooonnnng, cold winter, my friends.

This. While I haven't followed the team that long (I'm only 44), I can relate to your anguish & pain - I think an awful lot of us can. Today I DVR'ed the game and was going to watch it later until I opened up MSN and accidentally saw that they had lost. While I really didn't think that they would lose to the Jaguars, I honestly thought that they would play with some heart and their defense might have unleashed on Bortles. It certainly didn't look that way and EJ looked to have given the Jags plenty of easy points for yet another shocking loss. Being that I had my company pull basically the same thing to me this past Thursday, I couldn't stand the heartache of having the football pulled away from me two times in one week - so I just deleted the recording. Yes, my company offered me a relocation job that I applied for in FL and then rescinded the job offer two weeks after I signed the offer sheet. You wouldn't think that they would ever use that "We reserve the right" crap at the bottom of a contract to screw someone like that...but yet they did - just to save the cost of the relocation. So yeah...a really bad week for me and today's outcome by the team I love certainly didn't help matters. I was looking forward to watching the game later with some brews & friends until I opened MSN and see the bad news on the front page. This just deflated me and ruined what little was left of an already bad weekend. Looks like another long winter here in WNY.
