Anyone Have This Frustration With The Titans Game
Olliemets replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
We just got beat. Missed the first down by inches twice which happens. I loved going for it. Don't believe McD of old would have. Thought in 3Q that last team with ball would probably win and it almost played out that way. My personal most frustrating moment came on our next to last drive in 4Q before Titans scored, when JA took that drive killing sack. At that point in the game it was all about possesion, eating clock and coming away with points. Locking for a deep strike and taking that sack there seemed a terrible omen. -

Titans a mentally tough team. Henry Comeback ability. We make fun of Tannehill but he makes plays hang a L on them

I'm putting Herbert ahead of the other 2. He's looking like Josh West to me. Burrow very good though. AFC is stacked with young QBs -

The site of the Former Twin Oaks Motel- Was there last Sunday. Was able to get a spot a little after 9A. Motel demolished and all lot now. Great scene, can walk and cut through woods through Stadium Lot or down road. 30 Bucks. Awesome tailgate scene. -
9/26/21 Bills vs. WTF Postgame Thread

I was sitting in 338 on West side near that end zone and saw it perfectly from my level. I really thought at first it was a set play..it landed so perfectly. Maybe top spin or something. But when Bass kicked off second half it died again and went out of bounds. Like the wind just grabbed it and pushed it down. That's when I realized it must have been the wind. It's actually a great play though. If a team worked on topping the ball into an open area down the field 30 years to surprise teams its more likely to succeed than an onside kick. Theres a guy deep then maybe 2 guys there and lots of open space. It looked so easy. -
Who is your most hated division rival now?

As long as Darth Vader in the Hoodie is there it's a slam dunk for the Pats in my book. And it will linger after he's gone. -
Bills aren't only team with stadium issues

I talked to a bunch of Bears fans pre game at the tailgate when Bears came here in 2018 and stomped us. We were in the Hammer Lot. They were blown away. Said it was worth the 9 hour drive to go to a real tailgate compared to what their Sunday experience is in Chicago. -
Respect to Harbaugh for winning this game right here and now. Of course its a gamble. but with Lamar's skill set and that line shouldn't have been a tough decision. I like going for it on 4th. Glad it worked out for the Bills but Miami going for it 3 times today was the right call. Russo crucified Joe Judge last Friday for being so cautious on Thursday night. Part of good defense is just hanging on to the ball. I hope McD was watching.

Respect for Miami coach. Might as well try to execute and score a TD rather than bust the shutout with a worthless FG -

Week 1 Loss Thoughts 24 Hrs Later

This !!! Josh should go to school on Big Ben in the 4th Quarter. The old guy played within himself, stayed calm, made smart decisions and managed a game that was there for the taking. -
Excellent Analysis. Especially on the coaching/decisions and "tight" Josh end. Tomlin had his team ready. I like the older school coaches who play their teams hard through pre season and take a chance, don't worry as much about injuries. I'm downstate so I only get to 1 or 2 games a year. Going in 2 weeks v Washington. Really don't want to be 0-2 going in. The #### eyed optimist in me hopes that this game is a wake up call. Stop buying into the hype guys. You are playing a 1RST Place Schedule and every opponent is going to be up for the Bills. Take care of business in Miami next week.

Seachange attitude towards Bills fans
Olliemets replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. Both Franchises in the Land of Misfit Toys for decades. I traded one set of problems for another, although the early 90s were great despite the Super Bowls. At least as a Bills Fan I could root for Giants when they played NE in the 2 Super Bowls. Jet fans live in the Giants shadow here, even when Giants are struggling. -
Seachange attitude towards Bills fans

I converted in 1984. Grew up on LI, rooted for Jets. Watched SB 3 as a 10year old and loved Joe Namath. Went to school upstate late 70s and attended a bunch of games in Buffalo. I always loved the scene and the Bills became a team I followed. After Leon Hess and Jets screwed the fans and moved to New Jersey I was pissed and vowed never to support them again. LI Fans who couldn't get Giant Tickets built that franchise in the 60s and were abandoned for a 4 hour rt through NYC over 2 bridges to be a tenant in someone else's stadium, with nicer bathrooms. I joined the Bills "Bandwagon" during a 2-14 season. Visited friends, went to the Dallas game in the rain and getting rewarded with a win and Grumpy Tom Landry running off the field. Knocking off the Cowboys was like winning the Super Bowl. From that day on I was all in. Live in Hudson Valley now and make at least 1 trip a year to WNY. First game 9/26 vs Washington. -
I remember the first day of NHL Free agency in October. With a few exceptions, free Agents were signing quickly for short deals way belowall over the league. After a few days it was clear guys wanted a chair before the music stopped and they were frozen out. In hockey at least some mid level Europeans can return home as there are other leagues I can see a similar situation this year in the NFL. Also think Bills can be an attractive destination for a player looking to get a ring, something we aren't used to.

Thank you Buffalo Bills

I agree. Its not Sunday school. But I don't like the Chiefs. Sunday reminded me a bit too much of Pete Carrols SB Seahawks. Don't care for their cocky attitude. Sue me. I hope Tampa beats them, although I doubt that will happen -
Couldn't agree more. I tip my hat to his talent and he has a SB ring. Red zone failure aside, 2 3 and outs mid 4Q says a lot. Since his SB ring, it's always someone elses fault. "Poor Defense..Can't get a home Championship game..Mike Mccarthy...They drafted a QB instead of getting me more weopons (he has a lot of weopons IMO)..etc." Running out of excuses for the 1-4. Frankly his throwing his coach under the bus is a problem for me. If you thought you had 4 downs in Red Zone then why didn't you try running the ball once, or scrambling down to the 2 yard line to make LaFleur's decision easier. I Picture Mike McCarthy sitting on his couch at home, eating and giggling as Sundays game ended.

Never thought I'd be rooting for Brady but for second time in my life will......This Chiefs team is cocky like Pete Carrol's mid decade Seahawks team. That Hawks-Pats Super Bowl I actually got in Pats corner 2nd half. Seahawks were preaning and taunting throughout the game like they'd won already and really got under my skin. So I was thrilled with the Goal Line interception at the end instead of handing off to Marshawn. Chiefs have great talent. But in the words of Papa Bear "Act like you've been there before". Poor character in a lot of their players. F**k em!!!
