    Other than you disagreeing with me about Judge, we are on the same page re: the state of the Yankees.

    The way today’s Yankees are built, team, owner and manager - the juice was not worth the squeeze with Judge. I don’t fault the player. He is who he is. Very talented, but very injury prone. A smarter team would have made him a full time DH.

    He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge for the second one. I think he had to register as a sex offender, too. One misunderstanding, I can begin to understand. Two??? Nah.

    Color me crazy, but I still haven’t gotten past his choice of media people with whom to speak his truth. I think he’s a real scumbag. But I also wouldn’t care if he got an NFL gig. Lots of bigger scumbags in the league.

    As horrible as our justice system is, I don’t think sending people to prison based on hypotheticals would be an improvement.

    Prior to his coming out of retirement, it would have been Favre, hands down. But his stint with the Jets was just the beginning of the world finding out what a supreme douche he is. My choice is Peyton Manning.

    Up until a year after his death, you couldn’t find a Prince video on YouTube. You could “find” them, but once you hit play, you’d get nothing but garbled noise.

    I’m not a big fan of paying somebody primarily for optics/to appease the fan base. It’s exactly why I didn’t want the Mets to pay deGrom what Texas idiotically paid him. Age and injury-proneness were the major factors in how I felt about that, too.

    The best ability is availability. I like Judge. He’s a great hitter (despite the Ks) and a very good outfielder with a very good arm. But he just turned 31 and I don’t understand paying an injury-prone player in the other side of 30 that kind of money for that any years. And yes … I know the Mets have, and continue to, make boneheaded deals.
