  1. David Lee Roth's voice and range were deceptively excellent. Yes, Sammy Hagar has a much bigger range, but in his day, David Lee Roth had some pipes and was a fantastic singer.
  2. I agree. They were two entirely different bands with different sounds. DLR was perfect up to 84. Sammy was perfect after that.
  3. I hope it's just a phase, too, man. We have a great year of baseball ahead of us.
  4. Get Up from 5150 Black and Blue from OU812 Poundcake from F.U.C.K. Again ... I won't compare the two iterations. But those three songs kick absolute ass and cover three Van Hagar albums.
  5. My red is so confident that he flashes Trophies of war and ribbons of euphoria Orange is young, full of daring But very unsteady for the first go round My yellow in this case is not so mellow In fact I'm trying to say it's frightened like me And all these emotions of mine keep holding me from Giving my life to a rainbow like you I'm bold, bold as love Yeah I'm bold, bold as love I'm bold, bold as love Just ask the axis Yeah he knows, he knows everything I'm bold, bold as love
  6. You're certainly not alone. I've spoken to plenty of people who feel the same way.
  7. This makes me sad, Mark! I'm interested to know why you feel this way. I think "rock" is a huge umbrella (not as huge as the rock and roll hall of fame thinks it is) and I consider Cobain's contribution as being one who helped create a new era/generation of rock.
  8. They had their biggest successes after "1984."
  9. Nobody ever loved me like she does Oh, she does, yeah, she does And if somebody loved me like she do me Oh, she do me, yes, she does Don't let me down, don't let me down Don't let me down, don't let me down
  10. And that's just one example showing why EVH is such a douchebag ...
  11. You idiots can keep fighting over Roth and Hagar. We all know the real deal ... Gary Cherone ... blows them both away.
  12. That's a record for you!
  13. You'd think when he died, one of his family members would've just hit Ctrl-Z.
  14. Who had the greatest season in college before him?
  15. I love that Schobel is getting a lot of mentions in this thread. He should be the next one on the wall. Give me Schobel and Bob Woods.
  16. I've always found it pointless to compare DLR-era VH to Sammy-era VH. Two entirely different bands; each of them awesome in their own ways. Furthermore, DLR's and Sammy's voices are completely different. DLR was perfect for the VH albums he was on; Sammy was perfect for the VH albums he was on.
  17. Man, I guess so. He did a ton of good without bringing attention to himself. We need more Sy Sperlings. RIP
  18. I'd rather relocate Kroft and Smith than restructure them. Both worthless.
  19. I hope you and @Cripple Creek have another great time!!!! Same nude beach? I know Cripple said he liked it the last time! You kids have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. As your luck would have it, our very own @Chandler#81 is a mastur at fixing cracked Apple product screens!
  21. The interview that wasn't: My Talent Acquisition guy emailed me about a candidate this afternoon. Tells me the guy has 12 years experience in something closely related to what we do. Then tells me that he had to start coming in late due to medical reasons and got laid off in June. Said he's been on the job hunt for months, but hasn't had any luck. Lastly, he says "he doesn't have a resume, but he's working on one." Red Flag City. Biggest one (to me) was that he's been on the job hunt for months and is still working on a resume? That's like going hunting for deer without bullets. You ain't gonna get one!!
  22. I think the right thing to do, here, would to compliment me on the uncanny resemblance.
