I think John Wayne easily goes down as the most famous horrible actor of all time.

He’s terrible against playoff defenses. If the goal is excitement and regular season success, then Jackson is great (hence the awards). If the goal is winning a Super Bowl, unless you’ve got the Steel Curtain defense, he ain’t your guy.

This has nothing to do with Patriots PTSD. It has everything to do with the McDermott/Allen-era Bills finding ways to lose in the playoffs. As far as the Chiefs always winning … that’s been happening since Mahomes got there. No one is imagining these things.

Every time I see Von Miller’s lips moving, all I hear is Charlie Brown’s teacher.

I would like to see at least two top prospects (one for each). Other than pitching, we will need a 3B (this is taking almost as long as it’s taken to replace Piazza) and a 1B (was Delgado our last legit 1B? Does Duda count?). We need to get some young guys in trades and spend some cash on decent position players.

I still think they need to think long-term. Trade whoever is not going to be part of the future now and get something for them. Definitely still need to be sellers. As weak as the NL is, we could get rid of Alonso and Severino (at the very least) and still make a wild card run.

Seems like a pretty legit tribute. Probably some YouTube footage of them. That price range for a very good tribute band really isn’t bad.

I have learned to embrace tribute bands more over the past few years. I’ve seen a couple great Beatles tributes, an excellent Queen tribute, Billy Joel and Traffic (one of my favorites) as well. Bands line Brit and Aussie Floyd are playing major venues now. I did spring ($) to see Aussie Floyd many years ago in Albany and have no regrets. For the Supertramp tribute, is it a touring act with musicians who have resumes? Or it is a local-ish group of musicians (we’ve got a local group of musicians who put on tribute shows - but they charge way too much ($40) than I’m willing to pay for a bunch of local guys) ?

We didn’t have a true WR1 last year. We will have even less of a WR1 this season. We might have gotten better. We might have gotten worse. Since we replaced Diggs with a rookie, there’s no way to know right now. Beane’s comments re: Coleman certainly don’t make me feel great.
