I have a baby on the way and the wife wants to get a couple of Bills onesies or shirts for game days. I'm a bit reluctant to. I have an embarrassing picture of myself in a hand me down Tampa Bay creamcicle shirt that still haunts me in the photo album. I'd hate to think the kid would feel the same way if this team doesn't return to respectability.

I think 8-8 shouldn't be an option. If we're making wild stabs at the future, you might as well have the grapes to pick a direction. I say, a unlikely fantastic start to the season at 4-2. Then another Fitzpatrick-like heart-wrenching let down as we fall to "teams we should beat" getting to 4-5. Then a 3 game winning streak bringing us to 7-5 and high hopes, only to lose the remaining 4 games. The loss to Oakland will sting the worst. Giving us a 7-9 season that some will tout as improvement over last year.

The fact that ESPN dedicated time to shower speculation about Michael Sam tells you what they are interested in.

Because LB isn't a position we don't have depth in. Just like we're good at QB, right?

This team doesn't subscribe to the archaic belief that you can be predisposed to injury. EJ Manuel is in fact invulnerable to injury. He got all of his injuries out of the way his rookie year.

I had hoped that we would draft QB again this year. Sort of like Washington did. Now that their over hyped 1st rounder isn't performing, they didn't have their eggs in one basket so they can toy with the idea of starting Cousins. #onebasket

I agree. It couldn't hurt. Dixon has more NFL experience. Worst case scenario, Dixon doesn't knock Tuel out of the 3rd string spot

What the OP forgets is that every single fan wanted the Bills to succeed. No Bills fan anywhere hated Fitz so much that they actually wanted the Bills to lose to spite him. As much as I criticized him, I still held out hope that he could possibly improve. But any love I had for Fitz went out the window when he chose to go elsewhere to be another team's backup. I could understand him going elsewhere for a big payday or a starting job, and he chose neither. He chose "anywhere but here."

Fitz could have renegotiated his contract to stay. And as fate would have had it, he would have ended up starting anyway. But he chose to leave. And blaming that on the supposed collective wishes of fans is super classy.

I would be very critical of the front office about the draft but I can't be. They drafted the guy I wished we could get in Watkins. And seeing as how they drafted the QB I was clamoring for last year, I'm just going to shut my pie hole and hope for the best.

As someone who wanted Manuel last year, very surprised that we didn't take a chance on a QB this year. What staff sees their #1 draft pick injured 3 times in one season and says "now we don't need to draft QB for 10 more seasons!"

We could traded Fitzpatrick and Byrd for ANYTHING but we're just so dang classy
