  1. Okay, cool. But still, its still a one-sided increase in the likelihood that we keep him. Unless it increases the likelihood of the Tag. Or unless Hughes told them "if you offer me X, I will stay for sure."
  2. Does this really increase the chance that the Bills keep him? Or does it really just increase Hughes' leverage, and suggest that the Bills will now up the price too much, if necessary. Because unless Hughes was planning to go to the Jets after Harris left, I dont see how Hughes would think going back to Buffalo is now more likely. Or, maybe it increases the likelihood that Buffalo TAGS Hughes.
  3. Grudgingly agree. To a point. WR = 5-8 touches per game (and really its targets, not receptions). RB = 18-25 touches per game. Yes, RBs are devalued in this league, but WR is becoming devalued too, very fast, with all the talk of the rookie WRs being able to come in and contribute right away. I understand there are other effects a good WR, or a "big" WR, can have without touching, but still. So can a good RB. Like Adrian Peterson, who commands 11 in the box.
  4. Wait. Are we talking about the same people? You do realize you are saying Spiller is (or may be) better than LeSean McCoy, right? CJ never makes anyone miss. He tries to beat them to the corner (often on inside running plays) and sometimes wins. There's not a chance CJ is a better receiver. And when has CJ ever been known as a pass blocker? There's several reasons that CJ is not a 3-down back, and blocking is one of them.
  5. Not for that money. Definitely not in Buffalo. I would hate it if the Patriots got Suh to replace Wilfork. Otherwise, meh. mmmmmmmmmmm. Yes, that's the spot. mmmmmmmmmGooooooooooood.
  6. Whoa. Wow did I see what you did there.
  7. Whoa there, buddy. Lets not get ahead of ourselves here.
  8. Supplemented, not fixed, your post. This post doesnt need fixing. Interesting first post. Welcome to the board.
  9. As one of those "people" of whom you speak, this isnt quite right. Rather, "people are willing to see other players who show promise develop . . . ." And then the apologists apologize, and the haters hate, and we continue this dance in 75% of the threads for months and months. Its pretty tiring, really.
  10. Yeah, I had to read the title like 4-5 times before I came in. Its almost like ". . . not wasting any time BY ACTUALLY prepping . . . " and choosing to eat cheeseburgers instead. And yeah, LeCharles has had that school for a few years now. Seen it on TV 2-3 times, and all of the students love, love it. Sounds like LeCharles is really cool. Glad to see he's putting his knowledge to use post-NFL. http://www.olineperformance.com/AboutUs.aspx
  11. Link? If there's no link, it never happened. And by the way, . . . Lupati. That is all. Lupati.
  12. Is that soccer? Or maybe Jai Alai? I dont recognize that game. But it looks real official and all.
  13. I agree with this. 100%. But the new Bills are about winning NOW. In the short term, which team is more likely to make a deep run? I'd say the Bills, based on this trade. After 15 years, i'm tired of rebuilding, stockpiling, building a foundation, etc. Can I win NOW, please?
  14. (sir, I'm referring to the fun time we have had on this board for over a month. There was an OP who misspelled the name in the thread title. We had some fun with it and the name Lupati just stuck. Its kind of like a code or something. I intend no disrespect to you. But 'round these parts, its Lupati).
  15. Its not polite to use a lower-case letter for a person's name. Lupati.
  16. Look at it the other way. How credible is Hardy if he bought off the key witness? Because that WILL come into evidence. Even if Hardy doesnt/didnt testify. The NFL does not have to give "due process" as that term is thrown around on message boards. "Due process" only applies to the government. I'm sure there are CBA procedures in place, but its not a court of law.
  17. Actually, I fully agree with that. Sucks that he called Marshawn (and probably got the applebees story. Or was that McGahee?). But we do love our team. Unlike Philly, which loves its team, but also can quickly turn to hating its team. Welcome aboard, McCoy. You will enjoy your stay.
  18. Lupati. Please frequent the board enuf to get the spelling correct. Lupati. ---------------- And after the initial infatuation around these-here parts, wasnt it generally promoted that he's not only tired and broken down, but that his strength in roadgrading is just as noticeable as his weakness in pass-pro. Pass. Pun intended. Lupati.
  19. Oh come on. Please dont ignore the obvious. He's not mad because its not Pennsylvania. He's mad because it IS Buffalo. He's not mad because he got traded. He's mad because it is Buffalo. To most people not in Buffalo, being traded to Buffalo or Cleveland or Detroit is exactly the same thing. And in terms of being happy, you forget two things. (1), you might not be so happy if you already had millions of dollars. (2) you might not be happy if you could make the same millions in any NFL city.
  20. DOES doug sleep? It sure doesnt seem like it. Every time you see him, his eyes are 75% closed.
  21. i love Hogan. Because he works so damned hard. If he were on the Patriots, he'd be a star WR, methinks. And he is the type that BB would definitely want.
  22. "I lent it to that nice man Adrian Peterson next door."
  23. I wont be surprised if they ask FredEx to take a haircut off his salary. That way, he can "decide" to retire gracefully, or continue playing. Also, if cut or if he declines the haircut, I cant really, honestly, see too many teams who would want him, and if so, they arent going to pay him much.
  24. 6) This is a deal intended to WIN NOW. We will get farther THIS year with Shady and w/out Kiko, than we would have with Kiko and a rookie RB.
  25. I wouldnt say "lazy." Surely he knows where Buffalo is. I'd call it "pandering." Because he isnt writing for Buffalo readers. He is writing for large market readers, who just like NYC residents, consider anything 5 miles north of NYC as "upstate."
