I started watching the Jets a couple years ago. I mean I watch a few games of all the AFC East teams, but I watched every Jets game for the last two years. Crowder was the heart of a terrible Jets team and their best player. He was just about the only player who was consistently open and reliable for Darnold. He brought it every single week on a team that had given up after week 1 and didn't like their HC who was a lame duck. The Jets, a 1st class organization, responded by asking to cut his salary despite having plenty of unused cap space. Then he got hurt and rewarded by pretending he didn't exist in favor of trying to make their free agents Davis and Cole do something. It will give me great pleasure to watch them torched by the class act they discarded because they wanted their new toys, that were crap quality, to shine. They've doubled down on it this year with Davis. They'll draft a WR at 4 or 10 and count on him with 2nd year Moore who was invisible for half the season and it will be glorious to watch them burn another, already challenged QB who likely needed to sit a year, with little support.

He's had a lot of practice.

Given the way Beane has been going this offseason, I assume we're trading for Jaire Alexander.

I'm not sure a football player is going to want to be known as "Mr. 13 Seconds"

Bates: ONE MILLION DOLLARS! Bates Agent: Don't you think we should ask for *more* than a million dollars? A million dollars isn't exactly a lot of money these days.

Give me a 1st or 2nd round rookie to go with Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Stevenson, Hodgins, etc and I'm good. -
Yea, that's Cristian Kirk money.

Whaley did a great job. Without him, we wouldn't have a GM the quality of Beane. I'd be asking him how he managed it too. We should start a pool on how long that lasts if he becomes GM.

Well, Star is gone so we gotta do something I guess..

Yea.. and he's reflecting on that

Star released. Pre-6/1 per Joe B, $1.5M cap savings.

OT: The sudden existential crisis in New England
Malazan replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm with @Buffalo Timmy. We ended them with the 1st perfect game in the NFL. Let them suck. Let the Fins, Pats and Jets all go 0-17. -

For a team that talks about depth all the time we are getting perilously thin at whipping boy. -
Trading Edmunds makes no sense at this point
Malazan replied to bubba2018's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, thank goodness we have Edmunds to replace Star in that position. Solid depth. -
We'd be over the cap and not have 22 players signed to actually play. The 2nd, it's not even his choice. Buffalo gets to choose if they match it which is why all this panic is utterly stupid.

Clearly, there's confusion. No such offer has been made. This argument of yours is.. I don't even know. You're suggesting to pay him more money so you don't 'risk' having to 'overpay' him. This is the same logic that companies use to sell extended warranties to dumb people.
-
No one is arguing that he should be a starter. The argument is 100% chance of using 1.5 million cap space vs the calculated risk of him being signed for an amount the Bills won't match. Minnesota currently has less cap space than the Bills do.. go lookup the rates that RFA get signed to other teams. You're having a meltdown over a conversation about a possibility from a team that would have to free up cap space to make the offer to do something that's pretty rare.

When he shows he deserves it.. Competition. Competition. Competition.

How many players restricted free agent receive, accept and then leave each year? TBD should partner up with some online therapy. Embed it into each thread with "I'M HAVING AN EMOTIONAL PANIC BASED ON THINGS THAT HAVEN'T HAPPENED AND ARE UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN" then take 10% and fund this place for the next 10,000 years in a week.

What the heck do you two not understand that the Bills might agree with you, but they had NO REASON to give it to him unless they have to?
-
I'd just say, "Well, we offered him 30 million a year out of your 50, but he wanted 31." If that was so important to Rodgers, he could have made it happen. I think we all know Aaron's complaints about other things were really about money.
