Come on doubters, how can you give up so soon? We waited all summer for the season to get here and now after some terrible losses people are ready to get to the draft after only 5 games? I am as disappointed as anyone, especially after the high expectations that came with the off season moves, but with still almost 3/4 of the season to go I can't possibly justify pulling the plug and looking forward to it being over. The ride might be another terrible one, definitely looking that way now, but sit back and take it as it comes to the very end before passing judgement. The off season will be here again soon enough.

Just play your back-ups, that's what they're for. Sounds like you are in a good position in that after this week the byes won't affect you as much so if you lose one week because of a completely depleted team it is a small price to pay to have the majority of your starters active the rest of the way.

I was out there for a Sunday night game in 01 and the stadium/parking was terrible then. Sounds like it hasn't gotten any better. Agree with most of the posters here about the 49ers fans being cool to Bills fans. That was a 35-0 beat down during the Rob Johnson days though so it may have been that they just felt sorry for us.

So... the UFO people were actually working with the US government to allow 9/11 to happen thus giving us the excuse to go in there and help recover their spaceship which is all part of the plan to use their time traveling technology to go back in time and see if Lincoln really did hunt vampires. Thank god that it all finally makes sense now.

Pretty much what I was getting at. You're definitely preaching some truth. Ha, great observation. "Reason" and "female" should probably never be used together in one post, or applied in unison out in the real world... like pop-rocks and soda... bad things man.

Maybe in the majority of life's ordeals but in my experience every female brings an entirely new set of rules with her. If you have been able to find a correlation in the way women think then you are a much smarter man than I and should market that into a few hundred million dollars in book sales for yourself.

It is a real fine line between not chasing after a girl enough, or pursuing her too much. Tough thing is if it doesn't work out you'll always be wondering which side you fell on but sounds like you got the hindsight thing down. Every girl/situation is different too so you can't even learn from past mistakes. Only advice is to do your best at reading the situation as it unfolds and follow your gut.

Exactly. In those situations you want both teams to have to compete at a high level right up to the gun.

This is a great idea.

It is a good idea in theory as I like the idea of making every snap competitive. However like many others in the thread have posted it would be impossible to enforce because there are so many other ways for a team to do basically the exact same thing.

This makes way too much sense for it to ever happen.

I believe BC is doing its best to try and keep this from happening so they can be the only New England ACC team.

I guess they plan on playing 5 ACC opponents in football a season though despite keeping their independent football status.

If we are just talking about viewing the falls and not doing anything else I think this is very debatable. From Goat Island on the American side you can get right next to the Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls for some amazing views and photo ops. Obviously everything else on the American side is a dump in comparison but if looking at the falls is all you want the American side and Goat Island is where I head every single time. Imho the comparison isn't even close.

Hard to make predictions on performance after only one week.... But I agree with most here that Floyd can't be your worst option. Meachem only got targeted twice on Monday night so right now it looks like Rivers will be looking to Floyd and Gates most of the time. Add that to RBs being a crap shoot in Denver and it doesn't seem like the best move.... obviously all depending on league/roster.

Did you listen to the entire game using that app? I tried using it with about 5 minutes to go, right after Stevie's TD, and I was only getting dead air. Someone mentioned in another thread that WGR had some issues at the end of the game so maybe it was that vs being blocked by NFL rules, at least I hope that's the case. Same here. Been using that app for the last couple years. It was always for 97 rock though so hopefully being WGR only doesn't change this.

Yeah, I've had a "crazy eyes" girl too, the lunatic gf experience is not fun. Syracuse is pretty far from Depew though.... just make sure she doesn't have your address before you hit and run.

I'll second Bar Bills. Wings there are pretty amazing. Not a quick trip from downtown, especially for someone who isn't familiar with the area. But for you locals, if you haven't tried it yet definitely put it on your list. Duff's over Anchor Bar though for sure.

All of these broadcast rules seem bloated and ridiculous to me. You'd think the NFL would be happy for anyone wanting their product and it's not like you could skip the advertising with the streaming apps. A couple seasons about I was using a radio app to listen to the 97 rock broadcast of the games so maybe the rule changed recently or they have been cracking down.

Glad you mentioned this so I know it wasn't just me. I gave up on the Bills game after Stevie's TD to drive to the bar for the GB/SF game and on the way couldn't get any of the three phone apps I could use for streaming WGR to work. All of them just had dead air even though it seemed to be streaming. Is that regular season only? I definitely used the Buffalo Bills app to listen to a couple of the preseason games earlier this year.

Agreed. Other than the obvious pic 6 the other turnovers did not put the D in terrible position as far as defending against points. Also I'm not sure the D even earned that early interception on Sanchez. It looked like Scott's second step came down out of bounds on the replay. I understand Gailey's comment about Sanchez getting the ball out quickly but even so if the D-line was as amazing as advertised they should have at least been getting hits on him after he threw. I can't recall any serious pressure the entire game. Basically aside from some decent play against the run the defense looked exactly the same as last season.

I have been using this guy's viewer map for years and have found it pretty handy. Curious as to why he stopped using an overlay to google maps though. Seems like this year the quality took a step backwards for the first time. I'm sure it's nitpicking but I thought it was cool to be able to zoom way in to the point where the broadcasts actually change.
