  1. What a disappointment to come to this thread and see it is NOT about these guys: http://youtu.be/G5uamDMoW4o
  2. That was a little disappointing. I was expecting to see some of the photos he took so that we could at least fairly judge the severity of his crimes.
  3. Hard not to agree with this. The museum part is cool to visit and walk through if you are a big music fan but the inductions are definitely a bunch of music industry generated BS. Not the most decipherable version of English but I love this letter the Sex Pistols sent to them in response to an induction.
  4. http://youtu.be/QH2-TGUlwu4 I'm surprised this 100 million+ viewed monster hasn't made an appearance in this thread yet. Can't have memes without it.
  5. I don't think it should be underestimated how good of a team Cincinnati has right now. They seem solid in every position. With the exception of Denver I am having a hard time naming a team in the AFC that I am certain is better than them. KC? Reid has them playing pretty solid football right now but I still need to see them beat someone better than Dallas or Philly. New England? Somehow they keep putting together wins when it seems they should lose, plus Cincy beat them head to head. Indy? Maybe, they are playing well too and have better QB play. In any case Cincy has to be one of the best few teams in the AFC right now and a beat all to hell Bills team still could have won the game. I'm disappointed for sure but this 2-4 doesn't feel the same as the dead in the water 2-4 teams of years past.
  6. This is another good point. My grandmother had season tickets for over 40 years and during that time missed maybe 1 or 2 games. Then the last 6 or 7 years of her life when she couldn't go anymore she was punished by not being able to watch the team she loved despite being a taxpayer and not to mention directly supporting the team financially for years. It is easy for us somewhat younger folk to say "if you want to see the game go buy an f'ing ticket" right now, but I suspect when the bulk of us hit our 70s and 80s we will be singing a different tune.
  7. True. When I still lived in the area I would say about a third of the times the game didn't sell out, and I didn't already have a ticket, the threat of black out brought me to the game. But this weekend it was the availability of a good deal on a ticket, and a group I know already driving out thus making the 2+ hour drive a lot more manageable, that prompted me to attend. If it wasn't for that I would be watching a crappy internet feed like the rest of the Bills fans out in the Syracuse area or farther who didn't want to make the drive.
  8. Man, I am getting so tired of all the traction this story is getting. How long before PETA sticks their noses in this debates and convinces the masses that Lions, Tigers, Broncos, Bears, Falcons, Panthers and all the rest are abusive and hurtful to the animal world?
  9. The 75 mile radius is correct but there is a lot more to it. Any tv station that can reach into the 75 mile radius also can't broadcast and in the mid 90s it was determined Syracuse can reach a small section of east Rochester so now anyone using the Syracuse cbs affiliate is blacked out and this rule affects viewers as far out as Rome and Utica and even a little more east than that. Hence my 200 mile statement. (If you aren't sure this is accurate, search the boards as there are quite a few threads mentioning it whenever the black out is debated) Not looking to really argue the point because it has been done to death on the boards, just saying not everyone fits into the situation exactly as you described.
  10. It would be nice if they could pack a world with hundreds like world of warcraft but seems like the console world is still limited in technology when it comes to capacity of online gaming. I believe the gta instances are capped at 16. I agree the missions can use some more depth right now. Rockstar claims to have continuous updates coming so hopefully that can get better in the future. I think I have around 80k right now. Had a long marathon with some friends this past Friday-Saturday that helped a lot. For my friend who is way over half a million, he was off on Monday and found some BS mission that payed 9k and took about 3 minutes to complete. Him and some other guys replayed it all day and milked some crazy money out of it. I guess just today they changed that mission to only be 3k since so many people were doing that so we missed the boat on that deal.
  11. I'll be at the game this week but that being said this statement doesn't apply as widely as you make it seem to. There are people who live 150 - 200 miles away who are affected by the antiquated NFL black out rules. I'm pretty sure they still have at least a little bit of a right to complain.
  12. "It's long been known that America's school kids haven't measured well compared with international peers. Now, there's a new twist: Adults don't either." Ha, and in other breaking news... school kids eventually become adults.
  13. I don't think you can rent any. Cheapest I've found is 300k but I haven't tried looking at the online real estate site from your phone. I guess that is the way to shop. Don't bother buying one of the cheaper garages. One of my friends was able to buy a high rise already for 400k and it came with a ten car garage.
  14. My friend from work and his father will be on the field for the Bengals game this weekend. I'm pretty sure this was an incentive included with the club level season tickets he purchased. As part of that he was allowed to choose one game to have pre-game field access and this is the one they chose. I'm not exactly sure which club level he bought the tickets for but I imagine google could help.
  15. Sorry to nitpick you but they played San Diego after that Arizona game. They were 4-0 going to the Cards when Trent got his bell rung and he did come back the next week to play well against San Diego at home but after that just never seemed the same.
  16. It was an email, evidently sent out to many people. (and here I thought I was on the commish's Christmas card list)
  17. I think the idea was that IF everything after Walt in the car was kind of his imagination and fantasy about how things play out then it wouldn't make sense that he could imagine Jessie with the box seeing he didn't know about it. I don't hate the Norm McDonald theory but everything about Jessie kind of shoots it down. Especially that Jessie was a slave to the AB guys.
  18. IIRC that scene showed some romantic involvement between Walt and Gretchen. I always assumed the Grey Matter falling out involved a love triangle there with Elliot. The question is who betrayed who? I have always thought Gretchen was with Eliot first because in my mind it made more sense in that scenario that Walt would walk away and take the buyout because of guilt. If it was the other way around, Eliot stole Gretchen from Walt and somehow forced him out, well then he was much too kind to him in the end.
  19. That is a really good point. Not knowing that he had provided has to hurt but I still disagree somewhat with the idea he doesn't think of it as a win. Maybe it isn't a full win but the fact that his family should be ok after he is gone has to be a very comforting thought as he passes. I don't have kids but I have to believe that most people who do would consider it a win if they pass on leaving their family with more than they had. Definitely doesn't ruin anything for me. Amazing show, maybe the best ever, I was just expecting a more tragic ending based on the few leading up to it.
  20. I am not sure how I feel about Walt supposedly still being able to get the money to his kids. It basically justifies all of the horrible things he did along the way. I was thinking it would be better if it was all for nothing because it would be a better punishment for letting things get so out of control. To know he destroyed so many lives for really no reason other than his own feeling of self fulfillment would have been a fitting end. Don't get me wrong, I loved the character and was always rooting for him to slip the cops but him basically winning in the end didn't feel quite right.
  21. I will be in Tampa later this year with 3 other Bills fans in full gear. I've seen plenty of harassment at the Ralph beyond the "all-in-good-fun" variety so I'll report back how it compares to the way we are treated while down there. I've been to Giants and 49ers away games in Bills gear, took some ribbing but nothing near as bad as I've seen before or what people have mentioned in this thread. Guess it is like winning the sh!tball lottery if you get stuck near one of these over the top jack-offs.
  22. Perfect. I was hoping the Bills would be underdogs in this one. Might as well get some extra points for my Bills bet while I watch the game in Vegas this weekend.
  23. Depends on what cycle you are on for being eligible for a new phone. Anyone who got the 4s two years ago and was due for an upgrade would get a significant jump with the 5s or 5c. However anyone with a 5 going to 5s or 5c wouldn't make a ton of sense unless you had money to burn. The thing I thought most interesting was their announcement that they would be giving away their iPhoto, iMovie, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers apps for free with iOS7. It wasn't clear if it was for new devices only but that is a nice suite of software to have for nothing.
  24. Tie would be the best. I agree with a lot of people saying Pats* because it is fun to see the all those c0cky Jets taken down a notch but I have to go Jets in this one. The more losses the Pats* have the more open the division is for everyone and if somehow miraculously it is ultimately between the Bills, Jets and Fins for the AFC East crown I like our chances. (also I expect a lot of people to go NE* in my survivor pools so that would help me too)
  25. No response to really anyone. Just notice that every year someone asks about blackouts or where to watch a game usually causes a big debate and people who prefer home usually get hammered on which always confused me. I agree for a lot of people this is probably true. I live about 150 miles away and will hit about 1 a year mixing in out of state games as well. I just think if someone prefers home over the stadium for whatever reason they shouldn't get crushed for it. It's disappointing how times have changed, but I don't think it's fair to call out an entire region or an entire fan base on an assumption they are all just lazy or not good enough seeing they don't want to attend.
