  1. O-line is HUGE. Look at the Steelers O-line, then look at Bell, Connor and even J. Sanders success. Of course, those guys are all skilled and younger than our backfield. We fix the OL, get a guy like Coleman in FA, and/or draft a stud in Rd. 2 and we will be on our way to fixing the terrible running game.
  2. this seems like a fantastic, yet improbable draft. If J. Williams, and A. Johnson are available at those slots, that's a huge win. Not to mention M. Hyatt in the 6th. I love the idea of FA O-line just because there will be less of a learning curve, esp. at Center. But if J. Williams is there at 9, I'm still taking him. I doubt he will be, and FA OL really lets us go BPA or trade back and load-up at WR, RB, etc in the draft.
  3. great point. No, we don't have the 2nd best D without Edmunds or White!
  4. I think the "big 3" of this class are Mayfield, Allen and Darnold. Jackson may join the group with a full offseason and season of being QB1. Rosen (who I wanted during the draft and did not want Allen), will be solid, but I think those 3-4 have the chance to be great.
  5. I don't think Mahomes is putting up the same numbers with the 2nd best defense. Likely in that situation you fewer shots down the field and more running. Plus, who does he throw the ball to in Buffalo. He doesn't get Foster until week 10.
  6. Doesn't he owe the A's the 5 million back if he plays football? Being the 9th pick, he's likely to, at the very least, be a reserve player on a roster, earning a ton of money over a 20+ year career in baseball. If he's not great in football, he could be out in a few years. No doubt playing football is much more fun than baseball (crowds, media attention, etc.) but he'd have to chose baseball I think. Unless there is any chance he'd try to do both, which seems impossible for a QB.
  7. 1. There is no way the Bills would make that trade. 2. The comparison of Mahomes to the Bills sitaution is irresponsible without a comparison of the two offenses and coaching style. Mahomes has arguably the best QB coach as his head-coach, and sat behind a veteran his rookie year. Perhaps Allen tears up the NFL next year? Mahomes has a better OL, how would he look here? Mahomes had K. Hunt for a while, as well as T. Hill, S. Watkins, and a QB's best friend, a fantastic TE in Kelce. I think the Colts win. They get up early and pound the ball on the ground the rest of the game with a few deep balls to Hilton and intermediate routes to Ebron. The Colts D is also underrated. I think Mahomes has come up short in all primtime games this year? The Colts D will be on him all day.
  8. Pats*** in AFC Championship game. Cowboys or Redskins or Giants in SB. Then proceed to beat the others in consecutive years. And OP, change the title to "When" the Bills win the SB!! after beating Cleveland and NYJ's in Playoffs?!?!
  9. I agree, did seem slanted toward major renovations that could incorporate many of the other questions. Personally, as an out of town fan, I'd be more inclined to buy season tickets if I didn't have to worry about the weather for late-season (or even very rainy early season) games. Plus, the biggest home-field advantage we have is our fans, and a dome amplifies the sound. I was hoping for more questions about a dome/retractable roof.
  10. Check out this stat of Saxon's. "In 18 NFL seasons as a running backs coach, Saxon had one of his backs reach the Pro Bowl 15 times. " It also looks like he previously coached here. https://triblive.com/sports/steelers/14479194-74/rbs-coach-james-saxon-let-go-after-5-years-with-steelers
  11. This guy did a great job with the Steelers. Clearly the Steelers have a better OL than the Bills, but he went from Bell, to Connor, to Sanders, who was never really a RB, all performing at a high level.
  12. Also has the intangibles I love to see in a QB. Leader and gamer. Loves the game, loves winning.
  13. A bit disappointed in the selection here. Was hoping for some Goalie Camp stuff Perhaps next year he can make a W&W shirt. "White and Wallace." NO idea what it would say, but could be catchy.
  14. As long as Bridgewater is not in MIA, I don't care. I think he has the most talent of that group. Here are my predictions: Manning: Stays with Giants. They may bring in competition, but no way they let a vet walk when they have Barkely. Without a good QB draft, the replacement for Manning is no better than Manning. Flacco: Jacksonville. Tannehill: Washington. Tyrod: NYG, Manning's backup. Bridewater: Denver. Denver finally hits on a FA QB. Foles:Miami. NO way Eagles trade him to an NFC team and have him pull a "Foles" on them in the Playoffs!
  15. that's why I'm in favor of brining them both back. 1. they should be cheap, 2. we will FA/draft people in those positions and this will provide some depth. totally agree. And cheap depth that has experience playing together is a good thing, IMO.
  16. Had a great running game in Tenn from what I can tell, and will likely try to balance out the offense. Perhaps you will see D. Henry in Green Bay? As for the Tenn. offense ranking, I think a lot of that has to do with Mariota. I like the hire.
  17. Guy looks like a baller. And don't forget that he dominated in the SEC after coming from JUCO, and was also a 5 star recruit.
  18. good way to get it done. I also remember that Kelly had "Kelly" hats back in the 90's. Not sure if he made them or Starter or whomever. Still have one in my parents closet. Will have to check it out the next time I visit them.
  19. that offense could be quite good with BA there.
  20. Wish I was having a liquid lunch! Having "typing to fast" issues. Reich!
  21. 1. Thanks for positing. Could be another great find by Bean 2. Glad we acted quickly in getting another Williams on the roster!
  22. Dude, with F. Reight as their HC, I think a lot of Bills fans want them to win the SB this year. Living in PGH the Steelers are my #2 team (unless their winning impacts the Bills). And it's been funny to see how dysfunctional they have been this year. Makes the Bills look very very well run (they are, but for those who complain about the Bills drama, try AB and L. Bell and Big Whiney Ben). There are players to like on the team (Watt, Villunavua, Foster, DeCastro, Connor, etc).
  23. allowed Wallace to eventually start.
  24. I totally agree. We add a dominant, game-changing playmaker to an already great D (either in draft or otherwise), and fix the line and bring in a Howard type back (Coleman?) to complement Shady, and we have the Bears offense. In fact, I like Allen more than Turbinsky, and we could end up with a better WR and TE corps via draft and FA.
  25. hopefully we have an O-line and RB to do some of that running. But I could see him having around 30-40 total TD's, esp given his ability to convert short downs/at the goalline.
