  1. Backup QB is important. Anyone here remember Super Bowl 25?? Or the Greatest Comeback game. ? I’m not sure if Barkley is it or not, but the backup needs to be able to step-in with some competency in the offense.
  2. yep. And a RB. agree. I think we get OL help from the draft and keep our current guys. Edge or big nickel could come from FA. this is a great point.
  3. I think you need to put someone on Kelce for sure, and perhaps even hill. Maul them at the LOS where you are allowed to bump the receiver. You simply cannot allow either of these two to have clean breaks. Mess up the timing a bit, and hope that someone on the front 7 gets to the QB. I disagree with this. White is strong enough to handle press, so is Jackson. Wallace might be also. Poyer is. And have Edmunds or Milano press Kelce. I mean, esp. in the KC game, we needed to press Hill with a CB. Hill is not a "big" guy. The D is soft zone because that's what Frazier and/or McD love, and it's going to get them killed against KC.
  4. KC also has CEH. We are missing the 3rd part of a "big 3" on offense, as well as a great front 7 player like KC has. I think we can get the RB in the draft, so we have Josh, Diggs, and RB; and then grab a DT/DE in FA. KC will still be tough to beat every year for the reason you said. Those 3 always give them a chance to win.
  5. I think we had a really good draft class. Interestingly, the class seemingly has more impact players AFTER the third round. Epensea is a ? at this point, Moss was trending very well before his injury and is likely the starter on paper next season who will compete with a rookie/FA; Gabe Davis looked like a 2nd round WR at worst; Bass looks like a pro-bowl kicker, and Dane Jackson looks like a legit CB 2 from the limited play he's been given.
  6. I also like walter football, but the amount of ads/lag time is really annoying. drafttek.com is also great.
  7. I'll play. Answers above.
  8. this is perhaps true, but we don't have many "elite/top dollar" defensive players.
  9. nice. Depth is important.
  10. Not sure that AFC Championship game helped him. He's an above-average LB, albeit replaceable. How many of those tackles were TFL?
  11. if MCD didn’t think the offense can convert the TD’s against the worst red zone defense he needs a new OC, and if he also thinks his soft zone D will stop KC’s offense at that point in the game he’s simply hoping. the only way to beat a more talented team is out execute it, out coach it, and be smartly aggressive. The Bills did none of these things.
  12. KC is dirty they should appeal the fines. they appear arbitrary and capricious given that like (or more egregious) conduct was not also fines.
  13. not a terrible idea, but I don’t think the players or fans would want the “moral victory” of finishing 3rd, so I cant’t see much interest in the game.
  14. I lime this topic. And thanks for the draft info and highlight video. I’m all for Bold moves, but McKenzie will replace Roberts. Singletary is a decent RB 3, (after draft pick and Moss), but he may face competition from Williams. I wouldn’t cut him, however.
  15. the TE writeup is somewhat alarming. What does everyone think of going after Everett from LA? Seems to flash, albeit inconsistently for whatever reason.
  16. Priority/players I want back: McKenzie: this is Robert’s special teams replacement, and is a great gadget player on offense. Just need to remind Daboll that we have him in the playoffs! D. Williams: this will help solidify the Right Tackle position. As OP noted, Ford is not the answer. J. Feliciano: while I’m underwhelmed with his play in the AFC Championship game, he is a great backup at the very least as a G/C. C. Bojorquez. Seemed more dependable this year. Ability to flip the field is tremendous and saves us from having other teams start within FG range. L. Wallace. Fits in well with this D. Provides a decent CB2 range/backup CB. Nice/$$ Dependent: Barkely. Would like him back. Good to have a vet backup QB, although I’m not opposed to brining in a better vet backup. Likely that Jake is the long term backup solution. Milano: would like him back. D is better with him, but he’s not irreplaceable. His injury history makes him likely to be affordable. He totally vanished against KC in terms of impact plays. D. Marlowe: great as a backup safety. B. Winters. Good as OL depth. Ty N. Good OL depth. Cut/Use Cap Space for other FA Acquisitions: Josh Norman Andre Roberts Trent Murphy (he was great against Balt, then was inactive v. KC, which is puzzling). Tyler Kroft. (I’d actually like him back, but since the coaching staff has forgotten he exists, his cap money is better spent on an impact DL/DE) TJ Yeldon (same as Kroft, plus, I’m hoping we draft a RB that can catch, hit the hole, and you know, be put into the lineup by the coaching staff) Andre Smith. Likely we draft a LB or get another one in FA that makes him expendable.
  17. I like the idea of acquiring Watt. he may be on the downside, and that should be reflected in his contract, but he's still better than our current talent. Also, AJ could learn from one of the best. I love the idea of getting Watt and Tomlinson in FA. Solve DT/DE and then you can draft one, but don't "have to".
  18. agree. perhaps they should have given him a target weight. They said, "he went overboard." Well, you said cut weight, and he went all-in on that!
  19. I think realistic FA pass catchers could be: Jones, JR (WR-Det) Everett (TE-LA) Henry would be awesome, but likely too expensive. Same with Golladay. hah. would love that. But, Mike Davis would be a nice FA addition at RB.
  20. it's the ability to do it effectively when needed. we couldn't. KC did, Tampa can, Green Bay can.
  21. guess what they deem a "star" is important. I'm fine passing on a guy like Dupree. Getting either Tomlinson or or L. Williams would be really helpful for the entire D.
  22. mentions "run game" and "pass rush" as areas for schematic improvement.
  23. need to slice some of the overpaid DL players.
  24. did you notice that literally every team besides ours in the conference championships have a balanced attack? you need it. being balanced does not mean "running 50% of the time," it means being effective when you do. If you're one dimensional, which we were, it's much easier to defend. our inability to score against the WORST red zone D (KC) was very telling.
