  1. agreed. But hopefully he tells Pegs quietly then. Because him just leaving without an explanation would be a disaster.

  3. is Floyd available?
  4. The Steelers should keep Fields and put weapons around Fields. Drat a WR in the 1st round. See if he can become a QB like Darnold, Mayfield, etc. who do well with another team. They went 4-1 with him this year (albeit against bad teams). If he struggles, then trade up next year to draft your guy and you have weapons around the new guy so he hits the ground running (well, passing, but you know what I mean).
  5. oddly one person looks like she is cheering. Perhaps expecting a flag?
  6. I would hope he goes public with his issues (coaching, defense, lack of #1 WR, etc.) prior to leaving. Just leaving would do nothing. At least state the issues, and let Pegs try to fix them.
  7. I think Mike Williams is the correct answer. He was supposed to be picked that high, and really never did anything. Maybin is a close second, although, really, what was the FO thinking drafting an undersized one-year wonder. totally forgot about him. Was excited when we had him, then the whole playbook debacle.
  8. AJE is a cut candidate depending on the draft and Garrett. I'm feeling like a 1st round DE may be able to replace AJE. Won't be a consistent performer, but neither is AJE. Ideally get Garrett and draft someone.
  9. K. Allen and Slayton. Garret or Crosby. A CB or S.
  10. Yeah I wanted to get a CB in the draft. Looking back that would be Revel from East Carolina in Rd. 1.
  11. These are great stats and helpful. Esp considering the 3-4 WR lineup. This makes picking the right WR critical. An expensive WR has to be one that draws coverage, and your other WRs have to be able to beat CB2, 3, etc one on one. Too often everyone was covered this year, forcing JA to hold onto the ball. Whether that means we need a guy priced like Higgins or not to open things up I'm not sure. I don't think Cooper is the answer. perhaps Slayton?
  12. hope we can grab him. Looks like a solid backup LB if nothing else. Need those types of guys on a roster. Good, solid players who won't cost you a game if the starter is out.
  13. wanted to see what happened if I took a RB first. He was also BPA in PFFs system. Not bad getting Harmon and Collins. Unsure of Walker given his competition level. Braynt and Swinson and Higgins looks like steals and doubt they last that long.
  14. The report’s conclusion was that it was bullying. Martin said it was normal locker room stuff
  15. Bean has been awful in the 1st and often 2nd rounds. Totally agree. Trade those picks for vets. Bean has done very well at getting the contributors that you would need to pare with stars in the middle rounds. Keep those picks. Ideally: --acquire DE and/or WR by trades. --or WR in FA. There are a lot that can help. First Higgins, Slayton, Godwin, etc. --CB in FA. --draft DI in the middle to late rounds, RB, etc. Some very good DI, RBs will be available here, even S or CB. Another "role" WR or run-stopping DE if needed. Backup LB also.
  16. FO searching hard for scapegoats good points about being gassed, but in terms of time lost to injury we are one of the better teams in the league
  17. BUF My Draft Picks 30. Tre HarrisWR Ole Miss 56. Trey AmosCB Ole Miss 62. Jack SawyerEDGE Ohio State 108. Jay HigginsLB Iowa 131. Darius AlexanderDT Toledo 171. Jordan JamesRB Oregon 175. Cody LindenbergLB Minnesota 179. Tonka HemingwayDT South Carolina 181. Patrick JenkinsDT Tulane 208. Johnny WalkerEDGE Missouri I like this one. Some have Tre Harris as the top separating WR in the draft. With Golden off the board he’s my pick. Getting Amos, Higgins, and Alexander where I did seems like a steal. all good but trading with KC makes that player an all-pro!
  18. hopefully D. Adams asks to be released and comes here.
  19. he’s not on the field for the season’s most important drive.
  20. I think year 2 Davis and draft picks with bringing Johnson back make up for Cook
  21. did he declare himself eligible to sign the tender?
  22. yeah, schedule release is somewhat lame, IMO. But I bet if you did a poll, about 50% or more would agree with you. The salesmanship of offseason events really is amazing by the NFL.
  23. I think even if we get Garrett, we grab one in the 2nd or 3rd. VERY deep DT draft. And some of the "non starters" have elite run-stopping PFF grades can be had in 4th-6th round.
