  1. true. But the Saints may have no options at this point. And, perhaps Spags is better this time.
  2. love this write up. I’d go corner, 1T, Edge, LB. But that’s just based on likely draft availability. We lacked consistent pressure on QB and run stuffers. Depth at LB, S and CB is concerning. agree with this also. Almost rather get offense right. Would love to see Tee Higgins here. so play him on 5th year? That would be my inclination given these numbers. Unless we need money and can get Tee Higgins
  3. great post. He is very far down on the list of issues from yesterday.
  4. insanity is doing the same thing hoping it will be different. That’s the Bills. Whether it’s running left on tush push or playing the same garbage D, or McD scapegoating someone (Elam). making the playoffs is table stakes with JA.
  5. perhaps Bean will draft another Elam. Bean loses sight of this early on and it costs us. Later on he goes BPA, and those are his best picks on the roster sans JA.
  6. we were not having McD’s D giving 7 pts to the opponent by letting them score on their first drive like he did all year away.
  7. I may add 3rd or 4th as a poll option later. I think they would take a 3rd. The issue in Steeler land is they will not keep him, so want something for him now prior to contract expiration. I'm not sure if he is a target complainer, or unhappy/complains when not winning. He was fine here when Steelers were on a tear, before the drop off. Could use more guys that hate loosing.
  8. can we afford him. This would be my preference as well, but highly unlikely.
  9. this fear is nonsensical. Look at the Eagles. Win a SB against peak Brady Pats, and fire that coach. Bring in Nick S., now what, 2 SBs in 3 years. They also fired Andy Reid, who is looking like McD here. Sometimes both parties need a change. Good is the enemy of Great.
  10. the 'hidden injury' excuse that losing team use. A yearly event. I'm sure everyone on KC and PHL is perfectly healthy.
  11. I think Mitchell was okay this year. Not great, but Indy had to be rough on a rookie WR.
  12. either trade up for an impact catcher, or better yet, get a vet or trade for one. but there is a team, with a very good WR who wants off. A second would do it: 2nd to Steelers for Pickens.
  13. imagine having him and McConkey. !
  14. Should we do it again. Trade for one of the best WRs in the NFL when said receiver is a headcase? I'd do it. Esp. if the cost is a 2nd rounder. This instantly upgrades our offense and gives us a WR who can do it all: separate, win 1 on 1, etc. Sure, he is crazy. I live in Pittsburgh, he's nuts. But he can ball. Also, we brought on Steph who was a vet and had sway over Josh. Pickens would not have that. We could resign Cooper to have another Vet in the room. We'd have Cooper, Pickens, Shakir, and Coleman and Hollins (another vet who is a bit mercurial, perhaps he can calm Pickens down).
  15. I said it in the middle of the season: we can't spot a team 7 points by letting them routinely score their first drive. That was the difference yesterday. We never come out ready. It's embarrassing and on the HC.
  16. here is the problem as I see it: Bean/McD target positions early on. This year was WR. They then pick the wrong guy for whatever reason, refusing to go "all-in" like they did for QB. Example: trading up for Thomas would have been ideal. Then, they "settled" for Coleman over McConkey or Worthy. A similar issue happened when Greg R. was drafted. They zeroed in on DL and took Greg R. and Boogie Basham. Greg is a good player, but not a Rd. 1 guy. Boogie is out of the league. Meanwhile, Creed Humphry is polishing super bowl rings. Also, Elam was targeted because we "needed" a CB. Oops. In later rounds Bean appears to go BPA, this works: Milano, Spencer Brown, Bernard, Shakir, Bendford, etc. While arguably none of these guys are "elite" they are "very good." My advice: trade up if you are targeting a position and get a blue-chip. Or trade for an established player.
  17. I think he makes a difference for sure. He's better than what we have back there. Taking Coleman was a total waste. Can't separate. This is another instance of Bean zeroing in on a position early with suboptional results. (DL with Greg and Boogie). Interestingly, when Bean seemingly goes BPA later in the draft his results are much better (Spencer Brown, Shakir, Milano, Bernard, Bendford).
  18. bye bye. can find another JAG
  19. Bean has botched the WR and DL positions horribly.
  20. the “reset” narrative was BS.
  21. now. Bean and McD should be GONE
  22. also hard to bear McD and spotting the other team 7 points by being unprepared.
  23. he makes adjustments after giving the other team a TD with its first possession?? oh wait, those pts cost us the game today
