  1. McD puzzling roster decisions of Isabella and Miller over Lenny and Ford give me less confidence.
  2. I think it’s mcd and his overvaluation of vets. if he coached Houston Stroud would not have played this year.
  3. Useless Miller and Isabella in the game but no playoff Lenny. McD at it again with just stupid moves.
  4. yeah until we win A SB with Josh making fun of other teams for falling short is a bit odd.
  5. with our team would rather have Atlanta and more rest. indoor would favor us could they take a bus?
  6. would be hard in Detroit and Minny with their Domes 🤪 RG III is a terrible commentator.
  7. hopefully they have them all in a hotel to avoid any travel issues. Can also watch film, get treatment tomorrow, etc. I also share you concerns about the Bills ability to plan. The Steelers should have it worse though
  8. there was already a Monday game. We are now the earlier Monday game
  9. hey, the region of PGH does matter, a yinzer is not representative of the region as a whole. It's a subset of people. A yinzer is a Steelers fan, ignorant of anything else going on in the NFL. For example, believes that Rudolph is a better QB than Allen because Allen throws more INTs, and that the Steelers have a right to win the SB every year, regardless of the talent actually on their team. They wear Steelers stuff all year round, generally dressed head to toe in it. At a Penguins game, dude next to you is in a Steelers jersey and likely only knows who Crosby, Malkin and Letang are ("hey, who is this Karlsson dude on D, he looks good"). They literally live and die for the Steelers. Oh, they are also fair-weather fans. Like when the Steelers went on a mini losing streak this year, tickets were dirt cheap and empty seats. If the Steelers had a playoff drought like the Bills, the stadium would look like PNC park with only non-yinzers present, and there are very few of those. In sum: a yinzer is an insufferable Steelers fan. Not all Steelers fans are yinzers, but all yinzers are, at their core, just low-class (not income based, btw, plenty of well-off yinzers) Steelers fans.
  10. how was Carrol with the Pats? Tuna was good. Mayo may not be as good. Hey, that's funny: he hired Tuna and Mayo.
  11. I like the risk/reward. There is no point in throwing the ball away. As @Warcodered noted, once the ball is snapped, you have to run a play. And if the play blows up, much better to throw it into the endzone near a WR, even if into triple coverage or whatever because as you noted, there is at least the potential for an upside play.
  12. Agree. W/R/T the bolded, this is mitigated if the QB throws the ball in the middle of the field, esp. near a receiver, rather than to a sideline with no one but one WR around. I think this is what Allen did.
  13. yeah, Vrabel did a good job with what he had a QB, but a place like the Chargers would be better for him. That said, whoever takes over in NE will likely have a long leash. It's almost a total offensive rebuild. Might want to look for one of the hot OCs that are out there. That said, I hope they make a bad choice!
  14. I'm open to hearing how it's ridiculous. He is 63-75 without Brady.
  15. good LB to have against the run. did Dodson and Rapp switch jerseys for that game?
  16. most overrated HC ever. Brady covered up his horrid drafting, and now that Brady is gone, you see what Bellicheat really is. Also lost in his "SB wins" is the fact that 2 of them are due to the other coaches imploding (ATL and Seattle), and the ones he lost and should have won (vs. Giants). Now, NE needs a new HC, DC, GM, etc. Will be interesting. Hopefully they stay irrelevant for a long time. his biggest legacy!
  17. "Difference Maker" is someone the opposing DC is scared of. Very good is what Kincaid and Cook are. Allen, Diggs, Morse (perhaps past his prime now, but previously), those are difference makers on offense. Someone like Hill, Lamb, St. Brown, Kyren Williams, McCaffery, Mostert, Kittle, are difference makers on offense.
  18. If the weather is bad, use Lenny and JA legs, combined with quick hitters to Kincaid, Knox, and Shakir. Keep moving the ball, even if 3-5 yards at a time. Eventually uncork a long one to Diggs or Davis to keep the defense honest. Make sure to score. The Steelers D is not invincible, even with Watt. The Cardinals scored 24 on it, Texas 30, and more recently Pats 21, and Indy 30. Another thing is to get the Steelers offense to go 3 and out. Get the ball back to our offense. Wear their D down. Get a 2 score lead early.
  19. they should hire their OC. Perhaps Frazier as their DC? (not that he is great but his soft junk may work when you have Bosa).
  20. I live in Pgh suburb. My kids wear Bills gear to school (interestingly so do other kids). Really hope Bills win!!!
  21. I like this option, use someone who is used to running there. Another option that someone else suggested was using Knox (who has a QB background, so you could do a fake pass to an open guy) and have a DL or backup OL push him.
  22. 100% this. We all want to win. This board is a discussion on how best to win the SB. Is it with Mcd or not? What does Allen need to improve, if anything? What should we do in the draft? What's up with the middle of the OL last 2 games? All valid conversation topics. I'm fine with people who worry and don't, and enjoy the conversation (when it's good natured) between those groups, who often brings lots of thought-provoking facts to the conversation. Let's keep it up, and hopefully soon we are debating how to repeat! this is why I like the Bills. The Steelers offense is like a poor man's Miami. Pickens is not Hill. Rudolph is not (perhaps yet) Tua. Warren is not that fast back from MIA. The Steelers do have a better D, with or without Watt, however. We have the better QB by a mile. We got this guy to play in bad weather. We should win.
