  1. If that's what he's saying, how in the world could the players not show up at any time in the game against an opponent like New England? Or is it another way of saying they are just way better than us?
  2. I think the concern is more so his drafting and personnel decisions than not being available to the media right now. How does the board feel he's done in that department?
  3. Doesn't inspire confidence in the defense, does it?
  4. Yes, sounds about right for this organization.
  5. Yes, you might be right. They could head the same direction as last year. if so, say goodbye to Chan. I wonder about the leadership on this team.
  6. The Bills go to New England on Nov. 11. Will this team step up and fight like hell to make New England pay or will they crawl in tentative and scared. I know we have tough games before this one, but I am looking forward to see how this team responds to that embarassing loss.
  7. Ever think that maybe this team is taking on the personality of the head coach? This might be an issue.
  8. I agree. I guess it makes people forget how pathetic the Bills were on Sunday to talk about Maybin's poor play. Maybin being a non factor in New York doesn't make the Bills situation any more palatable for me. I couldn't care less about Aaron Maybin.
  9. Ok good point, but what now? The Bills have already made the mistake. They way overpaid for Williams and now this could put the franchise back for years. How do we get out from under a bust of a free agency signing? Do they cut him after the season if his production stays as it is now? They certainly won't be able to find a trade partner. Do we fire Nix for such a huge mistake? Maybe the money should be spent on a quality football people first, then worry about the roster. The problem now is how to fix this. What do the Bills do if Super Mario does not get any better than this?
  10. Everyone knew Bruce Smith was coming off the left side and they still could not stop him.
  11. Yes we all loved what Nix did a few months ago...but we're not the ones being paid to make the decisions to better this football team. Nix is. It's his job to make the right decisions on football matters, especially personnel. Did Nix ask himself why Houston didn't seem to be trying very hard to keep Mario Williams? Did he think long and hard about the ramifications if Williams didn't work out? Why didn't New England fight very hard to keep Anderson? After four games theses signings look like terrible moves. Mario Williams has been virtually invisible. I may be overreacting but It's not looking good. It's looking real bad. If Mario Williams turns out to be a bust, imagine how that salary will set this franchise back. I also think we can make an argument that Nix's drafts were not good. The only chance this franchise might have is when RW is no longer on the scene and whoever owns the team is willing to put the money into the men running the football operation. Get quality football people who know how to build a winner. I doubt that any football guy worth his salt would be seriously trying to sell Fitz as the QB to take this team to the promised land. Yes, I'm frustrated, and I may be overreacting to two horrible losses to division foes, but I don't I don't think I am.
  12. This is a brutal stretch. It will tell us alot about these Bills. We will see where their weaknesses and strengths are. We will definately find out about Fitz during this stretch. The coaches need to show what they have also.
  13. Agreed, don't see 11 or 12 wins
  14. If the Bills sign a reciever, which they do need, who goes?
  15. I thought calling those time outs was idiotic. What was he trying to prove? Show his team that he will never give up? Was he trying to punish them? Was he trying to get someone injured? Just a bonehead move
  16. Pass interference is not the same as illegal contact which is a 5 yard penalty and a first down. Of course Rogers is right. There may be more calls this years, but don't you think the players are pushing the envelope a whole lot more this year knowing they have the new refs? The new guys don't want to seem overly officious and the players are testing them. The new refs need to make the calls and then and only then will the players respect them and try to play by the rules.
  17. He hasn't. The obvious reason behind that thought is his big arm. But he doesn't measure up with his decision making at times. He'll throw balls into coverage. I also question his leadership at times. I will say in his defense, his line can be very bad.
  18. Tha scary thing about Fitz's first game was those interceptions were bad throws and bad decisions. They were as bad as it gets as far as interceptions go for an NFL quarterback. This after they brought a guy in to work with him on his mechanics. He was awful. Even when he threw downfield, his throws were high. I think it's a very dificult thing to change a quarterback's mechanics at this point in his life. All his mechanics are pretty much instilled. He's been throwing one way all his life and then is expected to change. It's very hard to do. Maybe they should have left him alone. No one changed Bernie Kosar because it couldn't be done. I don't think Fitz will ever be a franchise type quarterback. He will have good games and bad games and awful games. The tougher the competition, the worse he will be. The Bills need to draft a quarterback next year and lets hope he can be a franchise guy. Not sure about the draft crop though.
  19. What other choices are out there besides Schopp and the Bulldog? Schopp does seem to hate his job at times. He gets very short with some of his callers. Seems very rude at times. Maybe it's his attempt to make the show more controversial and induce listenership, I don't know, but it gets annoying.
  20. Was that much different than Fitz proved?
  21. So if the Bills make the playoffs, and don't win the Superbowl we should say see ya to Nix? Obviously if they make the playoffs but don't win it all, the rebuilding project is not over, yet they are moving in the right direction. So I say it depends on the amount of success the team shows this year. I do think they have holes at linebacker, tightend and wide reciever possibly. Also, one might argue that they need a aquarterback depending how Fitz can carry this team.
  22. I don't remember Chaney calling out Shepard for being out of shape.
