Yes, it's definately not that they lost but how they lost that's most distressing. I seriously wonder how thay can recover from those last two losses. I have been a fan for over 40 years and those are probably the worst two losses back to back I've ever experienced as a fan. They almost made me want to quit being a fan.

When a team gets handled two weeks in a row like these guys have been handled, there has to be some questioning in the locker room. Either these players now know and accept they are just not in the the same league as teams like the Pats and Niners, or they question scheme and coaching. They can't be naive to what the real problem is. They know better than we do. Persoanlly I think we have horrible schemes and coaching. Rex Ryan clearly outcoached the Bills also. Maybe we have less talent than I thought but I think we should have been able to compete better against the teams we lost to. We should not have lost that badly. I've seen less talented teams compete more effectively. -

I don't think he's trying to play a game. I think football is way more than a game to him and it's difficult for him to accept a player, who is being paid very well to call it such. In reality professional football is much more than a game. It is big business and people take it very seriously. It hurts fans, who have loved the sport for so long and have rooted for their home team for so long to hear a player imply that the game is not that important to him. For good or bad, pro football is way more than a game for many folks. I am not judging if that is a good thing or a bad thing. We all have our opinions on that subject , but for many it is way more than agame. As far as Dareus making that comment, I cannot in good conscience be angry with him for it. He just lost his brother in a senseless shooting. Who can blame Dareus for taking that view on footabll at a time when he has lost a loved one? I feel bad for him and give him credit for even playing after such a personal tragedy. I would be shocked if he was able to play at his best level after this. -
We knew the Bills would lose @9ers in April
first_and_ten replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why should it concern him that the Bills are the first team EVER to have a team rush and pass for 300 yards against them? This was expected. Hell, it was a 10 point spread. Teams are supposed to put up record setting numbers on 10 point spreads. No one should be concerned. Almost 150 point against in the 3 loses is nothing to concern us. -
enough...just enough excuses

The Cards are definately not the Pats or the Niners, and Miami almost beat them at their place, but I just don't see the Bills beating anyone on the road at this point. They have no mental toughness and I have no confidence in the coaching staff to turn this around any time soon. They are a defeated team and it shows in their demeanor. As soon as something bad happens in the game, they will implode. -

Buddy Nix is the problem

And what if december comes around and we evaluate and they are as bad as they are now? Then what? -
It wouldn't have mattered if the Bills had taken a knee and ran out the clock. Only the final score of a blowout would have changed a bit. The Niners would have come out in the second half and kicked the Bills butts either way. The Bills would have quit when the first bad thing happened to them. Bad things happen in games. Good teams play through it and overcome it. Bad teams like Buffalo quit. To be fair to bad teams, not all bad teams quit either. This bad Buffalo team seems to have a roster of quitters waiting for a reason to sulk.

The Gailey Era Is All But Over

I think the Bills need to keep everyone of these coaches in place until there is a new owner. No coach worth anything will come to this team right now. This team gets blown up when a new owner arrives. Let the current bunch of misfits play it out until then. This organiztion is a joke. When new ownership is in place, they hire a real GM and then he can hire the head coach, etc. etc. -
I get your point, but football is a team sport. He has every right to get as much as he can but he has to realise at the same time, there is a salary cap and his salary would have an effect on the quality of the team. He chose to hold out for more money, knowing it would mean less talent around him. I'm not sure Tom Brady makes the same choice. Was it selfish? Probably , but many of us would do the same in his position.

How's Aaron Maybin been doing?
first_and_ten replied to Wayne Fontes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, couldn't care less about the failures of Maybin as a NY Jet. My concern is how bad the Bills defense is right now. No big surprise that Maybin is not very good. -
And even they laid an egg in Minnesota....just saying
-
If that's what he's saying, how in the world could the players not show up at any time in the game against an opponent like New England? Or is it another way of saying they are just way better than us?
-
Doesn't inspire confidence in the defense, does it?

Words Gailey will say again
first_and_ten replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, sounds about right for this organization. -
Yes, you might be right. They could head the same direction as last year. if so, say goodbye to Chan. I wonder about the leadership on this team.
-
The Bills go to New England on Nov. 11. Will this team step up and fight like hell to make New England pay or will they crawl in tentative and scared. I know we have tough games before this one, but I am looking forward to see how this team responds to that embarassing loss.

Shawne Merriman where are you now?
first_and_ten replied to die hard bills fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ever think that maybe this team is taking on the personality of the head coach? This might be an issue.
