  1. Also, lets take away Tuel's pick 6 in his only start and......... you know -- an undefeated record as a starter.
  2. What about the kid from Canisius ? Did he play HS football?
  3. Except for one very bad game where he threw 4 INT's, Cousins looked like an NFL starter. He doesn't play scared with lots of dump offs. He has a good & accurate arm. I don't know if he'll ever be a great QB, but he could very well be a very good option for the Bills. My 2nd choice would be Hoyer who, like Cousins, threw too many INT's but did win games especially with 4th Q comebacks. Some of his INT's were the result of a certain WR running the wrong routes. Both of these QB's would come at a reasonable price & either would provide good training camp competition. Most importantly, they will both be available.
  4. I also love Aaron Murray. He was a terrific college QB & imho will turn out better than Schaub. The only reason he hasn't been playing is his rehab & his playing behind a vet.
  5. He has more mobility than Orton. And I agree with House - Glennon may prove to be better than Tannenhill. At least, he throws a good deep ball. Just needs a little coaching. I guess the same could be said for EJ.
  6. Agree. Jim Kelly, running the Hurry up offense, had a limited amount of plays.
  7. He did it twice from the 1 yd line. Just another coach that a great QB made into a "genius".
  8. Our routine is similar. Is flying out of Toronto the best way to go?
  9. Someone will trade up with the Titans for him - possibly the Jets or Eagles.
  10. I think that Cousins is a lot better than those on this board give him credit for. He threw a lot of int's this past year because he was trying to do too much. Coaching can fix this. He is aggressive & the Bills could use a QB with some balls.
  11. I agree. I also like Hoyer who seems to be a good Play Action QB. That would be important if we are going to be a run first team.
  12. BB didn't stop the Bills. The Bills scored 19 points in 19 minutes. The game was lost by the D which couldn't get stops on 3rd down. For that reason, NY won time of possesion by approximately 40 - 20.
  13. Although I posted my brother's email, I personally like the hire & feel that Rex will be a success in Bflo.
  14. The following is copied & pasted from an email from a Jets fan. Rex has no conception of game management particularly on the offensive side. One other problem... his defenses can hold a team down for two quarters but in the last 2 minutes of a half give up a hell of a lot of points. It got so there was a string of games, in which the Jets were close or ahead, at the end of the first half gave up crucial, momentum changing scores after playing "bend don't break" defense. His guys forget the don't break part.
  15. Most of us would agree that EJ is inaccurate. If he is inaccurate because he simply can't hit an open receiver (not likely) , then there is little hope. However, if he is inaccurate because of a lack of confidence causing him to overthink the whole process which should be 2nd nature (more likely), then there is hope. I used to be negative on EJ, but am coming around to the lack of confidence scenario.
  16. Yes, on Hoyer. Yes, he did have too many int's. But I saw him do well in some 4th quarter comebacks. He is a nice QB who may have some upside to his game.
  17. I agree with you Zonabb. There are people on this board that think you can just sign a late round draftee or an undrafted F.A. & then simply plug them in. Although I don't think that one has to draft a RB in the 1st round, there are differences that the very good RB's possess. Just watch the replays of the Steelers, Bell, Watch how he patiently allows his line to create very small creases & then pops the run for 10 yards. The replays from behind the Steelers during the Tn game was especially enlightening. Spiller has speed - period. IMHO he is a below average runner & even in a Sproles type role, will never be a Sproles. Sign him if we must, but if we need the $$$ to re sign a more important member of the team, I say - let him walk.
  18. Can't think of a better person to be running the Draft than Whaley. He has a lot more hits than misses. A QB usually masks the misses for GMs throughout the league. The Steelers are a good team to emulate for long term success.
  19. Wow. Leroi knew (or guessed correctly). Everyone seems to treat this guy as if he is really an insider. I predict that EJ will not be cut. So, if he isn't cut, does that make me & others with the same prediction, revered insiders. Leroi doesn't know squat what is going on behind the scenes. I trust Kirby's knowledge more than Leroi's.
