While emotionally I do not want to agree with you, my logical brain says yes. No punter is worth the potential level of distraction this could be--even if he is proven innocent (but that will take time, and time is not his or the Bills ally right now).

So sad. I hope it’s not true for him. But obviously something happened to this young lady. And it seems clearly to have been at Araiza’s house. But I have two big questions: 1) Why no criminal charges? She went to the police the next day, but no charges and no arrests 10 months later. I would guess the evidence is weak, if there is any (the article raises questions about it). 2) How could the Bills not know this when he was drafted? It seems very Anti-process. We know much research goes into the draft process, they had to know. Which gives me hope for him, maybe those in the know have determined there is nothing to it? What did they know, and when? If there is anything to it, he’s gone, if not in jail soon. I, like so many here, was excited to see him play—he made us excited to see a punt. Now I’m sad for all involved. It appears there will be no winners in this situation.

He’s could be in big trouble, as there were no women involved, it could be the whole season.

I hope he does better than the two Buffalo Police Officers.

Araiza has already become fully McDermottized: short, vague, nondescript, almost cliche answers. Yes, he is 100% bought into the process. Yes, a bunch.

Agree. Other roster factors will heavily influence this decision, but I think one is gone. There are only so many specialist you can keep. There is not room or need for Jones in the RB room, and I don't think Matakevich has played a down on defense in the preseason, so who knows? I would add, it appears there are some much better options than Kumerow on the receiving depth chart. I think all three are in trouble. I would not be surprised if all of them are let go. But, knowing how this staff loves their ST'ers, I also would not be surprised if all three are in the line-up on September 8.
