  1. Bring back Chan! Bring back Chan!
  2. And that is as it should be
  3. Thank You! Nanker, JR, and all . . . It's an honor to serve all of our TBD brethren. This is the highlight of my TBD posting career. GO BILLS!
  4. Both of these are good signs . . .
  5. Okay, this is the fans "get to gloat" thread. All indications are that Buffalo's Public Enemy #1 is going down in flames. And, although I'm sure he would be fun to know and hang out with (I was going to say, "this isn't personal" - but really, that would be a lie, and that is also what Mr. BJ never figured out, it is very personal for all of us), I for one, couldn't be happier. But not because of his demise; rather, because in this case, the FANS HAVE WON! Yes, it is a rare occasion when we the lowly fans are able to raise our voice in unison and effect the actions of multimillionaires—who are used to getting what they want, when they want it. But not this time! In my mind, BJ was done when I found out he was on the Giants sidelines in Super Bowl 25, and no doubt celebrating at the end. Enough said. And how ironic, that his last ditch effort, a true Hail Mary if there ever was one, was to approach Jim Kelly about joining him. . . . Nope BJ, pass incomplete, game over. Well, that's my gloat, first victory of the season, and the MVP are the fans of the Buffalo Bills! Way to go gang, proud to be a part of you. Your turn: Gloat away . . .
  6. This too, is what I can't understand. It seems like if they slow it down, churn the clock, be conservative, because this team has a good enough defense to win. But we seem hell-bent on playing an offense we're not capable of playing.
  7. To help us all feel better, think of it like this: Henderson is the 2nd round guy, Richardson 5th, and KoJo 7th. … now I feel better, two potential starters from this draft. That is a a good year.
  8. Just a hail-Mary play by Bon Jovi. Actually, if he did talk to Jim Kelly, it was a smart move on his part. He should have got JK on his side from the beginning, that would have helped his PR. Regardless, this is a non-story in the end, Bon Jovi's bid to own the Bills was over with his first poor bid and lame attempt to move them to Toronto. Go buy the Giants BJ, your real love.
  9. all that sounds good, reason for optimism
  10. silly talk - the Browns aren't trading Hoyer
  11. Maybe he wants to use him for trade bait???? You know how we don't like keeping good Left Tackles around, they're just too expensive . . .
  12. Or was it a "puny" helmet?
  13. Well, it's one of those positions that goes unnoticed and under-appreciated when they do their job well, but becomes a HUGE problem when you don't have a good one. He is one of the best in the league, why would you cut him? … To help create more need? … Then scramble around a few years, experimenting with different options, until, hopefully, you find a solution again soon? … just what this team needs, right? another need to fill? The Bill's would be complete fools to cut him, and if they did, he would have his choice of teams to sign with the next day.
  14. I'd take Manziel just for the entertainment value . . . and the all he does is make plays and wins . . . kind of reminds me of Johnson vs. Flutie . . . one had all the measurable, looked the part, the other didn't, he just made plays and won . . . I much prefer the winner
  15. this, the play-off comeback to the Oilers, maybe the best NFL game ever!
  16. Sal's article on WGR gives a very good explanation of the scheme: http://www.wgr550.com/two-bills-drive/19508975 But this is what really scares me: It’s also why the Bills so desperately need Marcell Dareus to stay on the field and play at a Pro Bowl level. In many defensive schemes, there are more players committed to helping each other flush out the ball carrier. Not so much this one. This scheme relies heavily on those middle-of-the-defense defenders to make plays in space and often by themselves. If one gets beaten, huge chunks of yardage are at risk. Two thoughts: 1) Anything that is dependent upon Marcell Dareus right now is a total crap shoot. And 2) Yes, we added Spikes, but our interior run defense has been very porous for the last few seasons, and it appears to me this strategy feeds into our greatest weakness. Moreover, I have never liked the idea of spreading the lineman so wide, remember a few years ago the Eagles scrapped this system in mid-season because they couldn't stop the run. Our weakness has been run defense, and this system makes any team more vulnerable to getting run over. Well, I hope I'm TOTALLY wrong, but I just have a bad feeling. Any help ???
  17. Easly won't be cut, too valuable on special teams. I think it comes down to who does better on special teams: Elliot or Hogan ???
  18. I always look forward to these reports, way better than the meaningless promo's of the paid guys. To whomever does it, thank you in advance. You are doing those of us who can't attend, a great service.
  19. Actually, i think he is one of the best commissioners there is. No one protects the Shield better, and that's his job. What would you want him to do? just allow everyone to do what they please?
  20. This article was linked in the first article: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/04/sports/football/04gear.html?_r=0 Somewhere, I have one of those Bills Super Bowl Champions t-shirts, how much is it worth now?
