    I agree. We have solid talent and trading down probably gets you better depth, but this team needs ELITE talent. Now, if it is determined their is no elite talent to be had at 22, and it can be cashed in for more talent by trading down, sure. But to get the next level, it needs elite talent in the skill positions.

    In many ways, its like having an extra top draft pick. But there is far more assurance, injury recovery withstanding, with a player of his proven quality.

    meh, I don't see it. He's an above average guy who drops a lot of passes and disappears when needed most. I think the FA money could better spent elsewhere.

    Every major college program has "preferred walk-ons." As explained above, many will eventually earn scholarships.
