  1. Newton. At 3. No thanks. Just another reason to discount anything that John 'The Lightbulb' Clayton has to say.
  2. Dareus is who I want the Bills to take. Unfortunately, it won't happen since Kiper says it will.
  3. I was shocked when I saw this. I was just a kid during the French Connection's heyday and I loved watching them and those teams of the '70s. They're still my favorite Sabre players to this day. Very sad. Thoughts and prayers to the Martin family. R.I.P., Rick.
  4. Option A. I want nothing to do with Option C or any other that includes Cam Newton. I'd take Gabbert over him in a heartbeat. That said, I don't want a QB at 3 at all. I'd prefer to see if Locker or Mallett slide to Round 2 or even Ponder beyond that, if they really want a QB. I don't see how Ingram makes it past Miami or NE* in the first (or at NE's* pick in the 2nd ahead of ours). I'm a diehard Alabama fan and as much as I like Ingram, I don't want him. We have way higher priorities, foremost LB. I'd even take a QB before him. I want Dareus at three but that is looking less and less likely now. It's amazing how much some of you have soured on Fairley. Dareus shoots up the boards and all of a sudden Fairley is no good?? I'd do a cartwheel if the Bills have a shot at him and pull the trigger.
  5. Agreed. I don't care what any draft chart says either. If I know they're coming up to get what they perceive to be their franchise QB, I'm holding them hostage. Pay me a king's ransom or no deal.
  6. I previously said Fairley 1A & Dareus 1B. I'll move Dareus to 1A. You can throw Quinn in there, too. I'd be happy with any of those three.
  7. 1A - Fairley 1B - Dareus
  8. You also forgot: "GIT 'ER DONE!", "I trust Buddy and the FO", and "Anyone's better than L'il Donte".
  9. He was quite the douche back in the day, wasn't he? Not sure that he'd elicit the same emotions from fans as a coach, but who knows...couldn't hurt. BTW...love the Ultraman avatar.
  10. Agree. Maybe he could be our new Leonard Smith...the inspirational leader that cements this defense.
  11. I agree on Taylor. The Bills would be fortunate if he was still there at 34. I believe he'll be gone by late in the 1st.
  12. Welcome to the board! Don't let all the negativity around here scare you away...11 straight years of absolute futility tend to make a lot of these posters cranky. Be thankful that your organization isn't dealing with this. I've always respected Packer fans and their rich tradition and passion for the game, much like Bills fans. I was pulling for them in the Super Bowl. F the Stillers. I know a lot of their arrogant fans and was glad to see them get their comeuppance. Again, welcome. I hope you find your time here to be pleasant.
  13. No need to worry. Kelsay and his fat contract will pick up the slack... (sarcasm button off)
  14. The five with the most money...
  15. God, I hope not. Maniscalco was on AM 910 for several years here in Richmond and I couldn't stand him. Although he's from Buffalo, he's a Minnesota Viking and NY Ranger fan. How do you grow up in WNY and not like at least one of their pro teams? He never said anything worthwhile about the Bills or Sabres and took many shots at them. He said several times on-air that (paraphrasing) "Buffalo was not a hockey town but liked to think it was." WTF?? Now he's in Raleigh, NC covering the Hurricanes' pre- & postgame shows. Raleigh...great hockey town, right, Maniscalco? They can have him. I hope he never goes within 500 miles of WNY and I hope he never resurfaces in Richmond, either.
  16. Exactly. Does anyone actually laugh at newspaper comic strips?? Stealing an existing franchise, bad or not...absolutely hilarious.
  17. Good God, no. Please just stop...
  18. I'd sign on for those or the throwbacks in a heartbeat.
  19. I've thought for years that they should make it a national holiday. It's the one event that just about everyone watches whether or not they're a football fan. I rarely go to SB parties anymore, especially if I have to travel any distance. I have 8 and 10 year old boys and it's a school night for them. I don't like missing any of the game and I'd have to leave by haltime in order to get home and get them settled in bed. That's not an option for me so the wife, kids, and I usually watch at home (yes, I've hosted before but prefer not to do so). Knowing that the kids were out of school the next day would make me more inclined to go to a party. In fact, we were invited to one this year and declined for that very reason. Having a day off would be great but I can take the next day without any problem so it's not much of an issue for me personally. The other option I wouldn't mind is to hold the game on Saturday night. I don't buy into the BS that the NFL needs the game on Sunday. They threw that out the window when the decided to sell their product to the highest bidder(s) on Thursdays, Saturdays, Mondays, and even holidays. The game wouldn't suffer any ratings on Saturday, even if that's historically a horrible night for TV. People are out in bars partying anyway. They'd watch. So, yes, I'd prefer they make the Monday after the game a national holiday or, failing that, hold it on Saturday night. Anyway, that's my two cents, FWIW.
  20. I'm pulling for the Packers...and I think the Packers are going to win. I believe Rodgers runs Pittsburgh's DBs ragged and the game isn't as low scoring as many believe it will be. 34-17, GB.
  21. Wow, very cool! Thanks for sharing a rare piece of Buffalo Bills history.
  22. Agreed, WRT Ralph...same mouth. That's where I think the resemblance is anyway.
  23. I can't see him getting past Indy in the 1st.
