You're correct, Jack. That's exactly what it is. The location of the vent in relation to the decal is unfortunate.

I love the red standing buffalo...that's what I first knew as a kid. I was initially upset when they went to the charging buffalo in '74 but grew to love it, too. I guess I'm in the minority in that I love both logos as well as both the red and the white helmets. The only unis I have ever disliked were the Donahoe era abominations they just discarded and the red "throwback" helmet with the white standing buffalo during the Kelly era. I wasn't a fan of the stripe changes down the center of the red helmet during the Donahoe fiasco either. I'm onboard with any changes/tweaks that incorporate this franchise's tradition. I'm thankful that they didn't royally screw it up like the Sabres did with the red/white/black/grey goathead unis and the buffa-slug threads. I like what the Bills did this time and I hope they also return to using the the throwback unis and helmet for some games starting in 2012. Those would have been my preference for the permanent unis but I'm happy with what they just presented.

Thanks for sharing, Mike. Great stuff! Much better than anything the Bills released. Ha! I thought the same thing when I saw him. I noticed that, too, and thought it was odd. Why the difference? Is it just so one can immediately differentiate an authentic jersey from a replica?

NHL SABRES VS NFL BILLS TOMORROW!!!

The dead, Scottish folk hero or the cocktail? Either way, I'd like to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation. -
Absolutely not. Absolutely.

I thought the same thing but they posted these shortly after the unveiling.

Thanks for the link, mead. Nice little interview. One question, Scott..did they butcher your last name or is it just pronounced differently than it's spelled? -
Someone splain the meaning of this headline
ExWNYer replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lazy, piss-poor headline. Just another unwarranted cheap shot at the Bills. And for those of you who want to say "he's right...they suck...winning will make them relevant and stop all of this bashing...blah, blah, blah...": St. Louis, Tennessee, Seattle, Cleveland, Chicago, Arizona, & Carolina all had fewer total yards than the Bills and Minnesota, Miami, Cleveland, & Carolina all scored less. Why single out Buffalo? Yes, they've earned their share of criticism, and rightfully so, but crap like this gets tiring and is unjustified. -
LOL...absolutely! I still have mine from Dairy Queen as well as the sticker sheet of all the teams in the NFL at the time. Seriously, John?? The home blue monochrome and road white Tennessee Titan-esque abominations were hands down the WORST in Bills history. I can't believe you actually LIKE those awful eye sores. Yeesh! Thank God the aesthetic remnants of the Donahoe era are mere days from disappearing forever. Let's put the miserable reminders of the last decade plus to rest forever. Just right click any link you want to see, then left click the properties...you can see the url and never have to fear opening a link ever again.

Haven't you heard? That's been banned at The Ralph. -
Rubes, Bobby 'Tiptoe' Chandler was one of my favorite Bills players of all-time. If I saw that jersey, I'd give you a giant high five. New Era, Bruce is undoubtedly the greatest defensive player in Bills history and I have him at #2. You're entitled to believe Bruce was the best in Bills history and I respect that stance. I don't know if you're old enough to have seen OJ in his prime. If not, believe me when I say, he was unequivocally the best player in Bills history. If so, then you are one of the fortunate ones to have witnessed his gridiron greatness, like me. I'm just glad I got to see them both. GO BILLS!!!

That would be my only 'complaint', and a minor one at that. The facemask should be blue, like the one in my avatar. The grey looks great on the original white helmet with the red, standing bison much like the white facemask looks great on the red helmet (the blue facemask didn't work with the red helmet). Would prefer blue belts, too. All in all, I'd still be more than happy with the changes if what's been "leaked" is true.
-
I agree with all of the responses above. I saw both of them play and OJ was the better player, no question. He had it all as a RB...power, speed, and good hands. He was a very good and underrated receiver, despite what some would have you believe. I would love to have seen him on the Super Bowl teams in his prime. Wow. The greatest player in Bills history, IMHO. Unbelievable, rare talent. Reprehensible human being.

Will this class act be leading the spree? -
All of the above. He is a worthless douchebag of mammoth proportions and interested in making a buck only. He'd raise prices on everything dramatically and the team would be gone in a couple of years. Let him and his loudmouthed, big city ego stay where it belongs in the NYC/NJ area.

Ralph Wilson is so old...when he was born, dirt hadn't yet been invented.

Former Bill Jerry Butler...
ExWNYer replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember watching that game and seeing it on the NFL Game of The Week highlights. Amazing. Jerry had Hall of Fame talent. Too bad he couldn't have played longer. Agreed. He, Bob Chandler, and J.D. Hill are still my favorite Bills WRs to this day. -
No they don't...just ask his wife. j/k Rich, hope you are well, my friend...how about a phone call soon? It's been too long. BTW, you know I'm a diehard 'Bama fan and was advocating Dareus before most (despite a brief flirtation with Fairley). Spot on analysis, as usual.

What the pundits also don't know: Chan Gailey is currently an NFL Head Coach and Buddy Nix is currently an NFL GM. The pundits are neither and in most cases never were. And they DON'T know what this team needs/has as much as CG & BN do.

Not to mention Philip Rivers.

I'm sure the Jills can find a spot for her! -
I think Dukes was an ass as they were signing off, too. Johnson was talking about Fitzpatrick and referred to him as "Fitzmagic" whereby Dukes proceeded to say, "17 points a game is magic?", "28th in offense?" He said it a little under his breath and SJ apparently didn't hear it. I don't have a problem with Dukes speaking his mind but you rarely see an analyst talk negatively about a team when a memeber of that team is on the set. I just thought that he should have stood there like everybody else, smiled, and let the screen fade to black. Classless move on his part, IMO.
