  1. 7 out of 10 on ESPN pick the Bills. Interestingly, the two guys with the best records for the season pick the Lions. http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks
  2. Just got the text from the Bills
  3. Home field 3 points I guess. Reasonable with Stafford out I suppose. Saw Donte on the news saying how Detroit should be favored because they have won 2 games. Nice confidence there eh
  4. I doubt anyone would argue against this. However, "pleasant surprise for a 7th round pick" is a far cry from "impact player".
  5. I agree with everything you said. But a lot of fans do not treat it like a business, it is their passion. And as such continue to support the business that, as you said, has been providing "substandard product" for over a decade on the promise of a better future.
  6. No offense, but these are silly (albeit sincere I'm sure) statements. Football, particularly Bills football, might be a passion of the fans. But believe me, it is a business first and foremost to owners, FO people, coaches, players and everyone else associated with the NFL as their profession. Do you seriously expect someone like Mr. Wilson to do something crazy like sell the team to Kelly on the cheap just because he thinks Kelly will keep the team in the area? He didn't get to where he is by being a bad businessman. And the answer to your "How much money do you need to leave your family?" question is "as much as possible".
  7. Brandons job is Marketing. His job is to put asses in the seats and generally make the team money. A winning team is a good way to do it, if you are a real GM. Marketing guys rely on gimmicks ... you know, like the T.O. signing last year.
  8. The Rochester Sports segment of the news last night claimed SM has not made such a statement. Nor did he say that he would sign if an offer was received. Think about it, it would be pretty stupid for him to make a statement like that, even if that is how he feels.
  9. With the game being in Buffalo and Stafford out, this game is a toss up. The Bills get the tie they were robbed of a few weeks ago. 20-20
  10. That really sucks. Roscoe finally gets used correctly and this happens.
  11. Future Headline ... Jerry Jones said one of the biggest mistakes he made as Cowboys owner was to fire Chan Gailey Wade Phillips.
  12. If the Bills hadn't dropped that int. If the Bills had caught that pass. If the Bills hadn't fumbled that return. If all refs didn't hate the Bills. If Scarlett Johansson had slept with me last night I'd have permagrin. All the If's in the world don't add up to ****.
  13. It's all JJ's fault anyway. He did fire Gailey after all
  14. He is trying to come from behind in desperation at the end of the game and is forcing throws that even he would normally not try.
  15. I was wondering that myself during the entire game.
  16. Looks like he may have re-injured his shoulder. If so, that's good news for the Bills. But it's a tough break for the kid. I have to admit, I was looking forward to watching him play.
  17. I disagree. It was going to be 4th and 10 anyway and the game on the line. Chan almost certainly was going to take a timeout anyway. By making them review the play he not only got a little extra time, but the call could have been overturned (stranger things have happened). A good strategic challenge in my opinion.
  18. Crowd noise???
  19. Rochester Time Warner gets every MSG sabres game in HD this season, and got todays Bills game in HD as well. Guess we were lucky. I can handle football in SD because there isn't that much action. But I can't watch hockey in SD anymore.
  20. It was actually a neutral game today. Just like the teams that play a game in Europe, only with significantly less travel. The people who make this a neutral, or away, game are the Bills fans who do not go.
  21. Which list is this? A quick Google didn't find it for me.
  22. Work firewall blocking, but I see it is a WGR link so you are probably correct.
  23. How can they possibly want more when it has been such a failure so far. Maybe they need to lose a lot of money for tax purposes or something.
  24. I agree with you. I suspect he was trying to be funny. I also suspect the only people who are reacting negatively to this have ties to the Buffalo area. The rest chuckle (or maybe not) and move on.
  25. Good sport and seems like a nice kid.
