  1. This is the year /Sarcasm
  2. The one wide right *just got chills* was almost as bad.
  3. I can see both side of that discussion. The other side is Santos had been solid to that point, and it's not like the titans offense was carving up the Bills D every possession. I can see where he might let Santos have another go. Less faith in the result, and more the other choice was even less appealing.
  4. They really didn't have much of a choice, probably a blood offering for the fans.
  5. No. The offense is far too weak still. Making great progress. Stay the course. No point ***** everything up by being impatient at this point.
  6. Apparently he had been solid all season up to that point. If it had been good, then the thread would have been about the great decision showing confidence in his kicker.
  7. Makes you really appreciate having a solid, reliable week in and week out, kicker. Several teams do not this season.
  8. Watching on TV it was crazy, crowd noise was as loud when the titans were on offense as it was when the Bills had the ball.
  9. It looked like it was blocked, but I do not think it was. At least that's what the announcers were saying. And if it was blocked at the line, it was kicked way too low. Good kickers make 50 yarders when the pressure is on .. or at least keep it in the same zipcode as the goalposts. Dude had what must have been the worst game of his life ... and thank goodness for that.
  10. 1) Bill patchwork O-Line ... had no business playing well, yet they did 2) Cairo Santos ... left 12 points on the field and the Bills won by 7. Do the math. 3) Bill D ... keeps on rollin'
  11. If you think it's puzzling to try and figure out what the league will fine and suspend for, just imagine what it must be like for the teams and the players. It must be maddening for them.
  12. The leagues, as that who is paying their salaries. It is always in the leagues best interest for starters (best players) to play.
  13. Plausible deniability comes to mind. NFL wanting to avoid potential lawsuits. Not hard to see, As I said twice now, could be on the up and up, but your blind faith in the NFL being good guys out for what's best for the players seems naive to me.
  14. They wouldn't need a independent consultant if all there was to it is reading the results of the testing.
  15. How would he lose his license? You can't prove malpractice in a case like this. It's not like he prescribed the wrong medication. It could all be on the up and up. We don't know either way. But there is a lot of money and high paying jobs on the line. That usually plays a part in decisions is all I'm saying.
  16. This Independent Neurologist is paid by whom? None of us know the details, but never ever underestimate the greed of the NFL or the GM and HC need to win now at all costs. Paid by whom?
  17. NHL is a much longer, more physical (overall) season. Missing a few more games in a NHL season doesn't hurt as much as it does is the very short NFL season. The NHL does tend to error on the side of caution much more so than the NFL. Not just it's star players, but everyone. Your guess is as good as mine as to why that is so. But with every game being so important to the standings in the NFL, and coaches/GMs jobs depending largely on standings, ultimately I think that is the root cause.
  18. I have no love for any NE teams. But all the crying like this is as obnoxious as perpetually losing to those ass clowns.
  19. I hope it scares a little bit of the game out of him. See the thread about Brady's post game comment for more details. Playing like he has been, this was inevitable. He has to learn there is a time and place for how he runs, and a time and a place for a throwaway/slide.
  20. Hopefully once the cobwebs clear and he watches the replay, it will be obvious to him. But like the stupid throws he can't seem to stop doing, he has been a gamer and a strong runner his entire playing career as well. Tough habit to break in the heat of the moment. But maybe his GF can help with that. That hit probably scared the ***** out of her.
  21. Actual Allen *should* absolutely take that advice .. in addition to the other things you mentioned Sometimes he is too much of a gamer for his own good.
  22. I also think he is pissed ... at himself. He had a horrible game. The cheap-shot on Allen certainly is on his mind as well, but if he isn't pissed at himself, he should be.
  23. Allen needs to get better. McDermott needs to get significantly better. Yesterdays clock/game/challenge management was an embarrassment.
  24. I have not lost faith. He is the same now as he was in college. Same strengths, and same weaknesses. Early this season he showed signs he was "getting it" and not making the stupid plays. That came crashing down yesterday. Some say that's how he was in college, how he is now, and how he will always be. If those people are correct, his career as a starter will be short lived. If he turns it around somehow, he could be something special.
  25. You must not have seen him after the blocked punt TD. They showed him on TV, all kinds of fired up. Playing like ***** for someone of his stature will tend to make you more subdued, he was plenty pissed at himself and others. Allen was playing like ***** too with all the mistakes. Did you see him on the sidelines? He was showing no fire either, and he is a young kid with a big fire in his belly. I wouldn't read too much into a player, any player, not being like coach McClappy all the time.
