  1. I think they go DE, with Travian Robertson or Donte Paige-Moss.
  2. I rarely start threads, but I've seen people throwing around draft grades, and I think that approach doesn't mirror how most of us view the draft. I'm interested in your opinions, pick by pick. 1. Gilmore - Given who was available during the pick, I'm very happy with our selection. With Kalil, Blackmon, Kuechly, (and Barrron) gone, Gilmore was our only real option, imo. 2. Glenn - I'm a Martin fan, but how can we be upset with this pick? Excellent value, excellent prospect. Very happy. 3. Graham - My least favorite pick this far. He's certainly a burner, but needs a lot of work for an early 3rd rounder. His hands seem so-so, fumble issues, and his blocking is bad. That being said, Chan seems thrilled to have him on the team, and I hope that Chan's right about him. 4. Bradham - Fantastic pick in round 4. Good physical specimen, plays with passion. I think he'll see significant time by years' end. 4. Brooks - Another pick I love. Watch him pop out on special teams play, and force his way onto the dime package. 5. Sanders - Another excellent pick, great value in the 5th. Great head on his shoulders, a lot of experience, glad to see another capable tackle who can play both sides. 5. Carder - Yet another pick I'm happy about. Great instincts, good tackler, Rose Bowl MVP. Can't believe he broke his back when he was a kid. 6. Asper - While some of us we're looking at McNutt with this pick, I am not terribly upset. I'm happy to see we're making a concerted effort to build a solid Oline, with good depth. 7. Potter - Interesting. I was convinced they were going to add another DE. I wanted a tall WR to develop. They catch us all off guard and draft a kicker, even though when Lindell went down we all realized just how stable he has been.
  3. While I wanted to draft McNutt, I like stocking up on Olinemen.
  4. And the only person on the board who could post a unintentionally funny response comes to the rescue!
  5. I thought that was our offensive line.
  6. Man I hope so.
  7. Martin please.
  8. To be fair, strategies have changed considerably since those players were in the league.
  9. I might be around. There's a home game the day before though. I was thinking of driving down to san jose to meet those Backers.
  10. They showed highlight reels for EVERY pick until ours. Of course they cut to an RGIII phone call right after our pick. Ridiculous.
  11. The Bills already have the #41 selection. I assume you mean the Bills would geet SD's #18, #49, and #110 (4th rounder)? Interesting. EDIT: ha, quick work Bandit.
  12. Very cool, thanks for the link.
  13. Kalil - USC Martin - Stanford (woot!) I'd be fine with both (obviously kalil would be ahuge get), to be honest. I have no idea how tomorrow will shake out. This is wide open.
  14. I laughed when they called various linebackers, "true thumpers." This was all the rage in '09.
  15. It doesn't say anything about non-green room draft picks. There are many picks, some of them top 10, who aren't in attendance. Will we have to put up with that those phone calls? I want answers!
  16. Ugh. A week ago, I thought I had a grasp on all of our possibilities, each of which I could tolerate. These last few days, everything's out the window. I'm desperately hoping that the Barron buzz is Nix's attempt to lure a trade.
  17. This really is the best thread since MarioWatch. I'm so glad I clicked on this.
  18. This year. I predict 5th round.
  19. This has been said before, but I would be ecstatic if we landed Kalil.
  20. Oh please don't let this prediction come true
  21. I hope this wasn't directed at me. I stated my hopes for the future of professional sports, not my beliefs on how or why the NFL operates, nor what is likely to happen. I understand that marijuana is illegal, and that is the primary reason why the NFL tests for it, and prohibits it. I completely understand the concern of many, who look at Mike Adams' positive test as a lapse in common sense. After all, it is pretty remarkable that he knew a test was coming during the biggest audition of his life, and still tested positive. That being said, I don't think it's absurd for posters to remark on how trifling these tests/laws may seem. On Mike Adams - Two distinct off-field issues should raise red flags. I wonder how far he falls.
  22. I can't wait for the day when one of the major sports leagues says they'll stop testing for/prohibiting marijuana use. Hopefully it starts a trend. Ideally we'd see full on legalization, but I get more cynical as to whether it's possible as the years go by. Now, for Mike Adams, if I were him I would have stopped smoking for a month or two before the combine. Maybe he did and thought he was clean, but trace amounts were left...he is a LT after all, and it takes longer to get clean if you have more bodyfat... Anyway, I couldn't care less about prospects and weed. I know many players who - beyond being revered by fans and praised for their character - smoke (and smoked) weed regularly throughout their careers.
