  1. Would it be possible to make the 2019 picks conditional on his signing ??
  2. With Denver losing a draft pick, perhaps they would be more amenable to a trade down to #12. Just saying.
  3. Lets say we move to #2. Does anyone think that it would be a good trade for us to move back to #3, especially if it seems that the Jets are panicking that they won't be getting their man? I think that we could wind up this way with our QB, perhaps Mayfield or Rosen, plus getting back some of the draft assets we lost in moving up to #2.
  4. You're right. The Bills have to decide if one of these QB's is "their guy". If he is, then they will do what ever it takes to move up & grab him. If they aren't sold on anyone in particular, with the signing of McCarron, they now have the ability to either remain at #12 or do a mini trade up to get their 2nd thru 4th choice. It all depends if they view one of these guys as a can't miss NFL QB. Beane is too smart to waste all of his draft capital on a QB that he & his scouts deem "iffy".
  5. He may very well be average. Darnold & Rosen, etc. may also be average. We really don't know for sure now, do we ?
  6. I guess it is how you want to look at it. I look at it as a swap of 1sts, and the price to swap up is the 3- 2nds.
  7. 3 - 2nds for their guy. Doesn't seem like a heck of a lot to me.
  8. Relax Tipster. I am also in Ft. Myers. Hope to bump into you here.
  9. Perhaps you are right - he is nothing to get excited over. However, remember the Steeler playoff game. In the face of a good pass rush, he made plays , was confident, and except for a team members fumble, would have won the playoff game as a decided underdog. The kid just looks like a winner to me. We shall see.
  10. He was a very good college QB. When he got to start with the Bengals, he played well. I prefer to move up a little & get our QB, but McCarron will be a fine QB for someone.
  11. They may have more cap room but they do not have more draft capital than us. In fact, imo, next to Cleveland, we may have the most draft capital.
  12. Relax 3rd, it was funny.
  13. Are these " ticks " positive or negative ?
  14. In listing our draft choices left after moving up, you forgot that we will have a 1st, the one that we traded up for.
  15. He is no Michael Vick, but he isn't a statue either. Re his arm strength; it seems to be pretty average & good enough. How he digests the WR routes vs the defenses that will be thrown at him, is the real question. He can get away with an average arm if he is quick to read what's in front of him. Because of the Offense he played in, it is difficult to answer that question.
  16. Two QBs: Joe Fergeson & Jim Kelly. Both had good arms. Both were accurate passers. Both were good in the pocket. Neither was very mobile. One turned out to be decent but average. The other has a gold jacket. IMO, Darnold & Mayfield remind me of Kelly. Rosen, a nice QB with all the measurables, just doesn't. If we don't sign Cousins, unlikely, I am all for using our draft capital to trade up. We will wind up with two 2s and a #1, the pick that we trade up for. I'm just not sure that the trade up should be for Rosen.
  17. I admit that I have only seen Rudolph play once & I have also seen video hi lites. I know that the hi lites aren't the best way to evaluate a QB, but one can easily see that Rudolph definitely does not have a week arm. Is he Elway? No. But his arm looks adequate for the pro game.
  18. I know they are just hi lite videos, but Rudolph may be better than some people think.
  19. It was sarcasm, Rush
  20. So, if they do the trade you mention, they will then have left a 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th. The 1st will be the #3 pick. It seems to me that this is the reason that you accumulate draft capital.
  21. Agree. There is something special about Mayfield. If he were 6'3", I think he would be going #1. He might still. He just seems to have that fire in his eye. I remember years ago driving in N.E. right after Brady took over for Bledsoe. Sports radio was discussing who should be the QB when Bledsoe returns. I remember the sports announcer saying that Bledsoe was history. He could just see that intangible something in Brady - whatever "it" is, Brady had it. He was right. I'm sure that Mayfield has his plusses & minuses like everyone else, but in my opinion he has a lot more plusses. I have a feeling that he is going number 1. I hope that I am wrong as I would love to see him in a Bills uniform.
  22. Relax, KJ. It's not like you to get all lathered up.
  23. Slow! Are you kidding. He is the fastest QB I have ever seen.
