  1. They've all stunk. Every damn one of them. I think I could sum up my feeling last week as disbelief, as it still continues to boggle me how a franchise, in the day in age we live in of free agency, parody etc., can miss on as many things for as many years as this team. It's absolutely jaw dropping...
  2. This 1000%. I'm with yyou on continuity, but there's also a big part of me that wonders exactly what that continuity is going to mean and consist of... Continuity of undisciplined play? Continuity of inconsistent/safe quarterback play? Continuity of bad tackling? As I said, this football team and this organization will never be taken seriously until it first takes itself seriously. The furthest this from "serious" is Rex Ryan...
  3. Tanking shouldn't be a problem for this organization. Unfortunately, we've never even been able to do that right unless we were "rebuilding" ala 2001. I see us going 7-9 or 8-8. Picking somewhere between 10th-15th. AGAIN... ^^This.
  4. Would it be insane to suggest Josh McDaniels as HC (if Rex is fired) and Pettine as DC?!
  5. I will say that there needs to be some sort of coaching change defensively. The offsides and personal foul penalties are absolutely embarrassing. Scheme needs a facelift also. Any way u slice it, this ain't working...
  6. I may be in the minority here, but I had no issue with the way Shady handled himself after the game. Nevermind the fact that he wanted to beat the Eagles and stick it to Chip Kelly, but the Bills absolutely had to have that one, and in the end, the same old self inflicted crap cost them the game and their season. There was no better time and place than last Sunday for not only the Bills to make a statement, but Shady as well and the whole organization from top to bottom failed. And honestly, I don't think they win another game this season. I expect, after that defeat last week, for them to be flat as a pancake the rest of the way. However, no matter his motives, it was nice for at least one dude to show an emotion that this entire fan base felt. I like having a guy who's not okay with losing and mediocrity, no matter the circumstances...
  7. We have the current longest playoff drought in the league in a day in age where parody get a team in every 5 or 6 years. 16!!! That's embarrassing! Its embarrassing when we've beaten a division rival 3 times since 2000! It ain't about credibility. These are facts!
  8. 16 years. Over a decade and a half of futility. How is this even possible in this day in age of free agency, salary caps etc.? I've been a fan of this team since the mid 80s. And no, unlike a lot of hot headed fans on this day, I'm not going to make the mistake of saying I'm "turning in my fan card" or "I'm done". It's easy to get caught up in the emotion of another lost season. I get it. But I, like so many of you, have been through a lot of heartbreak and letdown from this organization since that infamous last playoff game in Nashville in 1999. I'm married to this team. They cannot possibly break my heart anymore. I'm unphased by anything this team does (or doesn't do, for that matter). And I couldn't possibly bring myself to route or follow another team in my lifetime. Call it a glutten for punishment, or what have you, but I'm a Bills fan til the good lord calls my name. However, I will say this: The Buffalo Bills are the biggest embarrassment in professional sports right now. Yes, there are the 1-24 Philadelphia 76ers right now. There was the 2008 winless Detroit Lions, and I'm sure there are other franchises I'm leaving out within the last 16 years, but if there are, in fact, fans of this team that legitimately "done" with the Bills, I have a message for all of you: I don't blame you one bit.l! Recently, I made a post on this message board and summarized (to the best of my ability) how unbelievably and inexplicably this team has missed the playoffs in 16 years. However, this season in particular has made it very difficult to continue my fandom of this team. My patience was tested this season probably more than any other in these 16 years. We all knew what we were getting last January when the Rex Ryan hire was made. And whether any of you admit it or not, it got us excited! This was the guy that was supposed to make an already formitable defence from a year ago into "one of the best ever". We also were blindly promised by the former coach of our rival that we were "going" (to the playoffs). Added to this was the addition of LeSean McCoy and Percy Garvin. While McCoy has certainly lived up to at least the majority of the hype, Harvin vanished into relative obscurity. Sammy Watkins, when given the opportunity, showed exactly what kind of weapon he could be this year. So, where did it all go wrong (again)?! How did all of this talent go to waste? Because it was put in the hands of a man who knows how to do nothing but talk a lot of nonsense, then subsequently eat those very words. Rex Ryan provided two good years in New York. Other than that (as a head coach), he's done nothing but eat his words. He's a side show. An attraction. Much like Donald Trump "running for president". It has entertainment value, sure. But at the end of the day, is Donald Trump a wise choice for the presidency of this country?! Rex bolstered season ticket sales, terrific. But at the end of the day (and season), it was nothing more than hard working people's money being contributed to the same cause: Mediocrity! I'm all for continuity, but not with this man. Not for a guy who should be held accountable for his team committing an embarrassing amount of game costing, season breaking penalties in 2015, and a man who almost chuckles and smirks at the idea of a plan of correction in regards to this. If this organization is ever going to be taken seriously not just by the media, but it's own fans ever again, it first needs to take itself seriously. And that starts by the firing of Rex Ryan. Will it happen? Probably not. The Pegulas stand to eat too much of his contracted salary. But, its not as if they can't afford it. And the first thing they promised after they took over ownership from the Wilson family was a change in culture A change we're still awaiting...16 years later... We deserve better...
  9. Tyrod doesn't miss tackles, or extra points, or commit a ridiculous number of boneheaded penalties. I know we're all runnin pretty hot after this loss, but after the smoke clears and we gain some clear-headed perspective, any realistic Bills fan will see he's been a solid addition to this football team and with some work and experience, will only become a better quarterback for us.
  10. Come on, guys. We've had to worse around here within this 16 years of misery. Tyrod's got room for improvement, but he's far from the biggest problem on this particular group...
  11. The penalty epidemic is enough for me alone to say FIRE REX NOW! How many games could've been won this year if we were even somewhat disciplined. Rex almost chuckles at the notion anytime the penalty and issue is brought up.
  12. We're our own worst enemy. The story of the 2015 Buffalo Bills is as cut and dry as that.
  13. Leodis McKelvins a complete embarrassment and a poor excuse for a football player.
  14. Leodis McKelvin had better not be a Buffalo Bill next season...
  15. If Antonio Brown was targeted 4 times a game I'm sure he and Big Ben would have some issues...
  16. While I do appreciate the enthusiasm and positivity (because these emotions are scarce within most realistic and long suffering die hard fans), making the playoffs with all the help we need from other teams at this point would be an accomplishment in of itself at this juncture. Listen, the AFC is clearly the stronger conference this year. Cincinnati has proven that they're a different team in 2015 than in years past, when they would trot through the regular season, only to go one-and-done in the playoffs. And a lot of "experts" have fallen in love with Pittsburgh's offense over the course of the last two or three weeks, but if you ask me, The Bengals have evolved into the most complete team in the conference and are the favorites as of right now, in my view, anyway. The key to that matchup Sunday is how Cincy compensates for not having Adam Jones to cover either Martavious Bryant or Antonio Brown, but the Bengals should get the win at home. As far as the Patriots go, down the road, once they get Edelman and Gronkowski back at 100 percent, they're a totally different team. But as we saw last week, the hoodie needs to tighten up the special teams heading into the postseason. And the Bills have beaten New England all of three times since 2001! Maybe the most favorable of the Bills matchup in the playoffs would probably be against Denver. I haven't seen enough of Osweiler yet to annoit him as a franchise quarterback, and if Peyton plays, it's not as if he's the Peyton from 2005, 2006 etc. But I do enjoy and appreciate the op's enthusiasm. Were just not on that level as of yet. A playoff berth after 15 years would be suffice to this fan, but I can't speak for everyone... GO BILLS!
  17. Undefeated when Spero and Solly call the games this year! Just sayin!
  18. Don't get me wrong, yesterday's win was huge even though we didn't get much of the help we needed yesterday from the Giants and Colts. But Dan Carpenter's becoming a huge liability to this team and I fear that eventually he may cost us down the stretch as it's looking like we're going to need to run the table and probably still need a couple teams to stumble along the way. Yes, I understand there are other more glaring flaws on this team, but dude's missed FOUR extra points this year, not to mention some other crucial kicks. Not sure what the crop of free agent kickers are, maybe someone could fill me in on this, but I know had Houston drove down the field and scored to win 28-27 yesterday, the entire Ralph Wilson Stadium crowd probably would've stormed the field and straight up "ended" Mr. Carpenter...
  19. Nobody we have can block him anyway so screw it. If my assignment on Sunday was JJ Watt and I wasn't worth a pot to piss in, I'd probably be "ill", too...
  20. Bianca Wilfork will be in the stands this Sunday and thus we will lose the game...
  21. Why move him around when he can make Henderson his own personal biotch all game? Anyone remember the game Derrick Thomas had vs. Seattle years ago when he set the single game sack record? That will be broken this week...by ALOT.
  22. Well, we know it won't be Seantrel Henderson. You actually have to make contact with another human being in some way shape or form to administer a bloody nose... ZING!!!
  23. Let's throw a prediction in here! Which will be the greater number on Sunday: The number of Sacks Watt has against Seantrel Henderson? OR The number of holding calls against Seantrel Henderson?
