POLL: NE Cheating - What should be done?
Buffalo Beeeews replied to dtgolder's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am a firm believer that the NFL should mirror College Football for repeat offenders and put a team on probation for at least one year. Now, while this has happened to Penn State (most recently), Ohio State and others for much more deviant acts, if an NFL team is caught cheating once, fine them OR they forfeit a draft pick at the leagues discretion. If a second offense happens within a designated time frame (say under the same regime i.e. GM, Head Coach etc.), The team is allowed to be labeled a division champion (if they win enough ball games) per usual, but are disqualified from being in the playoffs, and the other wildcard team would take its place. Much like in CFB, teams on probation with good records still were banned from being bowl eligible for that time frame. -

In 2015...BRRRROCKKK LLLESNARRRR!!!! -
If it is found true the the Pats* did, in fact, tamper with game balls in the AFC Championship game, and the hoodie was found to be behind it, being that this is the second instance (that we know of) of New England trying to gain an unfair advantage, he should be suspended from the league for 2015 IMO. I dont see where Belichick is any different. Now true, in New Orleans it was found that Payton and Greggo were offering incentive to defensive personel to blatenly injure players on the opposing team. But cutting corners and blatenly breaking league rules I believe the punishment should be just ad harsh, especially since this IS the second occasion. The "wrist slaps" and taking draft picks away ain't gonna teach these bozos squat. Especially since they can still go out and sign free agents. The New England Patriots are no better than any other of the 31 NFL teams. It's a shame they're treated that way though...both on and off the field.

Ya know something? Spiller and his underachievements get under my skin quite a bit. This pretty much was the straw that broke this camel's back. Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya, CJ! -

Marrone interviewing in Denver
Buffalo Beeeews replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marrone, at best, will land a coordinator or College gig this year, at best. No matter how you spin your tail, he quit on this organization and he's gonna have that stink on him for a while. His own doing! -

MMQB: Why Rex Ryan Makes Sense in Buffalo
Buffalo Beeeews replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm intrigued on who Rex settles on as his quarterback. This will be critical and the difference between a 7-9 season or an 11-5ish season. We all know that. My gut tells me there will be a reunion with Mark Sanchez (which I'm on the fence about, honestly). I think EJ's chances are pretty slim of not only being the starter, but even being on the 53 man roster come opening day. The lost faith in him league-wide is actually pretty astonishing! I'm thinking either Cutler or Sanchez get brought in, and our 2nd or 3rd RD pick is a quarterback to develop. -
Who ya got? I got: AFC Championship: New England 35 Indianapolis 24 NFC Championship: Green Bay 23 Seattle 21 Luck has been as hot as any QB in the NFL over the last month, but as much as it pains me, this is where Brady thrives and with the twilight of his career (I think) soon coming, I dont see any stopping him in this spot, unfortunately. As for the NFC, I gotta weird feeling about this one. Seattle is virtually unstoppable at home. Yet, when I watch their games..somethins missin. Somethin they had last year just isn't there this time around. If Rodgers calf is close to 100 percent, I could see Green Bay pullin the upset. Eddie Lacy could be the key for the Pack in this one though.

After the introductory presser, I can see these two comin at each other Guns-a-blazin in 2015 (especially after a loss). And btw, I dont see Sully comin out smellin like roses more often than not!

Spiller sounds like he is likely to come back
Buffalo Beeeews replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Except Spiller can't run into anything but his own blockers and can never seem to find the holes. I've said it a million times: CJ Spiller needs to be used in a Darren Sproles / Brian Westbrook type role. Out of the backfield in space. If Roman wont use him properly, I can live with Freddy and Boobie if it's gonna be a "ground and pound" type philosophy. Otherwise I let Spiller walk if I'm Rex. -
Last check, his interview with the New York Jets reportedly did not go well. Now it appears he's not even being considered for not only that job but I haven't heard his name mentioned elsewhere as even a possible candidate. Am I mistaken? If not, serves ya right, St. Doug! Nobody wants nor respects a quitter. Rex coming here, on the other hand, gives me more respect for him than I already had. The QB situation here (as of right now) is pretty grim. He could've taken probably more attractive jobs (if offered) in either Atlanta or San Francisco with more stable QB situations in those two cities with Matt Ryan and Colin Kaepernick, respectively. Instead, Rex chose Buffalo. Rex has never shyed away from a challenge. I think we're in good hands. Thoughts?

Has Marrone's hand been forced?
Buffalo Beeeews replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Manuel was still thought of as the quarterback of the future of this team, yesterday in a meaningless week 17 game would've been the time to see what he had. Marrone still did not play him...
